Hotel opened ~12mo ago, entire building is new. Whatever growing pains it had, the Le Meridien Taichung has figured most of them out. This brand can be hit/miss depending on city, but the Le Meridien Taichung is a great property. Well-appointed rooms are huge (60 sq m+), even the walk-in shower is huge. Lots of electrical outlets/USB for charging devices. Wi-Fi access points work everywhere in the building. Great views of the Central/East Districts and Main Station, especially at night. Amazing price point for this level of hotel quality. Service is where Le Meridien Taichung shines. Exec Lounge team so helpful, special thanks to Angel, Lisa, Irin, Yang. Concierge helped us with check-in and restaurants (Billy, Wilber, Debbie). And Marriott app chat with Front Desk works great, responded within minutes. Parking in the underground garage (elevators run directly to room floors with your key) with in/out privileges is free for guests. Front Desk will add your license plate number, cameras at gates will read it. Oddly, the Marriott app shows daily fee TWD 2400 which is almost half the daily rate. (Obviously still ironing out some stuff.)

A city hotel with a children's playground and rich brunch. Staying in a superior triple room with no window or bathtub on weekdays in November 2023. The room is novel, stylish and clean. The lobby is spacious, the staff at the counter explained in detail, and their attitude was great, which is worthy of praise. The ice-warm water dispenser is in a small room next to the lobby on the first floor. Breakfast is Phoenix Food Hall brunch, a multi-national buffet buffet. It is served from 7 am to 1 noon. The meal time is two hours. The dishes are diverse and there are six kinds of fruits. Unfortunately, the quality of the fruits is not very good. The specialty is Starbucks Coffee and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. The parking lot is located in the basement of the hotel building from B2 to B5. The entrance and exit are on Yanagawa East Road. There are many parking spaces, but the parking lot is not dedicated. When the occupancy rate is high, it may be full and there will be no parking spaces. Tenants can park for free for 24 hours. There is a dedicated elevator in the parking lot directly to the hotel. hall.

Almost every time I go to Taichung to work, I am in this hotel. Every time I arrange high floors and non-smoking requirements, they have already known in advance, and every time they come, they are like going home. The hotel is 5 minutes away from Taichung Railway Station. The nearby convenience store and restaurant transportation are very convenient. The room space is not large and there is a lot of space. It will not be blocked. The bathroom 🛀🏻 is equipped with a bathtub, fully equipped, comfortable mattresses, and the air-conditioning temperature is suitable. Stayed here 2 nights. It is a nice, modern, clean hostel with air conditioning, a modest kitchen and great location next to the train station. You can hear street traffic in the rooms but it’s not excessive. The hostel was very quiet due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions but staff was very helpful, attentive and spoke good English. Bathrooms have plenty of toilets and showers and space for drying your hair or applying make up. Breakfast is plentiful and nicely prepared. Good option to start the day. Walk to the Sun Moon Lake bus stop is 5-8 minutes just north of the hostel (staff can point you in that direction too). Washer and dryer are also available to guests and about 50 NTD each. Cheap! Hostel also has a small grocery store with dried foods and a fridge to store things if needed. Towels are not included which is a little bit of a bummer but not a deal breaker. My only two items as an FYI: your keycard has to be used in the bed for the power outlet which is problematic when you need to charge something and be in the restroom. And, the machine used to clean and purify the air in the rooms leaves a bad weird smell. It can alleviate a bit but not much. If you’re overly sensitive this will be a problem. I would still recommend this hostel and would stay again.

The atmosphere in the lobby on the first floor is great, suitable for friends and family to gather together to chat and eat. The four-person room is large enough. Some of the equipment in the room has a history of use and has not been repaired. The cups have been broken and have not been replaced. The sound insulation is not very good.

Booked this hotel as it has indoor playground facility but only the big slide for the bigger toddler was interesting while the play area for the younger ones was placed at the laundry area which felt warm and dated. The rooms are not exactly soundproof as we can hear doors opening and shutting. Breakfast was pretty disappointing, other than for the fact that it has plain porridge which we manage to feed my babies. But the complimentary minibar was generous with coke and isotonic drink. Lobby staff were friendly and helpful though, while the breakfast chef/staff looked unhappy throughout our stay.

I have got my room upgraded (Thank you). Staying for 2 nights. Travel to other places like Taichung night market & Mitsukoshi shopping mall will need to take bus. It's worth it to go these places, just use google map. Good facilities: Hotel provide laundry machine and dryer, which is really useful to wash my clothes after few days travel from other cities. Hotel provide free coffee/hot chocolate drink, especially while waiting at lobby / do the laundry. Hotel provide also a good basic breakfast. Overall good experience and will stay again at this hotel if ever come to Taichung next time.

The staff were friendly and check-in experience was good. I left my luggage a day before my stay and they safe keep for me in their office. I booked a double room and room size was big enough and cosy. No bottles of drink water in room but can get warm/cold water from dispense at common area. Breakfast, don't expect to get many varieties, but enough to fill your stomach. Although it said bf starts at 7am, when I was there at that time, staff still preparing. Location is just a short walk to fourth credit union, also 10mins to train station.

Location: near the train station which was super convenient for us. was a short 5min walk away. Family mart right beside the hotel is a bonus too! Room: spacious and clean. our room had a bathtub! downside - very limited powerpoints available. must to bring travel adapter. Laundry: the free laundry was super helpful for our trip, even tho it's self service. laundry room is on the basement, which isn't accessible from the main lift and require climbing stairs. able to purchase laundry powder for 30TWD from the counter, which was convenient. laundry room has 2 washers and 2 dryers, took us about 1.5h-2h to complete the washing and drying cycles together.

Stay in the business executive room top floor. What's Good: 1. This is one of the most interesting hotel I stayed in. I like the balcony, can suntan. the layout and design of the room is fabulous. In the morning, when sun shines in, the room is so beautiful. 2. I also like that the room has multiple international plugs, guest don't need to bring international plugs. Hotels all over should adopt this idea. 3. The staff at the counter service very good. Very helpful ladies. Areas for improvement: 1. The area near cabinet should install a light, at night I want to retrieve my clothes, I cant even see clearly. 2. I like that the toilet bowl has bidet. Too bad its not working. Please repair! Not very nice to rent our an unserviceable room. It's like when you paid $5 for an apple, the vendor gives you a partially rotten apple and expect you to accept it without discount. As a customer, what impression will you have of the vendor? 3. Roof top under repair. Early morning, I was woken up by heavy drilling and hammering. The hotel should be aware there is a guest staying right below. I have to call to ask them to stop. I understand repair needs to be done. Can arrange repairs on days when the 7th floor room is unoccupied? 4. I don't know if the room is infested with rats or ******* or if someone is staying above the 7th floor unit. In the middle of the night, 2-3am, heavy footsteps can be heard, you can hear the floor creek with each steps as if going to collapse! Thank you!
