"Great place to stay and enjoy Kaohsiung! It was my first time visiting the city and I was very happy with the location of the hotel. The staff is very friendly and supportive, the room was stunning (especially the view on the mountains from the 11th floor) and there are a lot of great eateries around (especially the breakfast places near the little park behind the hotel)."

"The biggest highlight of our Taiwan trip, hands down. The Grand Hotel is truly one of the best hotels in Greater China. As soon as we got out of the taxi, someone was there to greet us and help with our luggage, allowing us to go straight to check-in. I booked a room in the side wing. After taking the shuttle bus to the side wing, the only minor drawback was having to walk up a few steps, but it wasn't a big issue. From the room, you could see Songshan Airport and the Taipei city skyline. If you went up to the public areas on higher floors, you could catch the Taipei sunset. The public areas were outstanding. Taking photos late at night, there was hardly anyone around. Walking through the grand and majestic lobby felt like an coronation. Room size was also quite generous, and the hygiene was impeccable. The linens were spotlessly clean. The service was very comprehensive and attentive, though perhaps lacking a bit of warmth. The biggest issue, however, was transportation. For budget travelers, relying on the MRT is key, and getting from The Grand Hotel to the MRT station required waiting for a shuttle bus. However, there were also taxis available right outside the hotel, and Taipei's taxi fares are quite reasonable, so it was acceptable overall. All in all, an excellent experience."

"Good value for money. The place was super clean, and the facilities were very well maintained. The staff was also very accommodating. The buffet breakfast was a huge plus. Highly recommended. We will stay here again next time."

"My main purpose for this stay was to visit the National Palace Museum to see the Dragon Sutra exhibition, and the hotel's location was quite convenient. The room was generally clean and tidy, and the space was more comfortable than I expected. The bed was also good to sleep in. I was quite satisfied with the hygiene, environment, service, and facilities. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were both smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever I had questions. The surrounding transportation is convenient, making it easy to get to Taipei city center, the National Palace Museum, and the airport. This is very practical for travelers who need to take a car or have luggage. Overall, the accommodation experience exceeded my expectations, offering good value for money, and it was quiet for a good night's rest. If I need to transfer, stay briefly in Taoyuan, or plan another trip to the Taipei National Palace Museum in the future, I would definitely consider staying here again."

"the location is very good as just opposite ximending and outside exit 4 of mrt so it’s near but like quiet also but the hallways carpet is abit dirty with stains but room is quite clean. the service is normal but the aircon is sometime not cold"

"The room was just right and comfortable! The walls are a bit thin, but that's pretty typical for a hotel. Check-in and check-out were easy. They also offered Japanese language support. However, access from the RED subway line was a bit inconvenient. Since there were no hotel photos, I included a picture of the river near the hotel instead."

"This was a pleasant stay. We were traveling with a child, and I had specifically requested a high floor in my Ctrip booking notes. To my surprise, the hotel really paid attention to it! The hotel has 30 floors in total, and they put us on the 29th floor, which was absolutely perfect with fantastic views. **Cleanliness:** The room had a separate wet and dry area, and the toilet was smart and very clean. **Transportation:** The hotel is located right above Wanhua Railway Station. You just turn a corner from the ticketing hall of Wanhua Station and you're there. It's also only a 5-minute walk to Longshan Temple MRT Station. **Local Food:** Around Longshan Temple MRT Station, there's an Oyster Vermicelli shop (diagonally opposite the 50 Lan milk tea shop) that you absolutely *must* try. The flavor is great and it's generously portioned. I dare say you won't find a better oyster vermicelli in all of Taiwan. Remember, next to the oyster vermicelli shop, there's a place selling grilled sausages – grab one of those too. Vermicelli + grilled sausage = a perfect combination! There's also a night market in Longshan Temple in the evenings."

"The staff were all very polite, and housekeeping and amenity replenishment were very prompt. All the basic facilities were there, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options. The location is excellent, very close to the MRT station, and there are many restaurants and convenience stores right downstairs. The environment is really good."

"Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Our room was on the 30th floor and had a lovely view. I especially liked the walk-in wardrobe, and having a bathtub was really nice and relaxing. The service was excellent as well. When I was using the self check-in machine, a member of the front desk team immediately came over and offered to help, which I really appreciated. There was also an illy coffee machine in the room, which we enjoyed using for our morning coffee. The only downside was the soundproofing. We could hear loud music from the neighbouring room, as well as the sound of their curtains being opened and closed, so this is one area that could definitely be improved. We didn’t get a chance to use the hotel facilities this time, but I’d love to check out the gym and swimming pool on our next stay."

"Internet did not work in room-staff said because it was too busy but it did work in the lobby. Room paint badly peeling behind curtain on wall under window from window condensation, smelt a little of damp. Staff very helpful and friendly; bedding clean, bathroom clean.  Overall OK, but overpriced, poor value for money. "
