Recommended by Lonely Planet, and after reading many reviews, I decided to give it a try. My conclusion is that you can experience it for one night before deciding whether to extend your stay. Firstly, the Tibetan-style guesthouse experience is fantastic. The rooftop is great for sunbathing and enjoying the view. The room has some clever design features, including radiators and electric blankets, making it more comfortable than some fancy but impractical air-conditioned rooms, especially in autumn and winter. The downsides are that the taps seem to have very little hot water, only returning to normal very late. Also, the lack of diffused heating can cause insomnia (caution advised for those prone to altitude sickness). The hotel is located in Barkhor Street, about a 15-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. Backpackers should consider their travel needs before booking.

Honestly, it's absolutely fantastic. Especially the rooftop night view. There's a Labrador at the hotel who's 'on duty' – basically, he plays with guests. The owner is really kind; he adopted a stray puppy and treated its leg injury. He also gave us tips on what to look out for when buying yak jerky.

It is a very clean and comfortable small courtyard. I can lie on the bed in the single room on the second floor and take a nap while looking at the blue sky and white clouds in the afternoon. In the evening, I can go out for a bite to eat and a walk. At night, I return to the inn to chat with some friends from all over the world and have a drink quietly. I come out just to relax for a while and then return to real life to continue working hard.

This time I came to Lhasa to live in the right place, the hotel is in a good location and the travel is super convenient. Definitely the best hotel in Nyalam. It's conveniently located right next to the county government building and has a parking lot with direct elevator access to the lobby. The rooms are clean, feature floor heating, a bathroom with wet/dry separation, and a standalone sink. However, the design and layout felt a bit impractical. Despite the spacious rooms, there isn't a proper desk or table to put things on. While the bathroom isn't small, the toilet is awkwardly squeezed into a corner, which would be very uncomfortable for taller or larger individuals, as you even have to push the shower's glass door outwards to make room. Additionally, there's no heater in the bathroom, and the hot water wasn't quite hot enough. The sink height is also awkwardly positioned, making it very inconvenient for anyone under 1.6 meters tall. Furthermore, I suggest the hotel improve its parking lot management. While there are plenty of spaces, some inconsiderate drivers, purely for their own convenience, park directly in the driveways, blocking properly parked cars from exiting.

It is an old hotel at the centre of the town. It was slack season and we were told breakfast was served only 7:30-8:00 coz there was only one group of tourists staying there. The shower was bad.

The hotel is very quiet, the rest is very good at night, the environment is also good, and the oxygen cylinder will be sent, recommended!
