The hotel is not quite new, that is obvious. The mirror on the room was missing, broken out by force.
There is no WiFi except in the reception area. The photo of the building shows balconies at all rooms on the photo side. But my room had none.
There was no daily room service.
For the rest it was okay. Well maintained, clean, quiet inside and mountain view from the windows. Small fridge, AC, full working bathroom. (Long waiting for warm water)
The breakfast buffet was great.
The swimming pool in front of the entrance was good. The seating area around poor. I really missed a bigger and nicer area, perhaps garden like around. Especially for I had no balcony.
I would go there again for sleeping and having breakfast. But for holidays I want to have a decent place outdoors as well.

Best value for money in the area. Very clean and comfortable. Amazing location, quiet and quick to walk everywhere. We used the free bikes available which were great. One of the front desk workers (Beer) was extremely helpful in booking our train tickets for us. Breakfast is okay, if you come after 8am the eggs are no longer hot. Room was a bit noisy due to the AC units right beside the windows. Overall though, we would definitely stay again! So clean and the rooftop views are amazing!

This hotel is really good, with an excellent view. You can watch hot air balloons take off from here. It's also super convenient with the Vang Vieng night market just downstairs and great transportation links. It can get a bit noisy at night if your room faces the street, so you might want to opt for a room on the other side.
There is so many good things that can be said. If you are looking for natural beauty only a minute away from the city this is it. Coupled with the most helpful staff I have ever experienced in line with The Taj in India. Over the top help and professionalism. Great pool and spa. Big rooms, comfortable bed. Tasty food at restaurant. And more …!
New modern hotel, located in the center of the town. Rooms a bit small but essential, with a nice design and beds are comfortable. Serious issue with water pump, interrupting water or working at very low pressure throughout the day. Swimming pool is great. Breakfast is ok, a bit basic. Great potential, but big room for improvement. Nice view from the room
The best hotel in Vang Vieng with a convenient location and beautiful mountain views.
The room is equipped with expensive furniture made of real Lao wood. A basket with towels is provided for visiting the pool.
A variety of breakfasts, both European and Chinese.
On the terrace above the river, you can dine with a beautiful view and watch the soaring balloons and sunset.
We stayed on New Year's Eve, and the general manager Pethantat Polsena organized a gala dinner with great dishes, champagne, a raffle and fireworks.
Excellent guest oriented staff and excellent service!
Had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Mountain View Resort. The view was absolutely beautiful, especially in the morning, and the surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the stay very comfortable. A great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended.

Hotel staffs is very supportive, hotel location is also very convenient, there were only a bit of communication problem with the tour that i booked through hotel staff, tour guide didn't speak English, and we don't know what will happen to prepare before joining the adventure activities, the zipline was fun, but the cave tubing was a bit scary.

The hotel's location is fantastic; it's just a short walk to 7-Eleven and Happy Mango, and there are laundromats conveniently located nearby! It's also arguably one of the cleaner hotels in Vang Vieng, and the front desk staff can speak Chinese. The bedding was cleaner than at my previous hotel, and you can even catch glimpses of hot air balloons. I personally found it to be excellent value for money. Admittedly, the rooms aren't particularly stylish or beautiful, but it's a clean, affordable, and high-value option right in Vang Vieng's city center.

Good Budget hotel in central Vang Vieng. Nice breakfast buffet. Great views from balcony.
Don't miss Sunrise from the public balcony on the 8th floor. You can watch Hot-Air Balloons ascend. Hotel can arrange motorcycle rental. (No license required!)

GGuest UserMixed Experience – Not Ideal for Solo Travelers
I recently stayed at this resort and had a very mixed experience. First, the location is quite inconvenient if you’re planning to visit the main attractions—it’s about a 30-minute walk or you’ll need to spend extra on rides like InDrive. There are no nearby convenience stores either, so plan ahead.
The resort seems better suited for large groups rather than solo travelers or couples. There is an onsite restaurant, but the menu is limited. We had a buffet lunch on the first day, but after that, it switched to a fixed menu with three options—unclear what determines the change.
The atmosphere can be a bit noisy, especially with large tour groups. During my stay, there were many Chinese tourists who were loud and partied late into the night, which could be a downside for light sleepers or those unfamiliar with that travel style.
The rooms themselves are decent, but there are some issues. Ants and moths appear at night, so it’s best to keep food and drinks sealed or in the fridge and turn off lights when not in use. Water is provided daily, but room cleaning is only done upon request. Also, Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the rooms at the far end of the resort—something to keep in mind if you rely on connectivity.
There is a swimming pool, but it wasn’t particularly inviting due to insects in the water—I didn’t see anyone use it during my stay. On the bright side, the view of the mountains is beautiful and offers a peaceful backdrop.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re traveling with a group, don’t mind extra commuting, and are okay with basic amenities and some nature-related inconveniences.
GGuest UserGood location, near everything, nice swimming pool. Friendly staff and tasty coffee. Only the breakfast is a let down as it is very small and narrow choice. All together it is worth it.

GGuest UserFeel like having fresh mango for breakfast? The fruit selection at the buffet is epic. They have fresh coffee and mango smoothies. The rooms are beautiful, amazing view, bottled water, toothbrushes, even face towels. Quiet air conditioning and there's a ceiling fan too. The beds are comfortable - we got a triple room with 3 single beds- and the power points are right next to the beds. Overall, our favourite hotel for the trip. Oh and the pool is great. We spent an afternoon drinking beer on the beach chairs and swimming.
*We got our own tuktuk back to the train station for 30k each instead of the 50k offered by the hotel.

GGuest UserSuper recommend to book a room with balcony with mountain view. Sunsets are stunning! Room was always clean. Aliza from reception was very friendly and helpful.
GGuest UserProbably the best value for its price. I great lounge zone with tables, the hotel is new. The owner and the manager guy are always trying to be helpful, very responsible. The hotel is super clean, they provide all the services starting from bus tickets and motorbike rental to hot air balloon and blue lagoon tours. Though there’s a better price for the buggy rent in the other places. I had a gigantic cockroach in my room once, I told the stuff they were very concerned, gave me poison and offered to change the room. Since I demolished the gigantic cockroach I haven’t seen any since but you have to remember that you are in Vangvieng, the insects are everywhere you can reduce the risk by keeping your door closed and keeping the light on
GGuest UserExcellent Stay at Kinton Hotel – Highly Recommended!
I had an amazing stay at Kinton Hotel. The place is packed with amenities and the service is truly top-notch. They provided free pick-up and drop-off, which made everything smooth and hassle-free.
One huge plus is their self-service laundry and dryer – super useful, especially if you’re doing outdoor activities or a longer trip. The food was quite good, and the cleanliness was exceptional. On the first day, our room was accidentally missed during cleaning, but they immediately sent someone up as soon as we let them know – great responsiveness.
I also booked via Trip.com, where it mentioned late checkout. The hotel honored that without hesitation, which I really appreciated.
For a city that’s full of parties and adventures, it’s great to come back to a comfortable, clean, and calm hotel like this. The price is very reasonable for what you get – maybe even a bit more value than you pay for.
If you’re visiting Vang Vieng, I highly recommend staying here. 👍
GGuest UserIf you're somewhat prepared for what to expect in Vang Vieng, Laos, then you should have a positive impression of this hotel. The staff can communicate in English, but even if you don't speak English, a translation app on your phone will suffice. The service attitude is excellent, and breakfast is good. The best part is that the hotel is right next to the hot air balloon launch site, so you can watch the balloons ascend, which is a beautiful sight. The hot water supply is plentiful. However, if you have high standards for cleanliness, I recommend bringing your own travel sleeping bag liner. When traveling to Laos, it's actually something you should prepare, and it's a point I realized I missed, even in Luang Prabang. There are small ants, which is unavoidable, so don't leave leftover beer or fruit on the table. All in all, as long as you're prepared, you'll be fine choosing this hotel. Oh, and finding it is absolutely not an issue.
