Since the checkin we were handled by a young lady name Li Ruo Tong, she is very suitable in the frontline with a warm hospitality, indeed very helpful, assist us with express check-in proces, expedite and explain everything well. We are grateful that your frontliner have an excellent service attitude.
This hotel is recommended for travellers to Beijing with accessible prime locations, we are group of 3 families with infants, had an enjoyable stays. The room always get clean, tidy and neat everyday. Cleaning level 100%.
Most important is this Hotel connected to Shopping Malls.
Very well done for this hotel. Hopefully keep up the standard as always.
Thank you.

My children both age 8 and 10 enjoyed their stay. They liked that there is bathtub in the room. They specially liked that they can still swim when it was raining the whole day.
Though room is dated in design; it offers comfort. The pillows have beads in them, very nice to sleep on. King bed is big, can sleep a family of 4.
They also have a beautiful garden, too bad it rained and floor was wet so we missed entering for a walk. Could spot the goose walking about.
The staff is attentive and polite. I had some issue with my parcel delivery. They took the effort and time to help me locate it.
The room was spacious with a small table and two chairs, makes it easier for us to eat when we ordered take out.
The takeout could be placed in the pigeon holes at the entrance of hotel, and you can collect it from there.
Mac Donald’s, Lawson mart, a bakery. And also a halal restaurant 紫光园 are within 3-5 mins walking distance.
The restaurant has diff menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Food is good (we like the lunch/dinner better)
Walk to mrt will take some navigating. Exit B is the closest to the hotel. It is convenient to reach places in line 1 metro, whereby the various main attractions are situated.

Grand Hyatt Beijing in Dongcheng is an excellent choice for travelers seeking both comfort and convenience.
Its prime location near two metro stations and within walking distance to Wangfujing makes it easy to explore the city. The views from the rooms are appealing, offering glimpses of the bustling main street, though some traffic noise can be heard. A highlight of the hotel is the impressive swimming pool, which boasts excellent facilities, making it a must-visit.
The rooms are clean and feature soft, comfortable bedding, even if they show a bit of age. Breakfast options are decent, providing a wide range of food, although the menu could benefit from more frequent updates.
While WiFi access is limited by China's Great Firewall, preventing some websites from being accessed, the overall experience at Grand Hyatt Beijing is highly enjoyable, making it a great option for visitors to the city.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Regent in Beijing. The staff were generous with their patience and smiles, and the concierges were knowledgeable and helpful.
The breakfast is a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for - excellent quality and variety of food. On one day we headed out very early to see the Great Wall and since breakfast would not be open yet, the Regent kindly packed us all little picnic bags to eat en route.
If you are a small family with two children I highly recommend the Family Suite. It was so enjoyable to spend a day touring Beijing and then return for rest and recharging at The Regent Beijing.

The hotel is ideal for a one-night stay, especially if you have an early flight the next day. It’s convenient for that purpose.
However, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay — it’s just not comfortable or well-equipped enough for more than a quick overnight stop

When searching for accommodations in Beijing, I originally considered one of the city's top 10 hotels that boasted a view of the Forbidden City. However, after realizing that the view was distant and being particular about handling my own laundry, I switched last minute to 北京佳兆業鉑域行政公寓—and what a lucky decision that was!
This apartment-style hotel offers a perfect balance of space, comfort, and convenience. Our “apartment” was incredibly spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped. It felt like a true home away from home. With a full kitchen (complete with a full-sized refrigerator), a dining room, a living room, two bedrooms (for the three of us), and a generously sized bathroom, we couldn’t have asked for more.
The service was absolutely outstanding. From 小冉, who gave us a warm welcome and thorough orientation, to 小杜 on the evening shift, who went above and beyond to ensure all our grocery and meal deliveries were brought to our room promptly (sometimes even by a robot!), the staff’s attentiveness truly impressed us.
The breakfast buffet deserves special mention—it was a highlight of our mornings. Fresh, clean, and featuring a wide array of healthy and delicious options, it surpassed the offerings of many 5-star resorts we’ve stayed at. The onsite kitchen, where chefs prepared noodles, soups, and pancakes to order, added a personal touch. And let’s not forget the spectacular view from the 40th-floor restaurant, which set a positive tone for the day.
Lastly, the hotel’s location was incredibly convenient, being adjacent to several high-end shopping malls. We felt pampered and relaxed throughout our stay.
I highly recommend 北京佳兆業鉑域行政公寓 to anyone looking for a blend of luxury, convenience, and a homely atmosphere in Beijing.

The service provided by Concierge Jason was excellent and efficient. Front Desk staff member Rita was exceptionally friendly and understanding. Additionally, the male staff member with black glasses who works in the Lobby Restaurant was very professional. Their outstanding service is truly appreciated, and I believe they all deserve recognition or perhaps even a raise.
While I did have a minor encounter with a couple of Lobby Restaurant staff members whose service was less satisfactory, I have already shared my concerns directly with the management team. Overall, my experience was very positive thanks to the efforts of the other outstanding team members.

We recently stayed for 3 days at this hotel as a family with an infant and while the overall stay was pleasant, I feel compelled to share some important points that made our experience fall short of what we expected from a five-star establishment.
To begin with, we had booked a Premier Suite, anticipating a top-tier experience. Unfortunately, several issues left us feeling like we were staying in a three-star hotel at best.
* Cleanliness was disappointing — the floors were visibly dirty, and when we wiped them with a white towel, it turned dark. Photos attached clearly show the level of cleanliness we encountered.
* The room showed noticeable wear and tear, with interior elements feeling aged and in need of refurbishment. Some parts felt like they hadn’t been updated in decades.
* On our last night, the bathroom light could not be turned off, which made it very difficult to sleep. With our baby already asleep, we couldn’t call anyone to fix it without disturbing her.
* The spinning chair in the room looked stylish but made loud, unpleasant noises, making it impossible to sit and relax in peace.
* Several power sockets (about four) were not working, which was frustrating — especially when we tried to make tea or charge devices. We had to use inconveniently placed sockets instead.
* A lingering smell of cigarette smoke was present in the room throughout our stay, suggesting the furniture and fabrics have absorbed it over time.
* The female sauna was completely non-functional, which was a disappointment.
* We consistently pressed the ”Do Not Disturb” button, hoping for privacy, but every time we left the room, it was cleaned despite our request. While it's nice that the room was cleaned, our preference should have been respected.
* We also attempted to order food by phone twice, and our orders were never received. Whether this was due to a language barrier or other reasons remains unclear — but it was frustrating nonetheless.
Considering that Sofitel is a well-established and globally recognized luxury hotel brand, you would never expect to come across such issues. All of the above certainly will influence our families and our friends future decisions when choosing Sofitel hotels .
I want to stress that the stay overall wasn’t terrible — we enjoyed our time together as a family and had some positive moments. However, the above issues significantly detracted from what should have been a premium five-star experience. For the price and rating, we expected more attention to detail and basic functionality.

Thanks to the wonderful team at Empark Prime Hotel Beijing, my husband and I had a really memorable stay during our trip.
Special mention to Mark Wang and his team for attending to us when we first arrived, and preparing a nice surprise in the room. From the moment we arrived in the hotel, I could feel their warmth and good service, making us feel really comfortable and taken care of.
Also special mention to Nora (at the lobby service) for ensuring our needs were attended to promptly, very helpful and friendly.
On top of all these, the hotel’s amenities and facilities were also clean and well maintained. The housekeeping service was really good, ensuring we have a clean and tidy room to return to everyday.
The hotel is located at a very convenient area - walking distance and close to the subway stations, convenient stores, and the nearby shopping streets and many restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely choose Empark Prime Hotel again when we return to Beijing!

百富怡大酒店 is located around 15 min taxi ride from 北京站, which is convenient for us as we arrived at the train station. Ordering food delivery is convenient, as there's a pick locker at the guard house below. The hotel is also helpful in receiving taobao parcel. Overall a comfortable stay. Will stay there again if visiting Beijing.

YYen QiThe hotel is in CBD and there’s a metro station right next to it. Suggest to improve/ change menu for breakfast. I stayed for 3 nights and breakfast menu remains unchanged. Had the same food serve for the entire 3-day stay. But overall is good.
GGuest UserHad a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and super helpful. Our room was very spacious. The gym was huge and well equipped. The location is a little further out from the centre but well worth a stay if you don’t mind the 45 mins travel in.

TTMM76Had an amazing experience staying at Wanda Vista Hotel. Great amenities and room was very clean. Huge shoutout to Yoyo, our receptionist, that provided us with amazing service and hospitality. Would definitely return when I visit Beijing again.
GGuest UserWe were disappointed with the Intercontinental Hotel or we should say we have higher expectations for an international 5-star hotel. Check in was very disappointing. Our check in time was 3 pm. We arrived at 3:40 pm and was told our rooms are not ready yet and recommended that we go have a walk around the area and come back in an hour! Honestly, after a flight, we just want to get rested and then have dinner. With no choice, we went for a walk. We came back after more than an hour and our rooms were still not ready! Front desk told us to sit in the lobby and wait for another half an hour. No one came to ask us if we need anything while we waited. After more than half an hour, we were so tired that everyone asked to go inquire when will the rooms be ready. STILL NOT READY! But they said we can go to the rooms and if we needed adjustments, they can look after it later. The room has NO PRIVACY! The shower and toilet are separated but only has one sliding glass door that encloses one or the other at a time and you can see through. The bathtub is in the open. The hand sinks and counter design is so bad that every time you do anything with the water, you get drips on the floor. The shower faucet is the worst design I’ve seen in any hotel, so hard to adjust the temperature cuz you cannot figure out how much you’ve turned. And they all leak! Housekeeping was not professional enough. We found amenities that were not there the second day which means they didn’t give them to us the first day. Our mini bar was not refilled on the second day and I have to call front desk to refill it. There were still soap scums on the shower door handles and behind the wash basin. And interestingly, we found spelling mistake on the room service reminder card. That’s not acceptable for an international 5-star hotel. Breakfast has lots of choices but taste was just ok. We’ve had better at 4-star hotels. Location is very convenient to the adjacent mall with tons of restaurants and choices. However, the amount of people smoking in front of the hotel was not acceptable. Maybe they were too busy on check in day that they cannot have someone outside the hotel to inform people they cannot smoke there or it was some prominent guest smoking there and they didn’t dare to stop him but that one thing I noticed when I got out of the car upon arrival: SMOKING! Was glad there wasn’t much cigars smell after moving away from the front door. And people do not respect personal space. They stand so close to me and talked loudly. It was too uneasy. And they budge! My friend told me I have to be demanding and “bitchy” in China if I want things done but it’s hard being a Canadian for 40 year. Overall, I was not getting what I paid for.

SSuriyaTravelled with elderly parents. This hotel is the perfect place as it has a 24 hours internal passage way to Westin Hotel which makes it easy and calm for taxi pick up and drop off. You don't have to rush as there is a proper drive thru at Westin Hotel. The 2 rooms and 2 bath was great for a family of 2 elderly parents and 1 adult. The kitchen has basic amenities such as electric stove, pots and pans, ladle, cups and saucer, coffee pod machines, oven, fridge with freezer, microwave with over feature, water boiler. Call the reception or WeChat them for additional kitchen items such as plates, bowls, fork and spoons, rice cooker, cleaning sponge, dish washing liquid. Be very detailed in what you need especially if they are non-conventional in China such as fork and spoon and the staff will try their best to source them for you. There's a 2 in 1 washing and dryer machine for laundry, request laundry soap from reception. There's also a clothes drying rack if you don't wish to use the dryer. I find its easiest to chat with the staff thru WeChat as there's an auto translate feature that we can use. Everyone was really great, from reception all the way to cleaning staff. Thank you the young man at reception who received us on 30 Dec 2024 at 4am in the morning with still a cheery face and very friendly and kind. Also thank you to cleaning lady Ms Wang Xi Yuan for asking what time is best for her to clean, she even checked the time with us. It's a quiet area because it's a financial district, so I slept very well without noise disturbance even though our room was facing the main road. The temperature was also comfortable and sensitive to our manual changes in the 2 rooms and living room. There was a steam iron machine, dehumidifier and air purifier. The metro was 15-20 minutes walk but that's ok for us as we mostly needed the taxi for my mum who can't walk far. The metro when we did use it goes straight to the Forbidden Palace and Niujie (halal community area). There are not many supermarkets around but plenty of food order options from MeiTuan, we ordered our groceries and halal food from MeiTuan because we were in close delivery distance to Niujie where there are plenty of halal restaurants. Also thank you for the free milk and fruit, healthy snacks that we enjoyed. There was also the option to have paid breakfast buffet at the Westin but I was not sure on the halal status so did not try that. Plenty of towels, bath towel, medium and smaller towels in the bathroom. 1 bathroom had a bathtub. Overall I would definitely come back to this hotel for family and 3-4 person group stay as we have plenty of space at the living room to chat and eat, and a good kitchen to cook together.

MMaverick MakStayed 2 nights at the Commune by the Great Wall, an Unbound Collection by Hyatt.
The resort is spread over a big acres of land within the Shuiguan area, also a short proximity to the renowned Badaling Great Wall.
You have to reach there by car or by DiDi as there is no public transport to reach the Commune. This is a resort for those who wish to spend quality time, to seek refuge and to relax.
The resort was designed by 12 individual renowned architects, each reflecting their own taste and styles, clearly demonstrated in the Communal Home you are staying.
Each Communal Home consists of 5-6 rooms where you share common spaces such as Living, Dining, Kitchen and Courtyard with other fellow travellers. You will still have your own room and private bathroom similar to any other hotels or resorts. With the Communal Home, you can access these public area / communal area where often it is under utilised which is great for us.
The room is immaculately adorned with the furniture styles of the Communal Home you have selected. There is Cantilever House (Red House), Terrace House, Suitcase House, Bamboo Wall, Forest House etc.
My Bamboo Wall room is a little small in my opinion. The bedding is on a Tatami Platform. Bathroom is too big and it takes up too much space for the bedroom. There are limited spaces for the suitcase as we travel from afar. There is also no hook for clothing in the bathroom, no hook for the hand towel which is quite strange given that it is quite luxurious.
We bought the package which includes daily breakfast for 2 with Shuiguan Great Wall Ticket and a High Tea.
There is an outdoor swimming pool within the hotel and a gym. The pool is only open for 3 months during the summer months, not sure why the restrictions even though it is not a heated pool. During my visit, day time was hot and the air temperature was around 26-28 degrees. Though the water temperature may be way cooler, but if the pool is opened, we will probably take a dip.
The breakfast is either a la carte or buffet depending on the hotel's occupancy rate. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel as well and the food is very good though it is on the pricey side.
To move around the resort, you will either walk (depending on the location of your accommodation), it can be far away from the restaurant or the reception. You can call them for a car pick up.
The driver 小宋 is a great asset to the property, so as our Housekeeper 小李(李鸿建), he was very attentive and observatory. He saw we have many medicine and supplements in the room and he gave us extra water and left us a note. Great initiative!
In short, it is a very memorable stay and a very good hideaway.

JJeffrey AlanMy family and I have visited Beijing 5 times since 2011, and every time we've stayed at the Tangla. It has definitely lost some of its initial grandeur through the years, but is still a good value.
The rooms are clean and a little more spacious than a typical hotel room, with a desk area and a bathroom that includes a separate tub and shower. The hotel has 22 floors with 4 elevators that work very efficiently. It was rare when we needed to wait longer than a minute for the elevator to arrive.
The location is pretty good. Right across the street is a shopping mall with a supermarket, numerous restaurants on the 4th and 5th floors and some fast food on the first floors. On another side of the street is the Capital Museum, which is worth checking out for an afternoon if you have the time. A subway stop is a half-kilometer walk away, and that subway line runs directly to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing, and numerous other attractions.
However, traffic at this intersection has made this location less desirable over time. The main intersection doesn't allow left turns, and street lights don't change for 2 or more minutes at a time during most of the day. As a result, when taking a taxi, your taxi might be mere blocks away but nevertheless 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The traffic can also make taking a taxi down Chang'an street very, very slow. The 6km taxi ride to the Forbidden City can easily take 30 or more minutes just between waiting for your car to arrive and the roundabout way he has to take to get there.
The hotel has a gym and pool. The pool is really nice and my son says the gym is too. There's a salon/massage place that we haven't used.
It used to have three restaurants but one of them has since closed. We did not use either of the existing restaurants due to the abundance of good restaurants across the street. There is a tea room that we would have taken advantage of during this last trip but it has been closed indefinitely as well. The hotel features 5-star award plaques from previous years but the most recent year with a plaque is from 2018.
Support from the front desk in English is minimal. They had one staff member with a limited knowledge of English but that's the extent of it. My wife speaks Chinese so this didn't present a burden for me, but it might for some other English speaking guests.
Overall, it's still a good hotel with a good location, and prices are very good. I can't say when I'll be back in Beijing again, but when I am chances are good I'll be back at the Tangla.
