The owner was very concise and straight to the point, highlighting all the key information. The hotel is located near the market and has its own backyard that can fit about ten cars. Coles and McDonald's are a twenty-minute walk away, and there's a Chinese restaurant right across the street. It's also very close to the port.

Receptionist is very helpful and friendly, making check in a breeze. The facilities are not too bad, however, unfortunately, I was placed above an inconsiderate, loud and messy individual which marred the experience even though I requested for a bottom bunk. Location is amazing, a very walkable city. Downside is there is no public transportation to the airport.

It's low season. I saw only 2 groups of guests (2 people per group) including mine during our stay. We occupied the best room type (2-bedroom) with kitchenette, hot shower, heater in the dining room, TV, heater to the bedding which is a hearty touch in such a cold area. It can accommodate 7 to 8 people in the room. Very quiet, we only heard waves at the beach which's at the opposite side of the main road about the front of our house. I read many negative comments on the male host (Scott?) before our stay, but our actual experience is that he's ok, we didn't feel anything bad about him. He is kind to advise us the best location to watch stars and southern lights. The worst thing that we must mention is the poor quality of water which is brownish yellow. So we dared not use the tap water for cooking or drinking. This is very undesirable.

The room is a bit small, but perfectly fine for a solo traveler. The downside is that it's not very Type-C friendly; you'll need to go to the lobby to charge your devices. On the plus side, you don't need to bring a power adapter, and regular charging cables work fine inside the capsule. Clean towels are available for pickup daily between 8 and 10 AM. The location is excellent, with easy access to Salamanca Market and the bus station, and the nearest supermarket is just a few minutes' walk away. The owner speaks Chinese, so you can call them if you need to store your luggage.

The room was very tidy and clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. However, the front desk initially charged a 10-dollar fee. After checking out, we were informed that this 10 dollars could not be refunded because we had consumed the chocolate and mineral water from the mini-fridge.

I recently stayed at the Deloraine Hotel due to an incident in the Devonport CBD, which led me to find accommodation in the area. This hotel offered very affordable rates. I booked a room for one person on the same day, and although the facilities weren't the newest, they were well-maintained and clean. The shared bathroom was particularly tidy and spacious. The kitchen area was also quite nice, providing an opportunity to greet and chat with other guests. The only downside was some noise at night, possibly due to trains passing nearby. Overall, the quality and service were well worth the price.

The room was still very clean. Although a little old, the room was small and compact, and felt comfortable. The girls at the front desk were beautiful and enthusiastic. I didn't speak English very well, but they served patiently and the communication was interesting and happy. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful environment and very quiet streets. Except for the loud sound of motor vehicles outside the window in the early morning, everything else was very good. The transportation was also convenient. It was more than ten minutes' walk from the city center. It was a pleasant stay! If I come next time, I hope to stay here again.

Formby Hotel provides a decent stay with a convenient location. However, it would be nice if they offered a buffet-style breakfast. The rooms could also be a bit cleaner with a fresher scent. Additionally, there were no staff present during my stay, which was a bit inconvenient. If the price were a little lower, it would be perfect.
