Really nice hotel with really good restaurant. All staff members were really amazing, and made my stay really enjoyable.Ā
The only thing they need to sort out the loud noise that comes from the air conditioning in the middle of the night that canāt be stopped from the room. It kept me awake for the most part of my night.

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. When I tried to check in the staff didnāt have my name but only my friends even though I was the one that paid for the room? Bar food was nice enough but quite expensive over Ā£18 for 1 panini, 1 chips, soft drink & a tea! Room was clean and tidy and very quiet but unfortunately didnāt have the best sleep as bed was really uncomfortable, springs coming through the mattress and really lumpy hard pillows also which was a shame! Stayed there as music event was on at the Colchester Park and looked like it was the nearest hotel to it but walking there was a bit tricky as had to go across a main road and through a dodgy alleyway behind an industrial building which wasnāt signposted after the event had to walk the long way around through the town to get back to the hotel.
Have stayed in Premier Inn and Radisson at Stansted. Def an improvement on Radisson. My room smelt of aviation fuel! Premier inn rooms Premier plus rooms are on a par with Novotel . Found Novotel lacking in not supplying bottles of water in room, but where they win is the lovely bar and Ā restaurant. Really nice meal, excellent staff, I asked for my chips to be crispy, served as requested and food really hot, I will return.
The hotel is very njice a reward.

I generally book big hotels to get bigger rooms . This had a smallish bedroom, though with 2 wardrobes and loads of drawers. The shower room was really small but plenty shelf and cupboard space. The lounge/dining room absolutely ticked all the boxes. Good dining suite 2 leather couches, TV, fridge and again loads of drawer and cupboard space. What really is the star feature is the 2 full height sash windows and french windows all opening on to the balcony. Great breakfast and a hostess that cares.
The hotel location is good, nearby the retail park. And around 10mins drive to the seafront.
But the hotel room too small compare with the other area outside London. We booked the airport view, but the window also too small. So not really enjoy with the view. The hotel is old, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Not too many facilities in the hotel.
By the way, we are really enjoyed our trip in Holiday Inn. If we come to Southend on sea we will come again.

TheRadisun blue was great. Trip.com was the let down. I needed to get in touch over a booking matter which the au chat couldnāt deal with and after searching for over an hour, there was not one phone number to speak to a person. I ended up having to rebook my stay at an extra cost of Ā£104

GGuest UserQuiet and cosy place. Rooms very traditional. Breakfast is acceptable. Jogging machine at the gym strangely facing a opaque wall. Not really a convenient place, unless you are driving.
The first night we checked in, the receptionist said there was no double bed (deluxe king room we booked and prepaid) and gave us twin beds. Then the solo traveller who checked in after us got a deluxe king room. Apalling.
All other staff are friendly and cheerful.
Ggudetama_travelsThe swimming pool appeared quite big, although we didn't get a chance to use it. Our room was fairly roomy for two people, but with our group of four, it felt a bit crowded. It's worth noting that if you have heavy luggage, you might want to avoid booking a room on the top floor (second floor), as there are no lifts available in this hotel. The bathroom provided only shampoo and body wash, so you might need to bring or purchase your own conditioner.
The breakfast exceeded my expectations. Despite anticipating a traditional British offering, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety available, including English hot meals, a salad bar, a selection of cereals (there was Alpen!), milk alternatives (I particularly enjoyed the Oatly), and two coffee machines.
Their breakfast was so impressive that I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again when I visit Colchester next time.

CCheryl JaneThe hotel was pretty good but the bedroom was SOOO hot, it was cooler outside. Thankfully there was a fan for use in the room. Unfortunately I did not get a room near my travelling companion, not even on the same floor, despite being on the same booking. The lock on my door (room 16) did not work properly so I propped a chair against it overnight. A standard lamp in my room was not working. The room and bed was very comfortable and clean and despite being on the ground floor, right by the car park, I didn't get disturbed by other guests or cars. The restaurant was busy and a bit manic but the staff were pleasant and the vegan option I chose for dinner was very nice. Breakfast was okay but the plant-based cooked option I chose could've done with being hot. The coffee from the self-serve machine was really nice.
GGuest UserWe stayed 1 night while visiting family. The room was a reasonable size, comfortable bed, and clean environment. There was a wedding in our first evening but we were not disturbed by any noise.
Breakfast was really good but expensive for a buffet style breakfast.
Parking is quite tricky given that the area is busy. We became members to get it free. The desk clerk was very quick and organised. Unfortunately, the morning after the wedding, there was a smell of vomit outside the main door.
GGuest UserGood location. Friendly welcome staff. Room was clean. Was little cold but extra blanket helped.
I didnāt use the facilities. Only issue i found uncomfortable was getting to room via the stairs in bar area. A big round table when occupied i found little uncomfortable having to pass through to get to.
I left early, no one on reception to give key back too.
Waited a little, then went and looked. Found a member of staff in dining area behind, who advised was not her job. So left the key on reception side.
Nice hotel tho. Thank you
