I have nothing but good to say, we have stayed here a few times but we just really loved it this time. There was a wedding on in the hotel and they called me to let me know. I am 8 months pregnant and they told me they would make sure to put myself and my partner and little girl into a quite room. They then called again to say they would upgrade up free of charge. What a beautiful room..wow so bright, spacious, full of windows and a balcony over looking the marina. We had lunch in the bar huge portions. So yum. We went swimming, hot showers, lovely warm pool. We had dinner in the bar and the server was next to none I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he made my little girl a "cocktail" and went all out. So kind. Food again so lovely, well priced and music also while sitting enjoying a view of the marina. I've never wanted to stay anywhere for another night as much. We really loved it. Highly recommended Thanks for a lovely stay.

I just wanted to say thank you to Áine, Muireann, Dave and the rest of the team at the Tower Hotel, Waterford for an excellently run event yesterday. Everything we discussed was catered for and even minor changes on the day were accommodated seamlessly and efficiently. The level of service was extremely professional and everyone I spoke with was so pleasant and friendly. We look forward to working with you again in the near future and again thanks very much ! When my husband and I arrived at this stunning hotel this morning as weary bedraggled sailors, we were warmly welcomed in by Jake and Carol. We had what we can only describe as the very best of Irish hospitality and this feels like a huge warm enveloping hug. If you are ever in need of a beautiful place to stay in glorious Waterford then this I can only say is the place to be. Thank you so much and our very best wishes. Or as we say here in Wales diolch ó galin, meaning thank you from the heart. Xxxx Carol and Tim xx 🩷

My son and I visited The Tower Hotel as my son had an Interview there. We were early and whilst I was waiting I asked the receptionist Amanda where could i go to get a coffee, the bar was not open yet so she organised the porter to get me a Cappuccino. He also brought my son a glass of water on request. When my son finished his Interview, with excitement we left the hotel and the drive home was all chat about how he got on in his interview. A few hours later I recalled that I had not paid for the coffee and rang the hotel (very embarrassed). Amanda said "the coffee was on her" and to enjoy my day! It is not often that I come across excellent customer care so I am writing this review to let everyone know of my positive experience and to thank Amanda of her lovely gesture, it was much appreciated.

Stayed in The Tower Hotel last month and we were so disappointed. Have stayed in this hotel over the past few years, not regularly, but if we were in the area. We had booked a deluxe double but the room was far from deluxe. The room was very small and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The window was opaque so we weren't even sure where we were ! On the plus side the breakfast was good and the breakfast staff saved the day . I doubt we will stay again.

The hotel has an ideal central location right beside the Viking Triangle, and situated on the quayside giving wonderful views over the river from its two restaurants and some bedrooms. This is a large hotel but the public spaces can adequately accommodate big numbers without feeling full. We stayed over a bank holiday weekend and the hotel was busy on the Sunday, but less so during the first part of the week. There are two restaurants both with views over the quayside and river. Pier 37 on the ground floor offers a relaxed a**osphere where you can sit with a drink or coffee, and enjoy a very good selection from the bar menu. On our 3 night stay we ate here twice. For a slightly more formal meal you can go upstairs from Pier 37 to Hobson's restaurant where the helpings are very generous and beautifully presented. Breakfasts are also served here. Our room was front facing and, although there was an increase in traffic noise during the day, was quite quiet at night. The room was a very good size with a large en suite and all the trappings. Altogether we were very happy with the hotel for our short stay and would recommend it to others, especially for its central location. I would warn potential customers that the car park to the rear is small and can fill up quickly. Also to be careful at booking to ensure that breakfast is included in the offer, something which I had overlooked.

We’ve spent many a good weekend at the Tower Hotel over the years but we stayed here for one night after staying 2 nights at another hotel in May. Our check is was brilliant, we were early coming from the other hotel but they got us a room ready really quickly. The room was small but had everything that you needed and was comfortable. Instead of a walk in shower we had a bath that you’d to climb into for a shower. If you are of a certain age it could be awkward and cumbersome. There was mastic missing around the bath and the corner wall was missing grout and mastic also. The door was missing the sealer also. Because water gets in behind the tiles and down the back of the bath it’s a breeding ground for Silverfish bugs. In fact there was one crawling around the bedroom worktop. We booked in for a meal in the restaurant. We’d a lovely seat beside the window with great views. The staff were nice but all very young with not a lot of experience which we found unusual for the hotel. The meal was ok but I ordered a steak and it wasn’t cooked great. It’s was tough and chewy. Nice vegetables and desert. The bar area was pretty full but we got a seat and asked a girl serving for a drink to which she replied, we only collect glasses we don’t serve. The bar was packed and it was hard getting served. Breakfast nest morning was nice and checkout was fine. Maybe it was the long weekend and the staff were tired but I definitely found a difference in the hotel from other visits which is a shame.

This hotel is in a brilliant location in the Viking Triangle of Waterford. Within a couple of minutes walk were House of Waterford (worth doing the factory tour), Bishops Palace, Medieval Museum and Reginald's Tower just across the road. Staff were really helpful, pointing out that for hotel guests, the tour of House of Waterford factory tour is two for the price of one. Room was clean and comfortable with a great view of Reginald's Tower and the waterfront. The breakfast buffet was excellent. It was quite chaotic getting into the car park, with cars double parked and not much room for manoeuvre, although it had improved by later in the day, Also, if approaching the hotel from The Mall, you need to turn right into Lombard Street, at the traffic lights, to get to the car park, as it is not possible to turn right into Adelphi Quay.
