Anonymous UserThis is my second stay at this beachfront hotel, and the experience is still absolutely fantastic! 👍 It's so close to the coast, you feel like you can almost reach out and touch the waves 🌊.
In the morning, I love watching the sunrise from bed, as the morning sun slowly rises over the sea, filling the room with a soft, incredibly healing light ✨.
Stepping out of the hotel, it's just a one-minute walk to the beach. You can set up tents for free there ⛺, and I really enjoy the feeling of diving into the sea and embracing the waves – it's a wonderful way to clear your mind. (Oh, and the hotel provides free swimming rings 😉).
Finally, I really want to mention that the owner is still as warm and attentive as ever. Both at check-in and check-out, they thoughtfully offer homegrown fruits 🍉. These small, warm gestures are hidden in every little detail 💛.
Here, you can shake off the weariness of the world and let the sea breeze soothe your mind and soul~ ❤️

AishuijuedehulimomoThe environment is beautiful, a true feast for the eyes and a perfect place to relax. It's wonderful for some alone time. There's a pool on the third floor where you can swim while enjoying the lush green mountains and trees, as well as the stars in the sky. Outside the courtyard, you can barbecue and fish. Downstairs, there's a mahjong room and a cozy reading nook. I stayed for two days and didn't encounter any mosquitoes. The room was clean, and the bathroom had a wet/dry separation. Looking out the window at the vibrant green trees instantly lifted my mood. You can even see the sky through the roof! There's a bar area where you can enjoy afternoon tea. The noodles made by the owner were delicious, and the afternoon tea was great too. The cleaning lady was very friendly; she even offered to take me on her e-bike to explore the nearby scenic spots if I visit again. When I checked in, it was raining, and the owner drove me to the station. My first impression of Chengde was fantastic, and I'm already looking forward to my next relaxing trip here.

I expected the special offer room to be run-down, but it far exceeded my expectations. While the facilities are a bit dated, the hygiene was exceptionally good. The sheets and duvet covers were clean and odorless. The hotel opens right onto the beach, making it perfect for morning and evening strolls along the boardwalk.

Environment: Super nice! I booked in advance and got a sea-view room. I could watch the sunrise and sunset perfectly in the morning and evening.
Service: Compared to other places, the service is absolutely fantastic! The front desk lady was very helpful. After checking in, you can add her on WeChat, and if you need anything, just say the word and it'll be delivered quickly. I highly recommend everyone to come here!

I booked a suite, and upon arrival, it was upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment. The space was huge, with a sea view and a large terrace. It was quite clean. You could tell the decor was a bit dated and showed its age. Hot water was provided by a water heater, so for three people showering, you had to be quick. If there are more people, I'd suggest booking separate rooms, as there wouldn't be enough hot water.
The hotel is very close to the beach, and there's a wash-off area at the entrance to rinse off sand, which is very convenient. They provide some sand toys like buckets, shovels, and clamming tools, on a first-come, first-served basis. There's also an entertainment castle, which isn't very large and tends to have more older kids, so it's not ideal for toddlers under 3.
The hotel's restaurant can prepare children's meals without seasoning. Breakfast was also abundant. The local seafood was quite fresh, and steamed dishes were common.
Service: Free drinking water is provided. When I called the front desk for something, it was delivered very quickly.

PauOHanlonI believe my friends and I spent Christmas eve here. Being an exchange student from England, far from home, and my friends and classmates from Latvia and Cambodia, we needed somewhere homely and comfortable to stay. This place was exactly what we needed.
We stayed here for one night in the middle of winter as part of our road trip from Beijing to Wutaishan, following the sections of the Great Wall. We turned up after dark, we were welcomed with a big smile and slept with ease after the long drive.
In the morning I woke up early, found a spot in the courtyard garden and opened my Christmass cards. The owners dog immediately rolled over to be petted and for the next hour I had good company, drank tea and enjoyed the peace.
The owners awoke to find me outside, probably thought I was a ****** and so, immediately lit their fire in the garden. They saw me drinking tea so got the iron kettle boiling over the heat of the flames. My mates awoke to this and joined me and the boss by the fire. The outside temperature was negative, but we were warm, happy and ready for the day ahead - exploring Baishishan. The boss also showed us his great tea collection.
I want to thank the owners for a short but great stay and I highly recommend. I would like to come back in spring to see their courtyard in full bloom.

I cannot recommend this farmhouse enough! If you are visiting the Jinshanling Great Wall, staying here is an absolute must. The location is perfect, featuring a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can sit and look directly at the Great Wall in total peace. The room itself was modern, and clean, with a great AC, but set right in the middle of a charming, authentic farm.
But the absolute highlight of my stay was the host family. The hospitality is unmatched. The Owner Lady of the house cooked some of the most delicious, massive, and authentic meals I’ve had in China, and she went completely out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed. The food was also unbelievably affordable.
The Owner truly went above and beyond for me. When I was struggling to find a reasonably priced car back to Beijing, he spent hours late at night helping me on WeChat, making sure I wasn't overcharged by local drivers. He
eventually helped me find a cheap, highly scenic train route back to the city and personally drove me to the local station.
They treated a solo foreign traveler like absolute family. If you want a genuine, heartwarming, and frictionless experience at the Great Wall, book this place. 太好吃了 and 谢谢 to the amazing hosts!”

Guest UserIs everyone flocking to Beidaihe to escape the summer heat? It was scorching! At 10:30 AM, it was already 36 degrees Celsius outside, and the tide was out, so we couldn't even go crabbing. It's hard to book a last-minute hotel in a crowded Beidaihe. I saw reviews mentioning old facilities but had no choice but to book it. Honestly, with that expectation, it wasn't too bad. After all, the hotel is 20 years old, so maintaining it like this isn't easy.
Avoid Building No. 3. The elevator constantly breaks down, which is terrifying. It was under repair when we arrived, so we had to climb the stairs, and it broke again the next day. When I reported it to the front desk, they seemed completely unconcerned, as if they were used to it. From 6 AM to 8:30 AM, there was a vibrating noise throughout the building. I thought it was a construction site, but when I asked the front desk, they said it was the kitchen machines running for breakfast. All I can do is commend their 'excellence' – I'm out of words.
The hotel breakfast costs 38 yuan per person. If your room rate includes breakfast, you'll eat it and be speechless. For those who didn't book with breakfast, don't waste your money. It's even worse than a farmhouse breakfast – there's nothing, not even fried rice or noodles. I heard it's not even run by the hotel but by a partner. I saw customers arguing because the breakfast vouchers given by the hotel weren't enough, and they were counting heads, which didn't match up. These are all avoidable issues.
The staff don't wear name tags, so I don't know anyone's name. If I wanted to praise someone, I wouldn't know who to mention. Overall, some service was decent. However, the security was lacking; there was no one directing parking, and no designated spots. Everyone just parked wherever they could find space. I can understand, though; it's tough for anyone in nearly 40-degree heat under the blazing sun. If there are other hotels you can book, go elsewhere. The only selling point is the small, unkempt patch of beach and rocks downstairs; there's really nothing else.

We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section.
This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport).
The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

MirandawhlThis hotel deserves a five-star rating for its front desk service, which was far superior to the treatment I received at the Yage Huanju Hotel in Beidaihe. The front desk staff were enthusiastic, thoughtful, and anticipated all our needs. Although the parking lot is small, the attendants proactively helped us park the car. The restaurant staff were patient and provided timely service. All the hotel staff made us feel well taken care of and right at home. The only drawbacks were that the room was a bit small, and the ceiling height was low, which felt a little cramped. The outer pane of the double-glazed window was quite dirty, likely due to the difficulty of cleaning it.
