A decent Inn type of hotel that has clean bed, ensuite toilet and this good prices. They even provide breakfast which comprised of some dimsum and coffee from machine. It's great quick breakfast, altho you need to pay 10Ntd for boiled egg for bread. If you are coming from Main station esp. at night, this is one of the easiest inn to reach.

The editor's online conversation was very enthusiastic and sincere, but the male employee who received us on site had a blank expression 🫥 and no emotional introduction. I thought I was still in Taipei, but we asked enthusiastically and excitedly. Other than that, the overall environment was generally good. If you are afraid of noise, please be careful. The train is right next to you and will still come in and stop very late, and the sound will be amplified.

Had a fantastic stay! The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. The hotel's location near Taipei Main Station is super convenient, and it's really close to Eslite Bookstore and Zhongshan MRT Station. There are so many amenities right downstairs too, like a convenience store, KFC, breakfast shops, and bubble tea places – just perfect. Inside, the hotel was clean and bright. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay! The environment was spotless and tidy, and the common areas were cozy and welcoming. My bed was also very clean. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to help. The location is super convenient, with restaurants and public transport nearby. I met so many travelers from different places, and the atmosphere was relaxed and free-spirited. The room was spacious and clean, and opening the curtains revealed an unbeatable sea view – perfect for enjoying the scenery. The owner was incredibly helpful, providing us with all sorts of information about Kaohsiung and anything else we wanted to know. So kind! A truly perfect experience.

The room design is great, the breakfast is delicious, the landlady's service staff are friendly and provide all kinds of inquiries. The room is clean, tidy and comfortable. The hotel is also in a great location, very close to the beach.

After coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time. Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊 Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away. ⸻ ⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe. Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃. 🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy) Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here. If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️

After reading other reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. The pros are its excellent location, just a 5-7 minute walk to Alishan Railway Station. There's parking right in front, which is great for those driving. The breakfast restaurant they partner with is also really good! 👍👍👍 The downside is the poor soundproofing; you occasionally hear footsteps or people talking. However, since I was so tired, I fell asleep quickly, so it didn't bother me much. 🤣🤣🤣

Single room with shared bathroom. Amenities considered complete. However, poorer ventilation in the room and the washroom. Some bath area is bigger, first come first serve. Generally worth the price especialg weekdays. Slipper was provided and prompt response from counter personnel.

The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived late, so they left my key card at the front desk, and I checked in the next morning. The bunk beds in the room were a bit low, and while there were lockers, a 24-inch suitcase wouldn't fit inside.
