We have stayed with my husband for one night. The room is really basic, lacking any nice touch and amenities, there is actually nothing there. The paper cups in the bathroom , plastic flower, hairdryer is attached to the wall like in the 90s. More cons: the room isolation is really bad, you can hear someone is going to the toilet next to you :)) For the advantages: Good bed with the perfect mattress Location, it’s 5 min to the beach Very clean

This 4* hotel is situated between Deauville and Trouville adjacent to the Deauville marina , which at this time of year was full of yachts etc. The room was a privilege room which meant we enjoyed certain extras. The room itself was of a reasonable size and being a wheelchair user quite accessible in terms of its facilities although you would need to be able to transfer from wheelchair to shower chair which was a bit of a squeeze. The room also had a south east facing balcony and we enjoyed our morning breakfast sitting out and watching the world go by , and also the lovely view of the marina. The room was very well decorated to a high standard and also provided was a small fridge which came in handy on the warmer days. Our room was kept clean and serviced to an exceptionally high standard and the bed was very comfortable resulting in some very goodnights sleep. We did not eat at the hotel as we do not have a substantial breakfast although it's fair to say the dinig room was very popular every morning. In the evenings there is such an overwhelming choice of eateries it was difficult to know where to start. All in all a pleasant stay, the staff were friendly although I have to say the entrance has a step if you have a wheelchair ,however if required a ramp is available. As we did not require a ramp being able to negotiate the step (quite small) we were taken aback by the reluctance of some of the staff to assist in holding the door open- this required my wife to enter obtain the wooden chock to open and keep the door open . One or two individuals did however assist and this would not in itself put us off returning which we hope to do next year. As they say manners maketh man. All in all a lovely staff in an elegant comfortable room centrally located for both Deauville and Trouville. A very enjoyable stay.

I am a great habit of this hotel, which I often rent for visiting family in Villers. I think everything is convenient, despite the price a little overpriced from the range, but it is a problem that is generally widespread in France, a country that does not make any effort on the comfort of the property. The staff is very comfortable on each of my requests, comfortable breakfast and satisfactory choices to my taste. The only recurrent problem of this establishment is that noise insonorization between rooms is extremely bad, and there are often exposed to quite wild noises, between morning cleaning and not always very discrete customers. This is very bad, because the rest is top in this hotel, but I would like to see that this problem is not the simplest to solve. However, to justify the price of the night, renovations in this sense would not be superfluous.

Bonjour, je tenais à écrire cet avis car je veux que les gens soient informés des pratiques de cet hôtel ! Nous avons réservé il y a maintenant presque 3 mois deux chambres pour un séjour d´un week-end en famille ( famille qui vient des quatres coins de la France ) afin de se retrouver comme nous le faisons tout les an. Réservations validés le 11/02/2024. Aujourd’hui le 8 avril 2024 l’hôtel m’appel et me demande si j’accepte d’annuler mes deux chambres car ils ont une demande de privatisation de l’hôtel, je lui explique que non car nous avons déjà tout organisé et que ce n’est pas possible les congés sont posés et tout ce qui va avec. Il me dit d’accord très bien aucun problème et raccroche. Une demie heure plus tard je reçois deux mails me disant que l’hôtel a annulé nos deux réservations ! Furieux j’appel immédiatement l’hôtel, je tombe sur le même monsieur qui a l’air d’en avoir strictement rien à faire et propose de changer de date, j’explique encore que ce n’est pas possible et que ce n’est pas car une privatisation rapporte plus d’argent que deux chambres qu’ils doivent annuler nos chambres sans notre accord ! Pour info les deux chambres pour deux jours étaient quand même à 630€ ! Je demande à parler au directeur, biensur il n’est pas la, il fallait s’en douter ! Vraiment pas courageux jusqu’au bout ! J’appel booking car j’ai réservé via leur service et la personne au téléphone me dit que c’est anormal et que l’hôtel n’a pas le droit de faire ça et qu’une enquête va être mené. À deux semaines de la date, retrouver un hébergement pour plusieurs personnes c’est compliqués et les chambres ont pris presque toutes 200€ de plus ! Fuyez cet établissement qui priorise la rentrée d’argent que la satisfaction client ! Je trouve ça inadmissible d’appeler pour demander d’annuler, que je réponde non et que derrière mon dos, ils annulent sans même me rappeler ! Car c’est moi qui ai bien rappelé l’hôtel pour comprendre ! J’espère que mon avis sera utile et sérieusement passé votre chemin, cet établissement est pas du tout sérieux !

We first stayed at the Hotel Mercure in Trouville-Sur-Mer as part of a package deal through Brittany Ferries in August 2022, and our experience was so positive that we decided to return for 4 nights arriving Monday 7th August 2023, again through a Brittany Ferries package: We were not disappointed with our decision to return! As before, the hotel was clean, and our room was cleaned daily, and the location of the hotel is superb, just 2-5 minutes walk to the beach, and within minutes (or seconds!) walk of lots of local restaurants. A walk (or ferry) to Deauville, and the beach/boardwalk there is definitely recommended, but please see my previous review in August 2022 for more information on location, and on the hotel itself. However, the main thing which made us feel so happy to return was the staff at the hotel. All of the staff we encountered at Reception were both friendly and helpful. All spoke excellent English, although occasionally my wife would ask if she could practice her French, which was always agreed to, and then embarked on a conversation in French about various things, including our usual need for milk each day for our tea. (Du lait, s’il vous plaît, pour le thé. Nous sommes Anglais!). Specific thanks this year go to Lindsay for her help and patience, although, as stated above, all Reception staff are thanked! We again emphasise to the reader the advantage of booking through Brittany Ferries as this yields a very good saving compared to booking both the ferry and the hotel independently. Overall, again, a very enjoyable stay, and we hope to come back soon! Merci beaucoup!!

Very satisfied with the newly opened hotel. Next to the sea, if you are driving by yourself, there are parking lots at the hotel and next to it. Because I went there in winter, there are not many tourists, the experience is very good, but if it is summer, it is estimated that there will be a lot of people. The hotel breakfast is on the 5th floor and the quality is very good. There are also many restaurants in the surrounding area. After all, it is winter and few are open, but if there is a chance, I will stay again.
