On short notice, I was looking for various accommodations, including business hotels. I chose this one as I only needed a room for the night. The price was very reasonable, and it was excellent.
What surprised us most about this hotel was the amazing breakfast! There was so much variety! It's very close to Hikone station. It seems that it even offers bicycles for (free) use. We thought of going for a short bike ride in the morning but didn't have enough time--needed to get to Kyoto (only an hour away) quickly. This hotel makes an overnight trip to see beautiful Hikone castle very feasible.
I stay every Monday and Friday for work reasons. Compact, clean rooms, well equipped with all the necessary facilities, making you feel comfortable. There is a shopping mall nearby and you can get almost everything you need locally.
This hotel is just next to Maibara. It is very convenient to go other parts of Lake Biwa. Its bed and pillows are comfortable. Just like other japan hotels, small challenges to open two 24” luggages. Breakfast is simple and nice. There are several types of rice balls to choose (love the fried chicken, egg, fried meat), miso soup, corn soup, healthy fruit juice, bread and coffee.
The room is spacious, clean and tidy. The breakfast is exquisite. The best is the ninth floor Omi beef teppanyaki. The meat is tender and the appetizer is paired with salmon dishes. The dessert strawberries are amazing.
This is a **** hotel. They probably weren't too welcoming of a solo driver like me. I was in a rush from Kyoto and saw free parking, so I happened to book this place. There was no one in the hotel. There was a phone at the main entrance (probably for communication). Japanese people book rooms knowing which one they want and go straight to their rooms (without locking the door) because they want privacy. When I arrived, I tried to find someone, but an elderly woman who didn't speak English came out and talked for a long time before finally letting me in... But then I think they probably asked for two of us. I nodded randomly, and only then did I understand why I was there. There was a ************ rental price list on the table. I wouldn't have made any money going alone. I have to say, the Japanese really know how to have fun in this area!
We drove to the hotel and were able to park in the hotel's contracted parking lot. The room was even cleaner and more comfortable than we expected. We had made a reservation for breakfast in advance and were impressed by the deliciousness, variety, and abundance of local ingredients. We are grateful for the hospitality of the hotel staff. We hope to have another opportunity to share these wonderful memories.
The location is good. It is in front of the station and there are malls and other commercial facilities nearby, so it is a lively place. It is close to Omihachiman and is a perfect place to stay after exploring the historic city.
Check-in is only possible at the designated time. You need to use the self-service check-in machine, which was slow due to lack of familiarity. It's convenient to walk to the station.

Amazing
NNuonuokafeiThank you very much to Ctrip customer service Saga. I contacted him after I got on the train from Kyoto to Hikone and asked the hotel to pick me up. He solved the problem as fast as lightning, accurately, efficiently and with high quality! The public transportation from Kyoto to Hikone takes about an hour. When I arrived, I found the hotel's transportation bus accurately and clearly according to the notification. I was picked up by myself. The journey took five minutes. It was in the direction of Hikone Castle. It was not recommended to walk with luggage. It would be more tiring. If you take a taxi, it would cost about 700 yen. Half of the hotel room faces the castle and the other half has no view. The scenery facing the castle is very beautiful. I checked in on April 2, 2025. The cherry blossoms will be in full bloom after April 10. My room on the top floor of the 5th floor faces the castle tower, and the scenery is first-class. The room is not big. The other bed is attached to the wall and it is inconvenient to go up and down. It is just right for one person to live. The bathroom has been renovated. The room style is more old-fashioned, not old. The room without a view on the other side is smaller, and the check-in experience is poor. I booked a one-night stay and two meals, and Japanese cuisine for dinner. I think the quality is very good, but the duck hot pot tastes average, and the overall sincerity is full. The breakfast is simpler, there is no hot spring egg, but there are all kinds of freshly fried vegetable tempura. The breakfast is worse than that of Ogoto Ryokusuitei, and the dinner is about the same level. They are all hotels that cook very carefully, so you can rest assured to choose the meal package. The lounge has beer and juice, but no snacks. The male and female hot spring baths are not changed. The female baths are 38.5 degrees and 42.5 degrees, so one is too cold and the other is too hot. 41 degrees is better. The reason for giving one star for hygiene is: I found a green Japanese-style outer coat with oil spots and changed it to a purple flower one. This is the decision I regret the most, which means that it should not be worn without washing. After taking a hot spring bath in the afternoon, I put it on and drank tea in the room. I felt that it smelled bad. I picked up the outer coat and smelled it. I almost didn't send it away. The stench made me rush to the bathroom to vomit. It was the stench of people with severe bad breath sneezing several times at the clothes. This kind of clothes is not like a yukata. It is not changed for each guest. It is very unhygienic. The slipper cabinet is also smelly, and the slippers are a little sticky on the floor. I went to the hot spring again to wash it again and change into my own clothes, but the feeling of nausea was difficult to eliminate. The hotel will pick you up at the station at 9, 10, or 11 in the morning, and the staff are courteous and considerate.
GGuest UserThe hotel staff was very helpful and cooperative with me to work past our language barrier. They made check in very smooth and the service at the hotel was great.
GGuest UserOn short notice, I was looking for various accommodations, including business hotels. I chose this one as I only needed a room for the night. The price was very reasonable, and it was excellent.
GGuest UserThe parking lot was conveniently located right outside the hotel and affordable for an overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. There were plenty of self-service options, like drinks and ice, so I never had to worry about beverages. I'd definitely like to stay here again.
TTadatoshi ShibataMy room was in front of the air conditioner unit storage area, so the view from the window was terrible.
Apparently there are rooms with views of Lake Biwa, so I wish they'd let me choose the view I wanted.
Even though I asked if I wanted a room with a good view when I checked in...
I wish they'd explained to me that, if there was an air conditioner unit outside the window, unfortunately there were no other rooms available, or that the other rooms were more expensive.
GGuest UserBeing right next to the train station and a supermarket (and 100 yen shop!), this hotel is very convenient! It was great to find a washing machine and dryer within the men's public bath area--this allowed me to start washing some laundry, relax in the bath and then free massage chair, and then take my clean clothes back to my room. Breakfast offered a lot of variety--it was wonderful! A bonus was that the hotel had three bicycles available for free rental (during the time I stayed there--this is perhaps a seasonal amenity). This allowed me to ride to the ferry to Okishima one morning (note: it takes one hour to reach the ferry and then one to get back to the hotel, so plan accordingly).
22052520656A perfect stay, the owner was very enthusiastic, introduced different restaurants nearby and helped to book the hotel. Although it was not perfect for communication, there was no problem with the translation. The first floor is a public bathroom with a bath pool. The hotel is out of Wuhu, very beautiful. Will definitely come again if you have a chance
GGuest UserWe stayed two nights in the hotel with breakfast and dinner. The web page of Trip.com showed that there was onsen in the hotel but when we check in, we were told that it was a ”mistake”. There is no onsen and the photo is a public onsen half an hours away. It was very disappoining that the Trip.com include photos irrelevant to the hotel. Dinner was also diffferent from the web photo. We have to pay 2500 yen each to upgrade the dinner to shsbu shabu. Breakfast is Japanese style with limited choice. Other than these, we had lake view room and shopping mall is nearby which are the advantages.
GGuest UserLocation of the hotel is very convenient. It is 5-10 min walk from JR Otsu station which is only 2 stop away from JR Kyoto which costs about 200 yen. The room is clean and quiet but it is a bit tight for 2 mid size luggages (to open simultaneously) but still manageable. Hotel comes with full Japanese breakfast and has coin operated laundry (200yen) and dryer (free). We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who don't mind staying out of Kyoto.
