My stay at A Coral Reefs Resort from 21–23 March started off acceptable, but what happened after check-out was deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s professionalism and integrity.
After I had already left the property and arrived at the airport, I received a call accusing me of being involved in a missing RM1200 reported by three foreign guests. This accusation was based solely on a vague CCTV clip showing me sitting in the lobby and putting something into my pocket.
Let me be absolutely clear: such an allegation, made without concrete evidence, is irresponsible and unacceptable.
The hotel’s account of the incident was inconsistent and unreliable. I was first told the money was left on a table, and later it was claimed to be inside a pair of pants. The inability to establish even the most basic facts seriously calls into question the credibility of the entire claim.
Even more concerning is the timeline. If the alleged incident took place on 21 March, why was I only contacted on 23 March, after I had already checked out and reached the airport? This delay reflects either poor internal handling or a lack of proper investigation.
The CCTV clip provided was incomplete and unclear. It merely shows me placing my own personal belongings (my phone and medicated oil) into my pocket. There is absolutely no evidence that I handled or took any cash.
Relying on such selective and inconclusive footage to imply wrongdoing is not only unprofessional, but also unfairly damaging to a guest’s reputation.
We have formally requested the full CCTV footage to ensure transparency and proper verification of facts. Failure to provide complete and unedited recordings will only further undermine the credibility of this accusation.
If this matter is not handled appropriately, we will not hesitate to escalate it through formal complaint channels.
Guests should be aware that without clear evidence, this establishment is willing to cast suspicion based on assumptions rather than facts.

ZoriMI had a wonderful stay at The Bayou Hotel and would definitely come back again.
The location is excellent. Pantai Tengah Beach is only about a 7-minute walk away and Pantai Cenang can be reached in around 15 minutes on foot. Every Night are there Fireshows. Grab rides were also easy to get whenever needed.
What stood out the most was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and assisted with my luggage. Throughout my stay, I always felt comfortable, valued, and genuinely welcome.
The room was beautiful, clean(they cleaned everyday) and very quiet. I also loved the pool area and the lovely views. Every morning, two complimentary bottles of water were provided and upon arrival I received a nice welcome snack set. The room amenities were excellent as well, including toothbrushes, a razor with shaving cream and many other thoughtful essentials.
I also tried the food at the hotel and really enjoyed it. In addition, complimentary drinks were offered, which was a very nice touch.
The only minor issue was that the shower water was more lukewarm than hot. However, considering the warm weather in Langkawi, this was not a problem for me at all.
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. The hotel offers a wonderful atmosphere, excellent service and great value for money. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The grounds are well-kept, but not very cozy. It was sparsely populated, the pool was small and green, and our child really wanted to splash around in the pool. We'd chosen a room with a pool, but we didn't get to use it. The location is good, close to the aquarium and Chenang Square. There's an excellent warung nearby; we only ate there, and people we met recommended it, and we often met there. The hotel is okay for 1-2 nights, but nothing more.

Globetrotting.DeeIf you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life this is an amazing place to unwind. They offer a small fenced house which is spacious with patio and large room and a working desk.
The internet is super fast in the lobby around 750mb, can be a little slower in the last rooms but on an average internet was super fast.
The bathroom is open with curtains but there are doors and locks and high fence for privacy. This bothered some guests when I read reviews but it’s just fine.
Facilities are good and service also. There is an honest snack bar for late night snacks and prices are as in regular shops.
Breakfast choices are plenty which is quite nice and you can have breakfast next to the beach.
Although dinner is also served I didn’t try it but reviews were good.
The hotel is next to the beach so it’s refreshing with several sun loungers and beach towels provided.z
Overall it was a fantastic stay with calm and quiet atmosphere.
If you want to relax this is an ideal place. Grab to the nearest beach and shopping mall is approx 10 RM. Airport is 5 mins away.

Location - a bit remote from the hustle and bustle of Langkawi. No restaurant on site. Limited eating places which are at least a 30 mins walk away with no designated foothpath so you have to walk on the edge of the road. The hotel staff recommended not to walk far after dark as there may dogs barking at strangers. If you have your own transport then it should not be a problem or you could use Grab to get around instead of walking. If you want seclusion, it is a perfect place for a bit of peace and quiet which is what I enjoyed about this hotel.
Service - Excellent from all the staff who are very helpful and obliging about your requests. I had to ask the cleaning staff to get rid of the ants crawling on the terrace in front of the room and they quickly attended to it. Ants will be attracted if you happen to spill any food or drink on the terrace whilst eating out on the terrace and this is to be expected.
Facilities are limited to Tour booking, a communal sitting area in the garden, hot and cold water from about 4 machines situated around the resort for use by all the guests whenever they want to make a hot drink or need some cold water. No Gym, No Swimming pool, no on site Restaurant b.elivered to your room.
Cleanliness - Rooms are not cleaned daily but on request. You can request new Towels when you need them and these will be provided. Your bin has to be put out for the cleaning staff to take it away or you can drop off the rubbish in the large bin located nearby. I was not aware of this so had to ask about it.
Summary - For me it was a very plesant and peaceful stay to unwind which is what I wanted so I extended my stay for a further 2 days. I found the green space offerred by the garden to be a nice change from the urban environment of other hotels. Thanks to all the staff for their help and attentiveness to the requirements of the guests.

Favinash ModiHonestly at first I was contemplating to book this hotel after reading the negative reviews. But I would say my stay was a good experience. The rooms were spacious, clean & facilities was top notch too. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with variety of foods & was available for vegetarian too. I enjoyed my stay here for 3 Nights & it was perfect. The receptionist counter was helpful too. And I went during school holidays & it was public holiday too. The hotel was fully booked & was maintained well too. Looks like they have improved a lot after the complaints by others. I would highly recommend to stay at this hotel because it's very convenient & middle of everything. Only problem is parking but this is just minor issue, everything else was good. Highly recommended to stay here

My stay at Langkapuri Inn didn’t quite live up to my expectations, to be honest. The room was definitely spacious, but the interior felt rather basic and could be improved. Adding simple furniture, such as a couch, would make the space more comfortable. The washroom, in particular, could benefit from some renovation.
That said, the rooftop area is a nice highlight — it’s a relaxing spot to unwind at night, and they even screen movies there, which creates a chill atmosphere. The location is also convenient. It’s an easy walk to Pantai Cenang, and there are plenty of food options nearby.
Overall, while the facilities could use some upgrading, the location and rooftop vibe are definite plus points.

This hotel was the most pleasant surprise of our entire trip to Malaysia. From check-in to check-out, the staff were incredibly warm and helpful throughout. The hotel has two floors; the second floor mainly houses the lobby, where you can order free drinks, which was a huge plus! There are also three adorable cats roaming around. Every morning, the hotel provides a complimentary special breakfast in the lobby, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into it. The lobby also offers games like Uno, playing cards, and building blocks to enjoy with friends, and there's a pool table near the bar. While the room's style was a bit on the darker side, it had a great design, and the bathroom was very spacious. I'd definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Langkawi~

Lanxiao。The location is okay, about a 15-minute walk from Eagle Square and Billion Duty Free Supermarket (Langkawi). The hygiene was average, and the in-room facilities felt a bit outdated. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive and didn't really suit my taste, but my mom quite liked it. The front desk service was good, and the room was cleaned daily with toiletries replenished.

Its a nice resort tucked away in between Cenang and Kuah town… the entire resort is furnished with Ikea furniture and fittings so if you are a fan of Ikea you would feel right at home. There are generally 2 type of accommodation, 1 villa style with 2 bedroom, ensuite bathroom, living room, kitchen, garden access to the pool and a private doorstep car park, this unit can sleep up to 8 people according to the hotel. Another type of room is a standard hotel room style with direct pool access.
