This B&B positions itself as a boutique hotel, not just a regular guesthouse. Many guests here are international tourists and discerning travelers who appreciate quality. However, because it's so close to the scenic area, it's located in a restricted zone. ⚠️ You MUST use Didi (ride-hailing app) to get directly to the B&B's doorstep. Plus, the hotel offers a 7-seater shuttle service, so transportation is a breeze for families. Manxin was the third boutique hotel I chose for my trip to Hunan. It's located in a village nestled in the mountains. The owner leased nearly a hundred acres of land to create the idyllic farm he envisioned. Several two-story buildings are artfully scattered amidst rice paddies and lotus ponds. An infinity pool offers unparalleled views of the distant mountains. The rice seedlings have just been planted, and in a few months, one can truly experience the scene described by Xin Qiji: 'A bountiful harvest is spoken of amidst the fragrance of rice flowers, as the croaking of frogs fills the air.' **Environment:** The hotel's environment is exceptional. Surrounded by distant mountains, perched on a gentle slope, every room offers expansive views of lush greenery. The rice fields are close by, and at night, the sound of frogs fills the air. Each room boasts a large balcony. Sitting there, breathing in the fresh mountain air, sipping a cup of tea or coffee, time seems to slow down. **Hygiene:** The hotel's hygiene is top-notch. Despite being surrounded by farmland, there are surprisingly no mosquitoes or other insects in the rooms, which is quite rare. **Facilities:** As a meticulously crafted guesthouse, it offers all the amenities of a high-end hotel, especially the infinity pool with its unbeatable mountain views – truly an inspired touch. Of course, as a 'wild luxury' (my own definition) hotel, to encourage guests to truly reconnect with nature, the rooms intentionally lack televisions. This thoughtful decision is commendable! **Service:** Being far from the city, service is particularly important for guests. The hotel provides dedicated butlers who promptly address guests' questions and requests. Their efficiency is high, usually responding to guests almost immediately. The hotel offers complimentary airport/train station transfers, as well as unlimited complimentary transfers to the Zimu Pass (middle gate) of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which is incredibly helpful for guests. **In summary:** This is a uniquely positioned hotel. For travelers who love nature, appreciate peace and a slower pace, and have high standards for hotel quality, this hotel is definitely worth a short stay. **Final Suggestion:** Given its rural location, its own farmland, and the fact that it raises poultry and bees, the hotel should further leverage its unique advantages in terms of ingredients and cuisine. It could also appropriately guide local farmers to cultivate organic vegetables, fruits, and various eco-friendly produce, making a beneficial contribution to rural revitalization. I believe some guests would appreciate this.

A very unique and memorable stay in Zhangjiajie! We stayed 2 nights in the Morning Glow King Suite Bedroom. The highlight of this homestay is its cave concept. The reception area is huge, impressive, and beautifully designed, creating a real wow factor upon arrival. The property also features a cave restaurant where breakfast is served, and dinner can be arranged with advance booking. There is also a cosy cave lounge for guests to relax. Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The facilities were well maintained and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Location is excellent. The homestay is hidden behind the famous theatre performance venue but only a short walk to the main street, making it convenient while remaining quiet. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a unique accommodation experience in Zhangjiajie. The cave setting alone makes it worth staying here.

Cangshan Shadow Villa is truly a hidden gem in Zhangjiajie! Its location is a major advantage—very close to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and just a short drive to Baofeng Lake Scenic Area, making getting around and sightseeing extremely convenient. Tucked away in a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle, the guesthouse features its own vegetable garden in the courtyard. You can see rolling distant mountains the moment you open the window, creating an immersive, rustic mountain atmosphere. The guest rooms are spotlessly clean, with meticulous attention paid to hygiene details. The room amenities are thoughtfully chosen, featuring De Rucci mattresses paired with goose-down bedding that is soft and comfortable. There is also Evian bottled water and high-end toiletries, making it a wonderful experience to come back and rest after a tiring day of hiking. The owner and their family are warm and attentive, offering free pick-up and drop-off services throughout the area. They also helped us customize a complete Zhangjiajie travel itinerary based on our schedule, patiently explaining the attractions and ticketing details, which saved us a huge amount of hassle in planning. The guesthouse is packed with facilities, including a mountain-view swimming pool, a calligraphy room, a KTV, and a tea room. During downtime, you can sip tea in the courtyard, practice calligraphy, and quietly take in the mountain views. The restaurant is headed by a professional chef; breakfast can be customized upon request, using fresh ingredients and delivering outstanding flavors. From the hardware, cleanliness, service, and dining to the facilities, everything is exceptional. Whether you are entering through the East Gate of the Forest Park or visiting Baofeng Lake, Huanglong Cave, or the Grand Canyon, it makes the whole trip worry-free. Highly recommended! The next time we visit Zhangjiajie, we will definitely choose to stay at Cangshan Shadow Villa again!

The scenery at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is truly stunning. The house is located not far from the west gate. The landlady booked a ride from Zhangjiajie West Station to the park for 40 yuan, along with entrance fees for the scenic spots. The total cost for my 15-year-old daughter and I was 769 yuan. Zhangjiajie tickets are ridiculously expensive! The owner drove us back to Zhangjiajie West Station for 120 yuan. The house is a log cabin with poor soundproofing. The bathroom smells terrible. There's no toilet paper or disposable slippers, so you need to bring your own. The mouthwash cup was dirty and I didn't dare use it. Since the house is on the second floor, it was incredibly hot. The bath soap in the bathroom was still warm when I showered at night. After lunch, I went out to play and left the air conditioning on. When I returned, I found the owner had turned it off! The room was incredibly hot, and the air conditioning wasn't working. Even after showering, the room was still incredibly hot, and I broke into another sweat! I stayed for two days, ordering food from them the whole time. We ended up going out and returning to our room before 8pm. The owner, probably annoyed by our late return, had a very long face and was making a lot of noise while cooking. I kept saying thank you for cooking for us so late, but they're making money by eating at their place, so why are they being so rude?! I paid the landlady over 600 yuan for two days' worth of food, plus 120 yuan for a ride to the station. I also asked her to buy a watermelon, two plums, and two peaches for 30 yuan. When I left, she asked me to write a good review and said she'd give me a red envelope. I think I have to share my real stay experience with everyone!

Location: Just over a kilometer from the East Gate of the Forest Park, a three to four-minute taxi ride away. Room Facilities: Newly renovated with smart facilities throughout. There's a robot that can deliver meals, and the TV supports screen mirroring. The only minor flaw I could find was a slight creaking sound when opening the room door; otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect. Service Attitude: Everyone I met at this hotel was incredibly friendly! Upon arrival, the front desk lady explained how to best explore the Forest Park. In the evening, I mentioned to one of the hotel staff that I wanted to try berry tea, and without hesitation, he boiled water and made a cup for each of us. The auntie making wontons at breakfast even made me four specially, saying it symbolized prosperity. We booked a shuttle to Zhangjiajie West Station, and the driver arrived punctually and waited downstairs; he was very polite, and the business car was very comfortable. Hotel Features: What I loved most about this hotel was its rooftop sky garden. The garden houses over a dozen Ragdoll cats, which are incredibly cute and friendly. I made sure to pet them every day, and they were what I missed most when leaving. Overall, I absolutely loved it and would definitely come back given the chance!

The hotel was very clean, and the room's facilities were all voice-activated smart devices, which I loved because my own home is smart too. It was super comfortable, and the environment was great with good air quality! Plus, they offer free shuttle service to and from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park! They provide free shuttle service to the East Gate (Flag Gate) of the Forest Park. The hotel breakfast was also delicious. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip!

We came to Zhangjiajie for a trip, originally prepared for 20,000 steps of walking every day. However, once we arrived at the B&B, our 'special forces' itinerary turned into a relaxed vacation. The B&B is right next to the Tianzishan ticket station, so while others were still queuing to enter the park, we just strolled right in. All the time saved was spent enjoying our room, which had a 100-inch projector. After dinner, we'd watch a movie, and the next day, we'd sleep until we naturally woke up. This feeling of not having to rush, this sense of ease, was more valuable than seeing any sight.

Everything was perfect ! Resorts is located 5 min od walk from main entrance to Forest Park. Everywhere you can walk. Around hotel is located local shop and local restaurant with delicious Chinese food. 2 min from hotel you have located coffee restaurant with beautiful view on rice land. Here you are paying for location and view. We travel a lot of China. This hotel have same Chinese standard like all. Don’t compare it to Hilton or Sheraton - this will be big mistake. We will back here of course ! We recommend this hotel !

With pick-up and drop-off service from/to the train station, hotel, and Furong Ancient Town. This makes the location convenient. The staff tried to help as much as they could. The staff is friendly. They even offer some tea, snacks, and goodbye gifts. They are thoughtful. The hotel is renovated from an old, tired building. With the service of the friendly staff, they compensate for the shortcomings in other ways. Although the breakfast is buffet-style, the majority of the guests are Koreans and Chinese, so the food is not very international, but it's the same in most hotels locally since it's a village. The rooms are spacious that comes with a coffee/dining area. Since it's a night stay, and we spent most of the time at ”Furong Ancient Town” itself, we didn't stay much in the hotel. We are thankful to the staff for being helpful and efficient.
