"I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend staying here. The hotel is right next to the entrance of the monastery and most rooms have a nice view of the lively main street and the mountains behind. The rooms also have built-in heating so the room is not cold during the colder months. The bed is very comfortable. Staff doesn’t always speak English but they are very friendly. The hotel is a little bit outdated, but I think it is one of the best places to stay in Xiahe because of the location and it offers everything you need."
"I stay a few nights in a dorm and I was the only guest. The dorm and the toilets were well cleaned. The heating system worked well as well as the hot shower. There was a kettle in the dorm. The WiFi was strong. The hotel is in a short walking distance from the monastery, restyrants and shops. The staff was friendly and helpful."
"The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and has a wonderful ambiance. The proprietress has planted so many beautiful flowers, which are truly stunning. There's also a lovely terrace on the third floor, and the air up there is wonderfully fresh. Both the owner and his wife are incredibly warm and hospitable. For the price, it offers excellent value for money. We stayed for three days this time, and we'll absolutely choose to stay here again on our next visit!"
"The room has Tibetan-style wooden walls. The price is quite reasonable. In order to go to Labrang Monastery, I found many triple rooms. Some hotels with triple rooms nearby have public bathrooms. The heating in the room is very good. It is very warm to stay in winter. I forgot to take pictures of the hotel. The location is also easy to find"
"Our stay here was lovely, with kind staff. We are Australian and our check-in was easy. However, please note that the name of the hotel name is “Samphel Dhondup Hotel”, and it is located near the southern corner of 腾志路, Tengzhi Road, near the Monastery Ticket Centre and the river. This was confusing upon arrival.
The heated floors were extremely hot, and not able to be turned off. Our room was a sauna, despite being -4°c outside (we had our window open the whole time). Hopefully this can be fixed. Breakfast was small but we were here during the offseason."
"We drove to Gannan and stayed here on the first night. The environment was nice. We went there late, and the boss left someone there to wait for us. I had a headache and nausea early the next morning, and my blood oxygen was only 80. I saw online that it might be altitude sickness. I wanted to ask the boss's wife for two bottles of oxygen to see if it could relieve it. Unexpectedly, the boss's wife was very considerate. While comforting us, she arranged for the staff to take us to the hospital for examination. It was very heartwarming when we were away from home. Thank you to the boss's wife and the ******* brother who took us to the hospital."
"The restaurant on the second floor or the third floor is under renovation. There are workers transporting materials in and out of the hotel, so it is a bit dirty. The breakfast room is on the first floor. It is very simple. The beef noodles have not eaten a piece of beef for two days... The front desk staff in and out of the lobby have been chasing dramas on the mobile phone."
"The staff and surroundings were excellent. The hotel itself is a mixed bag: a beautiful lobby but the room itself was disappointing: quite dirty, with a desperate need of a renovation. We also received a very dirty towel. The curtains and bed sheets had holes in them."
"The room was nice and clean, and it was very close to Labrang Monastery. What was worth praising was that the room was too warm. Hahaha, I didn't even dare to cover myself with a quilt. It was snowing heavily outside, and I didn't wear any clothes in the room. I found the feeling of my hometown in Northeast China."
MM28997****Facilities: A newly opened hotel in 2024, with very new facilities and a small refrigerator. There is floor heating, the toilet is a smart toilet, the room is relatively large, the bathroom and bathroom are separated, and the bathroom space is very large. The interior decoration paintings are tastefully chosen.
Hygiene: Very clean, bedding, towels and bath towels are very new
Service: I came back to the front desk in the evening and asked for dental floss. The front desk helped get it and also brought a small yogurt.
The overall stay experience is relatively good. It is quite comfortable to stay in a newly opened hotel. One room was upgraded to an executive standard room.
The only thing is that the front desk is on the second floor. You need to go up the stairs to the second floor. There are not many rooms. It is recommended to book an executive standard room. The room is large and comfortable.
It is very close to Labrang Monastery, a 3-minute walk.
GGuest UserI traveled by car for a week and stayed in seven different hotels and B&Bs. This is the only B&B I was satisfied with. When I arrived at the door, the owner arranged a little sister and a handsome boy to pick me up. They also helped me take the luggage to the room. It was already past ten o'clock in the evening. I didn't eat on the way, so they cooked beef dumplings for me. They were super delicious. The room was very clean and the style design was very beautiful. There was a beautiful barley field at the door. I missed the breakfast time because I got up too late, so they specially left breakfast for me. When I left, they also helped me take the luggage and put it in the car. It was a pity that I was in a hurry, otherwise I would stay for a few more days. I will stay here again next time if I have the chance. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it👍🏻#hygiene
GGuest UserIt's in a small town, close to Xiahe Labrang Monastery and Sangke Grassland. The surrounding scenery is nice, the girl at the front desk is very friendly, and there's a man who I don't know if he's the boss or something, but he's also quite friendly. The only downside is that it gets quite noisy around 6 in the morning, and I don't know if it's the guests or the waiter... I forgot to take pictures. Overall, it's okay.
KKatja’sThis hotel is in a very good spot, opposite the river, away from the traffic and tourist groups. The restaurant offers great food and drinks. The personal is very friendly and helpful and the room looked very nice, ******* style , and the mattress was comfortable . Can recommend this place without hesitation.
SShangwuchudaoThe location is on the main street, the location is easy to find, the room is large and clean, there is an underground parking lot, parking is convenient, the front desk lady is very enthusiastic, the yak hot pot recommended to us is very good, delicious, large quantity and very affordable, I will stay here again if I have the chance in the future😊
GGuest UserThis hotel brought me a very satisfactory stay experience. The hotel is comfortably decorated, reasonably laid out and quite stylish. The front desk guidance service is in place, and the accommodation environment is quiet at night. The hotel is in a very advantageous location, and Labrang Monastery can be reached in a few minutes. The spacious lobby, elegant environment, thoughtful front desk service, fast check-in, complete facilities in the room, comfortable beds, and free late check-out service are also provided. It's really good👍👍👍
GGuest UserThe room size is not very large, the hotel is on the side of the road, but the room facilities are complete, the parking lot downstairs is also very convenient, less than ten minutes walk from Labrang Temple, solve the trouble of driving to Labrang Temple
DDaochuzouzoukankanLocated in the bustling area of Xiahe County, it is a top-ranked hotel. The hygiene is average. It is not cold at night. It should be heated. The hotel provides unified food. But the nose is very dry. The breakfast is average. If you are not used to it, you can go out to eat. The waiters are very kind and friendly. There is a small supermarket near the hotel. Xiahe County is not big, with 2 main roads.
