GGuest UserUsing the National Day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, I went to Shijiazhuang, the last provincial capital city I hadn't been to, and chose this hotel and stayed for three nights. This hotel is in a moderate location, convenient to find food around, and close to the subway station; the room is clean and tidy, dry and wet separation, and comfortable to live!

JJC_CJFacilities: This is a ski-in/ski-out apartment, right on the slopes. Super convenient. Cleanliness: The room was very clean. The disposable toiletries were simple but complete. Environment: Parking is easy right outside the unit, and the charging station is also very close. No anxiety for electric car owners. Service: The ski pass discount was excellent, even cheaper than booking it myself on other platforms. I had a great time skiing at Genting and Wanlong this trip.

GGuest UserIt's perfect for families with elderly members and children; it feels like home. The owners are very welcoming, and the wife is incredibly gentle and has an artistic flair. The courtyard is beautifully maintained, exuding a charming, artistic atmosphere. In the evenings, spring water boils around a bonfire, and everyone gathers around, sipping tea brewed by the owners and chatting contentedly. The children play hide-and-seek, swing on the swings, and watch the turtles and koi swimming in the pond. The kids especially love the incredibly good-natured Labrador Retriever; you can pet it freely without it getting angry. The rooms are also very clean, and they thoughtfully provide disposable toilet seat covers. We plan to go back in the fall.

RRudmer WigleI had an excellent stay at this guest house. The family that runs it is very friendly and very helpful. Not a lot of English is spoken, but don't let that deter you, it's a very welcome place and they'll take care of your needs. They can provide a lot of info on visiting the Wall and the location is just a hundred meters from the entry gate to the Jinshanling Wall. Even though it's still a few 100 meters walking after that, this is the closest you can stay in case you want to get on the wall for sunrise. Dinner was very tasty. I would definitely come back!

GGuest UserSimilar - perfect - review for the other booking we made for September. As mentioned, friendly owner upgraded us to the suite (3 rooms + living room + kitchen) for 2 nights, then we went to the rooms we had booked initially, as another family had booked the suite. Photos are of 1 of the rooms in the suite, with attached garden, but upstairs isn't too different (4 rooms, all brand-new). Everything is very clean, as advertised. Owners do speak some English, so no problem communicating (anyway, my wife, daughters and sister-in-law speak Chinese so it wouldn't have been a problem). Owner also arranged for a car to bring us to the various entrances, and the train station the last day, so it was all very smooth, we only had to climb the Great Wall, which was gorgeous (we knew Jinshanling is one of the most beautiful sections). We look forward to coming back, at a different time of the year (end of winter or end of autumn), so we look forward to coming back again... and tasting your cooking too ! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable !!!

Mr Alan and team has been so kind and accomodating to my request, from helping to pick us up at train station during peak time, right throughout our stay, until we checked out. Because the plane arrived at the airport at 10:30 in the evening, it was already more than 11 o'clock to carry the luggage out to the hotel. When I woke up, I found that it was almost 11 o'clock the next day. I hurried to wash and eat. I forgot to take photos of the interior of the room. However, I will come to Shijiazhuang next month. I will go to the airport at night in the future. This is the best choice. It is not far from the ancient city of Zhengding. It costs three yuan to take the bus 🚍 156 at the airport. BBig FheezohI'm a business tourist from the USA, stayed at this hotel almost 2 weeks and they all made me feel at home. This hotel excels in customer service...and I don't say that lightly. I've stayed in almost 12 different hotels in my extensive travels across China and in general, hotel personnel attitudes tend to be cold, formal and impersonal. But staff at this hotel....from front desk, to restaurant and cleaning staff are very personable, warm and friendly. The ladies at the front desk are super sweet, kind, friendly and helpful. The lady that checked me in was very nice. Another front desk lady (she told me not to mention her name) went out of her way to spend hours on the phone and online to help me resolve some serious online order logistics issues because I don't speak Chinese. If I was looking for a Chinese wife, I woulda sly slid a wedding ring on her finger before she knows what hit her 😜😂 I sure 'nuff enjoyed my stay....and heck yeah I'll be back!!!

GGuest UserThe hostel is super trendy! Walking in, I had to make sure I was at the right place because the reception is a cosy bar! The staff did not speak English but we overcame the language barriers using WeChat. Everyone is very friendly and patient! Even the dog called 由由! The cubicle beds are more luxurious than other hostels I stayed at. They are spacious and provide almost complete privacy. I also received slippers, so it was extra cosy! The bathroom can be improved because without shower curtain even the toilet gets wet, but it is spacious enough to keep your clothes dry. This hostel is suitable for longer stays as well, especially with friends because they have many activities and games at the hostel. Reception helps with the organisation of tours to the grasslands and many other trips as well (although these tours are fully in Chinese. So some Chinese language skills are recommended). If I ever return to Chengde, then I will stay there again!
