If you come to Dongshan Island, I sincerely recommend you to stay at Xiyan Seaview B&B!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 In the past, I chose hotels more often when traveling. I was impressed that the experience of B&Bs was not good, but Xiyan Seaview B&B overturned my impression of traditional B&Bs. From arriving at Dongshan Island, the caring housekeeper helped with luggage🧳 and special car pick-up, to the reception of the owner after arriving at the B&B, I felt the meticulousness and enthusiasm of the B&B. The room also prepared afternoon tea snacks. The drinks in the coffee shop of the B&B are very delicious🥤. I recommend everyone to drink it. The coconut crisps in the tea-colored room are also delicious~ I stayed in the ”Yimo” room. The scenery is as beautiful as its name. There is the sea outside the window🌊, the sunset is slanted on the mountain🌇, the sea water and the blue sky merge into one, and I was deeply shocked by this beautiful scenery. The caring boss lady saw that I was traveling alone and helped me take many beautiful photos. It makes me feel that I am not just staying in a B&B, but really feel like home~ Regarding the hardware facilities of the B&B🏨, I didn't take many photos. I am not a professional photographer, and I can't take pictures of the exquisiteness of the B&B. If you want to see it, you can follow their official accounts on a certain audio and a certain book🍠 or the introduction on a certain Cheng. To be honest, Xiyan B&B is different from the B&Bs I have stayed in before. Its hardware facilities are definitely comparable to five-star hotels. Not only is the decoration high-end and atmospheric, but many equipment and furniture are imported. Why do I say it feels like home? I just want to decorate my home according to this standard in the future. The boss of this house is really doing business very attentively. Many small details are considered for customers, which gave me a very pleasant travel experience! ✨✨ When a B&B has no problems with service, human touch, and hardware facilities, it must be a highlight and memory point in your trip. I was worried the sofa bed wouldn't fit my child (1.4 meters), but it's at least 1.8 meters long when unfolded, so my child slept comfortably! 3. Heat pump dryer! 4. The hotel offers pre-service: complimentary beach shoes, beach tools, and outdoor showers—super convenient! 5. The front desk staff are a group of energetic young people; communication was smooth and efficient. 6. Given the late hour and festive season, we were concerned that nearby restaurants might already be closed. To our pleasant surprise, several small eateries within 50 meters of the hotel were still open, allowing us to enjoy a proper late dinner. It was a reassuring start to our stay. The hotel’s environment is comfortable and welcoming. The lobby features a bright, clean design with warm wood tones and soft lighting that create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. A tasteful display area and cozy seating space add a subtle blend of business functionality and artistic charm. The front desk staff were professional and courteous, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient despite the late hour. We stayed in the Premier Themed Room (Japanese Style with Sakura), which was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Upon entering, we were greeted by a beautifully designed Japanese-inspired interior. Warm lighting, wooden flooring, and delicate sakura (cherry blossom) wall art created a serene and elegant ambiance. Wooden partition panels and subtle decorative details added refinement, giving the space an artistic yet tranquil feel — almost like a small ryokan-style retreat in the heart of Xiamen. The room was thoughtfully designed, spacious, and impeccably clean. A charming feature was the private balcony, which allowed fresh air in. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, dressed in crisp white linens. The mattress offered excellent support, and the pillows were soft yet supportive, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. All essential toiletries were generously provided, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dental kits, slippers, and towels. Everything was neatly arranged and well-maintained, reflecting attention to guest comfort. The complimentary breakfast was another pleasant surprise. It offered a good variety of well-prepared options, making it a satisfying way to start each day. The location is highly convenient, close to the Xiamen International Convention & Exhibition Center, with California Plaza Shopping Mall next door offering numerous dining choices. Whether for business or leisure, the hotel is an excellent option. Most importantly, the nightly rate was very reasonable and offered excellent value, especially considering the themed décor, balcony, full amenities, and included breakfast. The stay exceeded our expectations. We would gladly choose this room again on our next visit. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended!

Staying at this hotel was perfect for my friends and I, as we planned to explore Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and China City in the evening. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. Our room was spotless, smelled fresh, and had great natural light. It was well-equipped with everything we needed, making for a very comfortable stay. I'd definitely come back again!

I enjoyed my stay overall. While the hotel isn’t perfect, it offers great value if you’re looking for a relaxed beach holiday away from the busy tourist areas. Location The hotel is in a peaceful area close to Huangcuo Beach and Xitouxia, with plenty of small local seafood restaurants and traditional Chinese eateries nearby. If you’re not into seafood, there are still a few other dining options within walking distance. It’s about a 30-minute walk to popular cafés like Oncebook Coffee and Snow Peak Café. Further along the beach you’ll also find beach bars such as Breeze Bar and Amoy Beach Bar, where you can enjoy drinks overlooking the ocean. Most of Xiamen’s major attractions, including Shapowei, Zhongshan Road, Gulangyu Ferry Terminal, and MIXC, are around a 20–30 minute taxi ride away, making them easy to reach. Facilities The highlight of the hotel is definitely the swimming pool. It’s clean, relaxing, and has two sun loungers, making it a nice place to unwind after a day of exploring. The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast or have its own restaurant, but there are several places nearby where you can eat. Room The rooms are spacious and nicely designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide beautiful ocean views. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, with soft memory foam pillows, and the air conditioning works very well—something you’ll definitely appreciate during Xiamen’s summer. The bathroom is modern, with a large rainfall shower that has excellent water pressure. There are a few downsides, however. The room could be cleaner, and the hotel provides disposable towels instead of regular bath towels, which wasn’t my favourite. There’s also no minibar or mini fridge, which would have been a welcome addition. Service The reception staff deserve special mention. The gentleman who checked me in was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. His hospitality left a very positive impression. Final thoughts If you’re looking for a quiet beachside stay with comfortable rooms, beautiful ocean views, and don’t mind taking a taxi to Xiamen’s main attractions, this hotel is a solid choice. Just don’t expect luxury facilities or a full-service resort experience.

1. On the very first day of booking, an 8-person group chat was set up for us – truly VIP service! They patiently asked if we were driving and helped arrange parking and rooms. Upon arrival, someone was there to guide us to the parking spot. 2. We received a complimentary upgrade to a king-size room. The room's amenities were dazzling and extensive, truly impressive, from a large toilet seat for children to small cotton swabs and nail clippers. 3. The restaurant's food and breakfast were also delicious, featuring Wuyishan specialties. Tea and fruit were provided free of charge, and the tea eggs at the entrance were absolutely amazing. 4. Umbrellas were thoughtfully placed at the hotel entrance for guests to use freely. Remember to go to the first floor to enjoy tea with the lovely lady there.

The room was just okay, but it was worth the price. What exceeded my expectations was how enthusiastic the owner was. I had read a lot of negative reviews online and was prepared for a bad experience, but when I arrived, it was much better than I expected.

All the in-room amenities were fully functional, including the air conditioning, hot water, and toiletries – nothing was broken or faulty. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were incredibly attentive, responding quickly to requests with polite and patient service. I felt secure and comfortable during my stay, and it's definitely worth coming back to!
