Good location near the main street of Hualien. Free parking next to the hotel. Minimal rooms - bed without a base, mattress only. Chairs in the room on the floor. Fair price.

It's about a 15-minute walk to the Good People Hostel, where you'll see many foreigners. There are also many convenient amenities nearby, making it easy to buy daily necessities or find meals. We welcome everyone to experience this unique accommodation. Thank you.

I had a room with a shower though a shared toilet - not a problem as the toilets were always clean and close to my room. The room felt spacious as it had the sofa area under the platform bed. The bed was comfortable and had lights/power sockets up at the platform. Even though there was no kitchen there was fridge/freezer, microwave and hot/cold water dispenser that can be used. There are tables and chairs in the common area.
As advertised it is basement with no windows , did not feel claustrophobic to me.
Points to consider:
- need to bring own towels or hire one
- There are steps that roll out to climb on the platform bed, it was very stable though I would have felt more stable if there was something to hold on to with my right hand
- no way to turn off main light while in the platform do either have to climb up in dark or climb up , turn on bed light then climb down to turn off main light then back up again.
Location: convenient to get so as direct line from Songshan airport to Xiamen station. 10 min walk to hotel. I used NYU hospital stop for getting around as it was closer. The hotel is just a couple mins walk from peace park which is a lovely place to sit and relax.

Brilliant hotel situated 3 minutes from the beach and at the bottom of the main street night market. Bus stop within a few minutes walk. Great discount price for scooter rentals. We were upgraded to balcony room without request. We had daily fresh towels and water and bins changed. No recycling options, all waste in one general bin which I didn't like. Water fountain on first floor. Would highly recommend staying here.
The room was simple and clean, very comfortable, and the staff were patient, friendly, and always smiling 😊. The shower had great water pressure, and showering included a massage effect, which was very relaxing. It's very close to the city center, making it convenient for buying souvenirs. The only downside was that the bathroom wasn't well-ventilated and had a musty smell during my two-night stay.

I really appreciated how close the hotel is from the station. Be prepared for Google Maps to list places in Chinese, not English.
I liked the room I rented because it had it’s own bathroom. The toilet was a bidet which was great!
I liked the rustic style of the hotel.
I found a hair and some stains in the sheets, but the room overall felt clean.
I really liked the location, too because I could walk to all the places I wanted to see!
I recommend staying here.

Excellent value for money! I originally booked a backpacker room, but the view downstairs was so beautiful that I paid extra to upgrade to a terrace room. The hotel is new and clean. The location seems far on the map, but there's a supermarket and convenience store a 5-minute walk to the left of the hotel – very convenient. Great value!

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the train station. The owner was incredibly friendly and, during check-in, enthusiastically shared recommendations for authentic Hualien eateries that locals frequent, even pointing out which restaurants had 'hidden' menu items. While checking in, I even met Hualien locals who were staying there for a holiday...

EEthanchanStrategically located at Taipei main station, the heartland of Taipei where all attractions can be gone to with ease.
Didn’t expect a lot from hostel. They can do daily cleaning. Disinfection when necessary and a good job done.
Breakfast is simple. Everyone loves it.
SsjenskaaVery cheap but definitely of good value. The rooms are spacious, just not that many amenities (but that’s totally ok for the price). The hotel is located next to the railway, but we didn’t have any problem sleeping.
SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card.
Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.
MM484188****The hotel rooms are spacious and well-appointed. However, most of the wooden floorboards creak when walked on, the pillows are a bit firm, and the duvet is quite thick. I stayed on the 23rd floor this time, and the view directly overlooking the harbor and sea was incredibly pleasant. The hotel is also conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from both the MRT and light rail stations.

AAnonymous UserThe room design is great, the breakfast is delicious, the landlady's service staff are friendly and provide all kinds of inquiries. The room is clean, tidy and comfortable. The hotel is also in a great location, very close to the beach.
NNguyen Do Nha UyenAfter coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time.
Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊
Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away.

⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen
Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe.
Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃.
🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden
This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy)
Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here.
If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️
GGuest UserRoom 210, a six-person room, felt a bit small, almost like it was converted from a two or four-person room. The entryway for six pairs of shoes was quite cramped. The room was next to the elevator, but noise wasn't really an issue. The bathroom was very narrow, and the sink was so small that I almost hit the mirror while washing my face. There was no separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. They provided one pair of plastic slippers and six pairs of paper slippers, but I'd recommend bringing your own for more comfort. The communal restroom was on the first floor, and the water dispenser was on the second. The room itself was clean and odorless, had a TV, but not many power outlets. A small hairdryer was provided. Breakfast was an all-you-can-eat buffet at a restaurant near 7-Eleven, and the cabbage was delicious 😋
PPaolo MedinaRoom is basic but it does the job. The location is fantastic. I don't mind the room itself as it serves its purpose. The restroom does no have a bidet on it. Overall, the rooms are okay for the price. Will definitley recommend
JjeetsExcellent location 10 minutes walk from taipei main station..common area is good with free coffee and tea 24 hours..easy check in process even if you come midnight or early morning..lots of good restaurant nearby plus family mart right in front ..mattress is too thin i guess and wash basin right in front of a bunk bed if you get a middle room which is annoying ..otherwise its a good hostel..👍
SSavingtimeThe toilets were not really the cleanest and it was such a small room that it was quiet uncomfortable aswell. The charging is only possible on the top bed with a long loading cable and you do have a light for your bed but you also have to put it in at that far off plug place so you cant use it because the light would disturb everyone. Also the beds are really noisy so each time anyone moves everyone hears it.
