We really enjoyed our stay at Etna hotel. The whole place has got so much character and authentic style. The staff was so friendly and keen to help. We felt really relaxed there.
And also the food in the restaurant was to die for!!! Have the Sicilian grill plate, we have enjoyed the food so much!
It’s also really close to the beach and the beach there is lovely!
Whilst a bit off the beaten track this is a lovely oasis. Staff were excellent and attentive, food was excellent and the pool and rooms really nice. Walking in the National park was fabulous, incredible wild flowers (April) and some of the small cove beaches beautiful if quite busy.
Fantastic structure. Super outdoor pool managed splendidly, always super clean with clear water. Restaurant room with super breakfast buffer and dinner with abundant dishes very good staff gentle and always available. The reception with staff available.
We'll be back
Very good value. It is located in the center of messin, so is a 10m walk from the main station. Signing in was a bit confusing as there was no one at the door to let me in, but a number was provided so I called and I was let in. My room card was already premade in an envelope near the entrance, so I didn't need to do anything further. Only bad thing is the drinks in the fridge aren't free and you will be charged if you drink them.
I'm really happy with the living... everything OK from cleaning, services, food... we made the massage and what to say?? 😍😍 very good ...
Super abundant buffet breakfast... all perfect. I recommend 👌👍

Very Good
GGuest UserIf I could give this place 20/10 for service, I would. When we arrived at the location, we were in a complete state of panic as we thought we had been scammed by the gas station up the road. After checking us in (a few hours early), the receptionist kindly accompanied us back to the gas station and helped us translate between Italian and English, clarifying the misunderstanding of the situation. This was exceptional service and kindness we were not expecting.
The room itself was incredibly luxurious - we actually had 2 bedrooms (family suite) for 2 people. The walk-in wardrobe was a delightful surprise, although we didn't stay long enough to enjoy it. As we were both working while on holiday, the study desk in each room gave us the privacy and space to do our meetings and work independently. The bar fridge was useful for us to store our salads, snacks and bottled drinks.
The bed was super comfortable and we had a very restful sleep. The pillows were also the right height. Thankfully, there was air conditioning - our previous hotel did not. We slept like babies. The bathroom had all the amenities, including a hairdryer which is essential for me.
Best for last - breakfast the next morning was an absolute feast. The continental style breakfast spread was generous and we indulged in pastries, yogurt, fresh fruits and marvellous coffee. I believe everything is baked fresh in house. As we checked out, we were even gifted a bag of pastries to take on our journey with us. <3
I highly recommend this place, and I am ever grateful to the wonderful hospitality we enjoyed here.
SshittalkerExcellent Stay with Great Location and Stunning Views
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic—just a 16-minute walk from the train station and about 15-20 minutes on foot to the island’s main attractions.
The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean, with the added bonus of being close to the sea. It even had two balconies, allowing us to enjoy the lovely views and fresh air.
What made our stay even better was the friendly and helpful staff. They were always welcoming and went out of their way to assist us whenever needed.
Here’s an updated version of your review that includes the negative aspects while maintaining a balanced and professional tone:

**Great Location & Beautiful Room, but Noise Can Be an Issue**
I had a mostly pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—just a **16-minute walk from the train station** and **15-20 minutes to the island’s main attractions**.
The room itself was **spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated**, with the added benefit of being **close to the sea** and featuring **two balconies**. The staff were also **very friendly and helpful**, which enhanced our experience.
However, there was one major downside: the walls are extremely thin. We could easily hear noises from the hallway and stairwell. On our last night, the neigh-boring room was very loud, which disrupted our sleep and unfortunately put a damper on an otherwise great trip.
JJessica AnneMy room was in the basement, and the first floor (seemed like maybe staff moving furniture around?) was very noisy after midnight. Lots of footsteps, talking, and the sound of moving furniture. It went on for hours both nights. I was also woken up at 8am my first day by someone knocking on my door. I assume it was the maid, but i can’t be sure. It was way too early to expect to be able to clean a room.
The bed was hard and creaky (there were three beds in my room, not sure why as I booked a room with a single queen bed) with no real blanket. It was fairly clean, though there was some hair in the sink and shower that did not belong to me. The shower was the biggest problem as it was a fairly narrow stall shower, and the drain needs to be cleaned out - the shower flooded after just a few minutes. The furniture is all very old, and the lighting in the room was incredibly dim. It did not feel inviting or look anything like the pictures in the listing.
The location is nearly an hour’s walk from Palermo Centrale and in another direction, nearly an hour’s walk from the Palazzo Butera. Unless you just want to visit the beach, it is not convenient at all. Even just buying water was a chore with the closest shop being about a quarter mile away.
The city tax listed on Trip is incorrect. You will need to pay three euros per day.
Overall, I would not stay here again.
JJoannaWe received room diferrently looking than on pictures, airconditioning need to be cleaned, we did not use it, due to the smell. Breakfast generally ok, but scrambled eggs need some improvement, did not prepare fresh. Building located in strict centre, which was good for base location for visiting, however during night earplugs needed. Amazing view from the tarrance, however only one big umbrella which cover just few tables from sunlight. Generally stay was ok, taking into account the price, however need some improvement.

GGuest UserHotel is not new But it’s in a very good location 5 min walk from main attractions, service is also good, enjoyed breakfast on the terrace with sea view. Stayed in room with sea view, spacious and bright. Only cleanliness should be improved
GGuest UserAn oasis in an otherwise average Village mosse. Is on the SR 115 which seems to be the road that takes you everywhere in Southern Sicilly. The location is great for the Valley of the Temples and a visit to old Agrigento. The room was excellent and it was nicely decorated and very clean. Beds were comfy. Other than a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom on arrival which went away after we’d used it and a noisy fridge that kept disturbed our sleep a bit the place was excellent. We had a small balcony outside to sit and relax in the evening. Owner ran us through the access instructions on arrival and was available should you need advice or help. Breakfasts were available but we did not take up the option.
Happy to recommend a stay to anyone
AAnonymous UserThe location is very good, really near from the tourist attractions. It is also surrounded with restaurants and bars. The big local market is just right to the next street. The neighborhood may look odd from the beginning but it is safe. The bed is comfortable. This is a free breakfast place, but the breakfast options are the easy to go ones. The owner doesn’t speak English but can work with google translate. He also offers a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel for €20. The walls are so thin so you can hear everything outside of your bedroom. This is most likely ideal for young people as the place is in front of different bars, so, it is very loud during the evening until 1 in the night.
WWinglalaThe room is small but clean, and you get what you need (hairdryer and shower stuff). The breakfast time is very early and not much a variety of food so we skipped mostly. The location is very close to the Neapolis Archaeological Park but I would prefer to live somewhere closer to Ortigia next time as there are more restaurants and activities going on there. Especially if you don’t have a car, you will have to walk 20+ minutes there which is a torture to walk during the cruel summer. If you want to do laundry, nothing nearby. Also no reception so you will have to call the number upon arrival and wait for the lady to come.
