Good location, close proximity within few minutes walking distance to KSL and many eateries. Nicely decorated and clean unit, aircon is powerful and wifi is working well. Thanks to the host for helping us book the Karaoke room, my family had a great time singing. Unfortunately our stay is too short and we didn't get a chance to use the pool table when we realised the apartment also has one. Only shortcoming is the pungent smell especially in the common bathroom coming from the sewage, but I realised it is very common in most apartments in JB that I have stayed so far. Overall, a pleasant stay.

This accommodation offers excellent value with a strategic location, outstanding cleanliness, and friendly and helpful staff. The facilities provided are also satisfactory and suitable for various needs. However, the room size is quite small, so if space is a priority, it may need to be considered. Overall, a very satisfying experience and worth trying.

We booked this accommodation at the last min as we were looking for a play to stay. Location was great, near CIQ and Komtar JBCC. Room wasn’t very clean but liveable for one night. There was a stain on our comforter and bedsheet (as seen in pic) and we told the staff to change it but I think due to miscom they gave us a thin piece of blanket (?) instead. So we basically slept without a comforter but it’s fine cos the aircon wasn’t very cold. It got colder towards the morning. There wasn’t any hair dryer too. We could also hear vehicles passing by and people closing their doors etc, the area wasn’t very soundproof. Still, we managed to get a good rest. Would recommend if you’re not fussy and looking for cheaper alternatives.

Pros: The location is excellent, with plenty of halal dining options nearby and a small shopping mall just a few minutes’ walk away. The hotel is conveniently located about 25 minutes from the Mini Zoo and only 10 minutes from Desaru Beach. The room rates are affordable, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a connecting room, which we greatly appreciated. The room was also clean and comfortable. Cons: One major inconvenience was that the refrigerator automatically switched off whenever we left the room. After spending a long, hot day outdoors, it was disappointing to return and find our drinks no longer cold. On our first night, we requested an extra towel and toothbrush set since there were three guests in the room. Unfortunately, the items were not delivered, even after we followed up at the front desk. There was also no floor mat provided. Thankfully, our experience improved the next day thanks to Zamre at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful, and made sure we received everything we needed. He also ensured our room was ready by 1 PM. Zamre’s excellent service truly stood out and made a positive difference to our stay. He is probably the main reason we would choose to return to Fives Desaru on our next visit. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and with improvements in housekeeping responsiveness, the experience would be even better.

Great value for money! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For just S$50+ per night, I think Crystal Crown Hotel offers good value. The room was spacious and comfortable, making our stay pleasant. One thing I really appreciated was having two vanity areas, one inside the bathroom and another in front of the bed. It was especially convenient since we were getting ready to attend a wedding, so we didn’t have to take turns. The room also came with a bathtub, which was a nice bonus at this price point and perfect for relaxing after a long day. Overall, while the hotel may not be the newest, it’s clean, comfortable, and practical. If you’re looking for an affordable stay in Johor Bahru with spacious rooms and useful amenities, this is definitely a solid option.

The place is spacious with 3 double beds. The location is unbeatable with eateries surrounding it. There is a fridge and dining table.. However, when I had trouble unlocking the gate, my calls to the management went unanswered. My messages were replied by ai. Repetitive, polite messages that did nothing to help us. In the end, the security officer of the building helped us. Many thanks to him! He saved our day! The ac in the master bedroom wasn't working. We ended up not sleeping in the master bedroom. We booked level 15 and got level 12 instead. Management kept insisting level 12 was booked under my name even though i have provided the screenshot of my booking showing level 15. No hand-wash was provided as well. All in, if I were to turn a blind eye to the above, I might book again. I love its location, affordable price and space. The view from the 12th floor is pretty too.

Had a pleasant stay at Austin Regency by MWM. The check-in process was smooth and straightforward, and the unit was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a short getaway. The location is excellent, with plenty of food options, shopping malls, and attractions nearby in the Mount Austin area. The host was responsive and provided clear instructions throughout the stay. Overall, it was a convenient and enjoyable experience. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Johor Bahru and would consider staying here again in the future.

I really loved this hotel. It's comfortable and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was cozy and well-equipped, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable I slept right through the night. The cleaning staff tidied the room meticulously every day, keeping it spotless. The hotel staff were professional and polite, making me feel right at home. I'd recommend it for its location, facilities, and overall experience – it was a fantastic stay.

I had a great stay at Fives Hotel DNP. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, making it a relaxing place to unwind. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Honestly, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced in my life. First of all, the bed is unbelievably hard — it feels more like sleeping on a wooden board than a mattress. On top of that, the air conditioning is extremely noisy, making it almost impossible to fall asleep or stay asleep throughout the night. What made it even worse is the pillows. They are excessively hard and uncomfortably high, causing serious neck discomfort. I genuinely do not understand how any guest is expected to get a proper rest under these conditions. I even called the front desk to request a different pillow, but was told that all pillows are the same and cannot be changed. This kind of response is completely unacceptable for any hotel that claims to provide comfort and service. Overall, this stay was a terrible experience. I will definitely not return, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values a good night’s sleep. ------------------------------- Saya sangat kecewa dengan pengalaman menginap di hotel ini.
