After comparing several options for my Dali vacation, I finally settled on Nefertiti, and it was the luckiest decision of my entire trip! The guesthouse has a refreshing Santorini vibe, with perfect photo opportunities everywhere you look. The infinity pool and terrace hot tubs directly face the entire Erhai Lake, offering breathtaking views of Cangshan's sunset glow and the ocean at dusk. Every shot turns out stunning without any filters needed. The location is truly unbeatable, just a ten-minute drive from Dali High-Speed Railway Station. The hotel provides a complimentary pick-up service, and the butler contacted me in advance to confirm my arrival time, so I didn't have to worry about my heavy luggage at all. Getting a taxi or ordering takeout was incredibly convenient. The amenities are top-notch, with a full smart home control system. A Dyson hairdryer, disposable bath towels, face towels, steam eye masks, mouthwash, laundry detergent, disinfected slippers, and a complete set of toiletries are all provided, showcasing attention to detail at every turn. The room was spacious, with large floor-to-ceiling windows and a scenic balcony. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the entire room was spotlessly clean with no unpleasant odors. It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful, ensuring several nights of sound sleep. The public areas offer a wealth of facilities, including a gym, a private cinema, a mahjong/card room, and a sea-view afternoon tea restaurant. The sea-view dining by the pool was fantastic, and the freshly ground coffee was exceptional. The butlers and staff were gentle and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. They were genuinely warm and friendly, and even proactively recommended local hidden gems and authentic eateries, helping us avoid tourist traps. We even received occasional heartwarming surprises. Upon checkout, the hotel gifted us flower cakes embossed with 'Dali,' available in four flavors. It's clear the owner put a lot of thought into preparing these souvenirs for guests. This place is perfect for couples, families, or friends traveling together. With new facilities, meticulous service, stunning views, and incredible value for money, my entire stay was comfortable and relaxing, curing all my travel fatigue. I've already recommended it to all my friends, and next time I visit Dali, I'll definitely choose Nefertiti again!

I booked a garden view room which came with two small courtyards, one in the front and one in the back. The room was spacious and very clean. Opening the window to see the blue sky and white clouds was incredibly relaxing. 😎 The hotel's back entrance leads to a parking lot, making it convenient for parking and calling for a ride. The front entrance is right next to an ecological corridor, and directly across from Erhai Lake! Extremely convenient! The hotel's location is excellent, offering peace and quiet yet close to everything. Misan Bookstore, which is absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos, is just a 200-meter walk away. Later, when we cycled past Caicun Village and S-bay, it was crowded with people and cars, which made me appreciate the hotel's location even more. 👍 The hotel staff, especially the gentlemen, were also great. They helped us plan our itinerary, and the food was fantastic – we even came back to the hotel for dinner twice! There was also an afternoon tea and sweet soup in the evening, which was a nice touch! Overall, highly recommended!

Warm Light by Erhai Lake Once again, we say goodbye with that familiar ache of reluctance in our hearts. Yet this farewell is softened by a unexpected tenderness—a beautiful twist of fate. A sudden bout of altitude sickness in Lijiang forced us to alter our plans and return to Dali. Little did we know this detour would lead us to the most wonderful surprise: XingMu Villa, tucked away on the green slopes of Haidong. Perhaps this was destiny's gentle hand at work all along? We were truly blessed to meet the villa's kind-hearted owners, whose genuine warmth made us feel as though we had returned to a home we never knew we had. The goodbye was especially moving. When our driver, Master He, arrived, the owners personally came out to see us off. We shared joyful smiles in a farewell photo, and they gifted us my favorite rose tea—a touching gesture I'll always remember. The hostess, aware of my recent knee injury, carefully helped me into the car, her eyes filled with such sincere care, as if I were her own. When she said how much she enjoyed hosting us and how special we were to her, my heart echoed every word. Though every wonderful journey must eventually end, the memories we've made here will stay with us forever. As our car carried us away, the gentle scent of rose tea still lingered, a fragrant reminder of this heartwarming chapter. Until we meet again, XingMu Villa. The owner was exceptionally thoughtful and meticulous. Fearing guests might want to take beautiful photos by the sea, the hotel prepared many lovely long dresses for photoshoots. Each dress is washed and kept clean after every use, so even if you get wet playing by the sea, there's no need to worry. You don't have to bring your own heavy clothes, making it easy to capture that perfect beach vibe. The small amenities in the room were also thoughtfully and warmly prepared: makeup remover wipes, disposable toilet seat covers, and feminine hygiene products were all provided, along with clean disposable towels as an option. The owner quietly anticipated and took care of all those little inconveniences travelers often encounter. The daily afternoon tea was also very generous, with substantial ingredients and ample portions, not just flimsy snacks. Sitting by the sea, slowly enjoying tea, watching the ocean, and feeling the breeze, allows you to leisurely soak in the gentle time in Dali.

This is truly my dream room! I could lie in bed and watch Erhai Lake! Facilities: The room facilities are excellent. The hairdryer is Dyson, there's a Harman Kardon speaker, and a projector. The quality is top-notch. The bedding is also very comfortable. The room I booked also had a large soaking tub, which was very nice~ Hygiene: It was spotlessly clean. Environment: The environment is absolutely superb! The room itself is perfect for photos! The public areas are also great for pictures! You can even watch Erhai Lake while eating breakfast~ Service: The butler service was excellent. They were responsive to any requests, helped carry luggage to the room, and even explained how to use the showerhead in the bathroom. Very thoughtful.

Back in Dali, I decided to revisit the Xianyun 360-degree Cliff Seaview Hot Spring B&B, and it truly lived up to expectations! The front desk staff were incredibly polite and attentive. I later found out that the humble and helpful manager, who was always ready to assist, was also from Beijing, which made me feel right at home. The B&B's environment is serene and immaculate. The private hot spring pool in the room is definitely the highlight. Soaking in the hot spring, you're directly facing the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake – it's like a landscape painting come to life. During my downtime, I loved sitting on the balcony, gazing at Cangshan and Erhai, which was incredibly therapeutic after a long journey. The restaurant's dishes were delicious and flavorful. My experience was as excellent as ever, truly a hidden gem of a seaview B&B. Choosing to stay here twice speaks volumes about its reliable quality. Cangshan No. 1 is a hotel with advanced concepts. The management model is a team of butlers who create a feeling of home for guests and think of everything in front of them. The environment is beautiful and beautiful, with swimming pools, white beaches, coconut trees... creating a different paradise. Every employee has a strong sense of priority and their service attitude is excellent, gentle and comfortable. Not only did he take the initiative to inquire, but he also introduced the characteristics and customs of the Bai people in a very thoughtful way. The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Each room has its own bathing pool, dry and wet are separated, and even the toilet is fully automatic. Very clean! Breakfast and afternoon tea are richly prepared and have local characteristics. There is also a heart-warming evening sweet soup every night. My family and I felt that choosing Cangshan No. 1 for this trip was a great value!

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at Hidden Mist (listed on Trip.com as Santorini National Tide Sea View Resort). If you are looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful lake views, outstanding hospitality, and easy access to the Dreamland Resort area, I would happily recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Location: The hotel is located within Dreamland Resort on the eastern side of Dali, approximately 20 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes from the railway station, and around an hour from Dali Ancient City. We stayed near the Ancient City first before moving here, which I would recommend for anyone wanting to explore both sides of Dali. The resort is large, beautifully maintained, and very walkable. Complimentary golf cart shuttles regularly transport guests around the resort, while taxis are easy to arrange from the main entrance. There are quite a few staircases throughout the property, so it may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility. Service: The service was exceptional and one of the biggest highlights of our stay. Before we even arrived, the hotel contacted us by email and created a dedicated WeChat group with staff from different departments so we could ask questions or request assistance at any time. Everything felt organised, personal, and effortless. From the moment we arrived, a golf cart was waiting to collect us from the resort entrance. Throughout our stay, the staff regularly checked in to ensure everything was going well and genuinely cared that we were comfortable. The handwritten welcome note, housekeeping notes after each room clean, and staff asking what time would be most convenient to service our room were thoughtful touches that made us feel truly looked after. Although our booking only included a complimentary airport or railway station pickup, the hotel kindly arranged an airport drop-off instead because we had arrived from another part of Dali. This was greatly appreciated. Room & Cleanliness: We booked a room with a private garden overlooking Erhai Lake, and it was absolutely worth it. Waking up to the peaceful lake view each morning quickly became one of our favourite parts of the stay. The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything still feels new and exceptionally clean. The large soaking bath, with bath milk replenished daily, was perfect after a day of exploring. The shower had excellent water pressure. As someone with very long hair, I found the shampoo and conditioner a little drying, so I would recommend bringing your own. The secure WiFi was reliable and fast enough for both my husband and me to work during our stay. Breakfast & Dining: Breakfast was excellent, with a choice between a Western breakfast and a local Yunnan set menu. We tried both, and every meal was fresh, well presented, and delicious. As we had an early flight on our final morning, the hotel prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, another thoughtful gesture that reflected the level of service throughout our stay. Our booking also included complimentary afternoon tea with cakes and fresh fruit. It would have been even better if guests could also choose a complimentary tea or coffee. The room includes quality tea, a premium kettle, and a mini fridge, although adding coffee would be a welcome touch, especially in Yunnan. Facilities & Surroundings: The hotel has a convenient power bank rental station in the lobby, and Dreamland Resort is full of beautiful cafés, viewpoints, and photo spots. Flomis Garden is less than a five-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient for visitors. Our booking also included a traditional tea ceremony experience, which unfortunately we did not have time to attend. I have higher requirements for accommodation and spend more time in hotels.
