XXingzhetageTraveling to Guangzhou for a marathon with my husband and my elderly mother, this place was absolutely perfect. It felt a bit like a homestay, complete with a fridge and a washing machine, which was incredibly convenient for us marathon runners since we had so many clothes to wash after the race. They have family rooms, and the price is actually more affordable than a standard room at most other places. It's also very close to the subway station, making it easy to get to the competition early in the morning. Popular attractions like Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Guangxiao Temple are within walking distance. If you don't want to venture far, there are plenty of dining options downstairs. Uncle Jiu's Roast Goose at the alley entrance offers various simple yet tasty meals, and just around the corner on Jiefang Middle Road, next to the Hui Min School, there's a breakfast spot with a wide selection.
Here’s a tip for getting to the hotel from the subway station: Head towards Exit A of the subway station and enter the underground shopping street. Find 'Street 7', walk straight to the end, and take elevator #6 up to the 18th floor. Exit the elevator, cross the garden, and you'll find the hotel's front desk. If you still can't find it, just give the hotel a call. When I called for directions, the lady at the front desk said, 'You've worked hard,' which was so warm and welcoming.
P.S. One of the photos is taken from our room window, with Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall visible in the distance.
