I chose this hotel because it's conveniently located with a bus going to Fox Village from Shiroishi-Zao Station. The hotel itself is great, with two self-service washing machines and two restaurants. The breakfast was delicious! 😋

I've stayed here about 5 or 6 times now, and every visit, the cleanliness is impeccable and the service is excellent. The staff's polite language and their commitment to ensuring guests never feel uncomfortable truly put me at ease. This time, for the first time, I opted for a room-only stay as I wanted to enjoy a relaxing hot spring trip without any interference. (Previously, my best friend and I always chose plans with breakfast and dinner.) This kind of stay is also very reasonable, and given the reliable service, I'll continue to choose Rantei for all my future visits to Akiu Onsen, rather than trying other inns. Having just turned 60, I'm not sure how many more times I'll be able to visit... Thank you so much for everything.

3/Apr/2026 Reception is helpful even though we arrived at 11am, she helped to store our luggages snd gave full explanation. Close to Sendai station but aware of losing direction so be sure to ask local for direction first when heading to hotel. Breakfast is excellent and those ladies worked in the canteen were professional. Quiet and sleep well. Lots of amenities were placed near the elevator at G/F. Lucky that day were sunny so using the Loople bus to get around but the next day (4/Apr/2026 Unfortunately it rained and getting cold at Matsshima

In my daze, I only booked for one person. Luckily, the bunk bed could sleep two, and I checked in smoothly after paying the difference. The room wasn't big, but thankfully I had a small suitcase with a change of clothes for the night. I slept in too late the next day and didn't have time for breakfast, so I can only blame myself.

The shabu-shabu dinner was satisfying, with a good selection and a generous portion. They also made a separate bowl of porridge for my elderly father, which was very helpful. Everything at the breakfast buffet was delicious. The room was also very clean and comfortable, with a reclining chair so we could relax. The only downside was that the window was dirty, which made it difficult to see the view. It was great that there were so many services that could be enjoyed by everyone, from small children to the elderly.

When I was traveling with my son and wife, I was planning to stay in 2 rooms for 2 nights at first, but I could only book 1 rooms during the reservation, and when I called the hotel, they responded comfortably! Hotel breakfast is cheap and delicious even though it is a buffet! There are a lot of restaurants and places to play around! The nearby aquarium is a place where children and adults can enjoy and play all day long!

GGuest UserThis hotel in Sendai is extremely friendly to international travelers. One of the staff members can speak Chinese, which was incredibly helpful for us. She assisted us with many things during our stay and helped arrange luggage storage before check-in, making everything very smooth and convenient. The room is also slightly larger compared to many hotels in Japan, which made the stay more comfortable. The location is excellent as well — it is very close to Sendai Station, and there are supermarkets and many shops nearby, making it very convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and there is really nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Sendai.

AAnonymous UserWe were to people during 3 nights. The pictures are from after our stay, that’s why it’s a bit messy. It was very tidy and nice before we moved in for our stay. It was quite close to the station and a lot of restaurants close by, and extremely close to the morning market as well, which was nice. The room was very nice and clean. A little bit spacious as well. If you have a suitcase I think you maybe manage to open it somehow. We didn’t use any cleaning service. They also had a sign you could use if you didn’t want new towels (which I thought was good from the environmental perspective). The people were nice and polite. The amenity was good as well. They had de basic stuff, which was good. Overall we think we had a very nice stay at this hotel.

GGuest UserLocation a little away from the centre, no that easy to get to but in a quiet residential area. Very friendly staff with good service. Also allowed to leave baggage after check in. The lady who helped with that also had perfect English. Unfortunately I ended up at a time where the prices were extortionate due to some event happening but this was the most affordably priced option without sacrificing too much, also one of the very few with rooms available at that time too. Happy with this and would recommend if you don't mind a bit of distance to the centre.

GGuest UserIt’s a new hotel which you can tell from the exterior and the lobby decor. The room is the usual business hotel offering and is sufficient since I’m traveling solo. The room is clean, but note that you have to put up a magnetic card on the door everyday requesting either cleaning of room or change of towels. There is a small morning market right across the street and a few eateries around the area. It’s about a 10 min walk to JR station, but there are elevators / escalators the whole way so no need to deal with stairs.

GGuest UserSendai has become my second favorite city in Japan. It offers the perfect blend of chill and urban vibes — not as crowded as Tokyo, Osaka, or Sapporo, yet equally lively and enjoyable. This capsule hotel is located right along the main business street, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. There’s even an Ichiran Ramen just next door, and a famous Taiyaki shop only a 2–3 minute walk away. Sendai Station is about a 10-minute walk from the property. However, one downside is the confusing luggage policy. The hotel rules state that large luggage cannot be brought into the sleeping area, so I rented a chain lock (JPY 100) to secure my suitcase in the hallway. Despite this, many guests still brought their bags inside, so the rule seemed inconsistently enforced. For guests like me who followed the policy, it was a bit inconvenient since my capsule was quite far from the hallway and it was troublesome to retrieve my belongings each time.

JJoyee LaiHotel Green Plus has a very strategic location, within walking distance to Sendai Station. It is easy to reach even with luggage, as there is a lift accessible from the skywalk. The hotel is located in a lively covered shopping street and is directly opposite the famous Ichiran Ramen, which makes dining and shopping extremely convenient. Although the main entrance has stairs, there is actually a hidden lift that provides access to the hotel lobby and guest rooms, which is very helpful for guests with luggage. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. A young lady at the reception patiently helped me make several calls to my desired restaurant to assist with a reservation. A male receptionist even helped carry my luggage to the shopping street, which was truly impressive and very touching. Overall, a convenient stay with warm service and excellent location. Highly recommended

GGuest UserLocation was far from Train station - hence need a free shuttle bus from Sendai station to go in. Kind of challenging to book and confirm the shuttle arrangement but got it done after few clarifications. Hotel itself is near Akiu Sato centre which is good Hotel is big but quite old looking, room spacious , good onsen. very good dinner buffet with snow crabs daily. Buffet breakfast limited spread but OK Problem is other main attractions are far and need to take bus/taxi. The Akiu traditional craft village/park was a big disappointment with no visitors and only few shops opened. Not worth going at all

TTina GoodenoughThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to the shopping street, and it's about a 10-minute walk to the JR station. The breakfast is quite varied, with one or two dishes updated daily, plus fresh oranges available, which is really nice.

JJasper Ng KRThis hotel is located about 15mins walk away from Nakanosakae Station and 10mins walk away from Sendai Aquarium. Mitsui Outlet is also conveniently about 10mins walk away. Check in can be a chore as it is self service but the staffs are available to help with the information required. Other than that, the hotel is awesome! Breakfast has a huge spread, especially with the Salmon and Tuna Sashimi to make your own don. After your onsen bath, there is ice popsicle at night and lactic drink in the morning. The hotel also provides their late night Soyu Soba for free if you are hungry. Other than this, there is a comic library to pass your time. Room size is decent. Enjoyed my stay here for 2 nights.
