3-Star Hotels in Eastern Province, Sri Lanka

Welcome to Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. Nice hotel with great swimming pool. Hotel is close to the beach, you can walk there very fast. Service was good, friendly and kind staff with great English language skills. My friend and she's family really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Swimming pool, also to childrens pool was very nice size and well maintained, very clean water and surrounding.

Хороший отель, ни чуть не пожалели, что остановились здесь. Вкусные завтраки, вкусные ужины, хороший чистый бассейн и очень приветливый персонал. В комнате пахнет очень вкусно - лемонграсом. Минус комнаты - сильная слышимость. Мы пытались уснуть пораньше, так как предстоял ранний подъем но до 10 вечера слышали, как соседи звенели вилками и болтали, ужиная. Еще один минус - расположение кондиционера. Он дует прямо на кровать, а одеял в отеле нет, только простыни. С кондиционером холодно, без него - жарко 😁 Но в целом, эти два минуса не перекрыли позитивный настрой, так как отель показался нам очень классным. Отдельный плюс я хочу отметить за книжку с заданиями, которую дали моему сыну. Очень много интересных заданий, которые он выполнял, пока ожидал ужин, или в течение дня. По прохождении книжки есть подарок - мороженое. Очень мило. Кстати, в пяти минутах от отеля чудесный пляж! 🥰 и там почти нет людей.

Siamo stati qui due notti, la famiglia è molto disponibile e cordiale. Abbiamo anche fatto qui colazione, hanno un salone comune al piano terra dove ad ogni camera/gruppo viene servita. Le stanze sono in buono stato ma sulla pulizia si può fare di meglio, soprattutto nel bagno.

There were so many things, but overall, all the staff were very hardworking, kind and good people! First of all, it seems that the reservation for 4 nights that I had made on Trip.com was not made at the time of check-in. There are many staff members, but there are only about two staff members who can communicate in English without any problems, and it was difficult to find them every time lol. I was hurriedly guided to my room, but I couldn't find the air conditioner remote control, and a staff member just brought me a towel (probably the room was hastily provided, so it was not fully prepared?) When I asked for the remote control at that time, they brought it to me relatively quickly. The wi-fi password was handwritten on the phone, but it was faded and I couldn't read it, so I looked for a staff member again and asked lol. I thought there would be hot water, but it was room temperature (it was a little cold at first, but if you try hard to take a shower, it feels like it's getting warmer for some reason, but it was exactly the same temperature lol) and the water pressure was quite weak. I asked the staff, but it seems that the temperature probably can't be changed. I asked them for at least the water pressure, and it improved a little. However, the water pressure was weak again the next night, so I asked them to adjust the water pressure every day for four days before taking a shower. When the staff came to check the water pressure, they stood on the bath mat with their shoes on, and the bath mat turned black because the shoes were wet with water... This happened two days in a row, so we told them that the water pressure had improved and it was okay to check it. It may be a cultural difference, but I guess they don't care about guests' bath mats turning black. The laundry service, free bicycle rental, and currency exchange that were listed on Trip.com (same as ***********) were not available lol The location is nice, right in front of the sea. It's a 10-20 minute walk to the town, but I was so scared of the stray dogs at night (they sleep and relax during the day, but are super active at night...) that I had to use a tuk-tuk every time. The hotel itself is not bad, but the shower was the only thing that bothered me. There were also frequent power outages every day. (It wasn't particularly difficult, but it sometimes took several hours lol) The staff were all really trying to solve the problem and listen to our requests. They were very calm and friendly, and always had a shy smile lol However, their English was quite weak, so it was necessary to be patient and communicate.

Отель в общем нам понравился, но соседская собака.. она лает просто так и ночью плохо спит.. В комнате кондиционер и вентилятор. При заезде в номере была вода, но по продлению ее не добавляют. Через трип ком завтраки платные, 1000руп на двоих, нам не понравился первый, больше не просили. Жить можно)

We absolutely loved our time at the Hideaway! The grounds are incredible with tons of luscious plants that are beautifully maintained. Our cabana was amazing. Spacious, sparkling clean with fun tropical touches like a beautiful handmade quilt on the bed, fresh tropical flowers in the bathroom and main cabana and touches of bright colors throughout. We spent 3 nights at the Hideaway at the end of our trip and truly felt like we were fully able to unwind and relax there. We ate breakfast every day at their amazing café with delicious coffee, fresh juices and smoothies and bomb food (both local and Western options). Their bar has an epic happy hour from 6-8 with yummy BOGO drinks and the restaurant was some of the best food we had during our entire trip. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool on the back of the property and took a yoga class one morning which was quite relaxing. Their service was also impeccable with very helpful staff. We became close with a few of the employees there during our short stay - we loved Mathy and Hetti! Would 100% recommend and stay again!

My friend and I stayed here for two days. The service was very good. I bought beef and crab sea shrimp to the kitchen for processing. The staff was still helping. It was very convenient to walk out for less than 3 minutes. It was super beautiful to watch the sunrise and sunset. The hotel environment is also better, clean and hygienic. If you go again, you must choose this one.
