The host is very accommodating and helpful. We were greeted with tea and fruits upon arrival. They also helped to carry our luggage from didi pickup point to the house. The stay was comfortable. The heater functioned properly. The room was big and as advertised. Theres plenty of space to eat and chill, and store your luggage inside the room. Very clean and the host will top up the amenities if needed. The inn is very close to the ancient town, just need a bit walk downstairs and you'll reach the small river. Theres also convenience store when you go down the road. We booked our jade dragon snow mountain trip with the host. The price is slightly on the higher end, but it was a last minute decision so its alright. They can also help you plan your itinerary for your stay. We went to alot of great place so Lijiang is very enjoyable~ Overall its a recommended place to stay. However, in my opinion the inn location is not suitable for elderly people because theres a lot of stairs.

Honglinge Inn is a cozy and clean place located right inside Dali Ancient Town. The location is very convenient for exploring nearby shops and attractions. The room was comfortable, and the host was friendly and helpful. A good choice for travelers looking for a simple and pleasant stay.

The place is bright, nice and warm in winter.Full facilities are well equipped like floor heating, heater in the shower, electronic toilet. The oxygen purifier is easy to use and well alleviate me from high altitude sickness. Especially staff are great in hospitality, as I was well welcomed by the manager who provided me with welcome drink and snacks.Kitchen staff with full hospitality is so friendly to invite me to her simple dinner, and I felt it was like home. I love this place as it was warm at heart and also physically warm in the room.

The hotel is really well situated, close to the Ancient Town. From the Dali's Railway Station, you can take the bus 8 (~1h & ¥3). Electric scooters were available for rental (¥60 a day for one person) which makes it very convenient to visit Dali and access the Three Pagodas. You can also leave your baggage after check-out. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

We made a special detour from Qujing to Luoping to visit the Jiulong Waterfalls. We booked the Jinhua Yuhu Plaza Hotel through Ctrip. The hotel seems to be located in a newly developed town, about five or six kilometers from the old town. The hotel has a unique design and good facilities. However, after checking in at the front desk, you have to take an elevator to the second floor, cross a connecting corridor, and then take another elevator to your room, which can be a bit inconvenient if you have luggage. Parking is conveniently located in the hotel's main square. The hotel rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is good. If you have your own car, this is a good option for visiting Luoping. There are also restaurants nearby. We went to a well-established restaurant in the old town, about six kilometers away, and the food was delicious.

The views are top-notch; if you're not obsessed with seeing the sunrise from a specific spot, watching it from here is more than enough. The room is spacious, quiet, and features floor-to-ceiling windows with an Instagrammable vibe. The hotel is set back a bit from the main road, and the parking lot is up on the mountain. There's a buggy service for transfers, so it's important to contact the hotel in advance. Dining options nearby are limited, so you're pretty much restricted to the hotel. We ordered a chicken, but it barely tasted like chicken, which was a shame.

Overall, the hotel offered a great experience. For those nitpickers complaining about outdated facilities, it's a 10-year-old hotel that's been maintained exceptionally well. If you want new, go stay in a formaldehyde-ridden room! The lobby is quite unique and grand. Check-in was smooth with a butler who made communication and problem-solving easy. I forgot to close the screen window when I went out, worried about bugs, and it was sorted instantly via WeChat. The room size is ample, and the balcony view is nice. The bedding is good, and the pillows are comfortable. They even provide bed rails for those with kids. Beyond that, it's a standard, excellent star-rated hotel. There's a courtyard in front of the lobby for relaxing. My wife wanted to try local specialties like Xidoufen and Barener Si, so we skipped breakfast, thus no comment on that. This is also one of only two Tesla Supercharging stations built at hotels in Dali (the other being Junfa Pullman). Tesla isn't stupid, they choose their locations wisely. The location is good, at the foot of a hillside, very quiet. It's very close to the three cableways for Cangshan. For exploring the western route (Dali Ancient City, Xizhou Ancient Town, Hai She Park), this is the best place to stay.

We loved everything about our stay here! Worth mentioning for: - they offer pickup and drop off from the train station; they even checked our arrival time earlier - the service is warm and hospitable — the owners didn’t even let us carry our own bags - as soon as we got there, the owners explained everything to us (they have washing machine/dryer, they even let us know where the mineral waters are in case what’s in the room is not enough, and they saw us wearing not super thick jackets so they mentioned they have extra puffers downstairs) and even offered to check in case we need to check about our travel plan - the owners are very responsive via wechat - the room is SPACIOUS; the heated floor makes it so much better - most importantly, they have smart toilet (trust me, you will need the warm seat and hot water in Shangrila 🤣) - the location is also superb, right in the middle of the ancient city. It’s like 5 minutes away from Guishan Park and 20 minutes away from Napa Lake (or Heidou Cafe) - there are halal eateries nearby Thing(s) to consider but not a dealbreaker for us: - there are stairs to get to the room, so might not be suitable if you’re traveling with elderly or have knee problems (but they’re normal stairs, not steep stairs) It was such a great experience for us 💓

The room was spotless and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The hotel environment was elegant, with a pleasant aroma in the hallways. The room cleaning was thorough. The staff were always available, friendly, and provided an excellent experience! Fantastic value for money! The room was spacious and bright, with plenty of hot water and effective heating from the air conditioner. It's very close to the scenic spot, making it super convenient after a day of exploring. The check-in experience was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom were a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely choose this place for my next trip!

Our room was on the top floor, featuring an openable skylight that provided fantastic views. I arrived in the afternoon with some work to catch up on, and the bedside tea table was absolutely perfect for working while enjoying the scenery – a really nice touch! While the skylight's strong UV rays meant it was best kept closed during the day, I imagine opening it at night for stargazing would be amazing. Unfortunately, it rained during my stay, so I just enjoyed watching the rain through it, which was actually quite pleasant. The ancient town is just about a 5-minute walk away, right down the stairs. Overall, I was very satisfied. The room was clean, free of any odors, and the smart toilet was a convenient bonus.
