Guest UserNo major issues, just a bit small. It's right next to a Starbucks and very close to Kobe Sannomiya, including the airport bus stop. Daimaru department store is also nearby, making it super convenient for dining, entertainment, and shopping. The breakfast is quite basic, so you might want to try some local food outside instead.

jhbennyThe location is great, just a 7 to 10-minute walk from Sannomiya in the city center. Breakfast at Matsuya next door to the hotel offered four good options. Most importantly, the price was very reasonable, and the room size was decent for a solo traveler. Overall, it's a good accommodation choice in Kobe.
Ctrip's hotel navigation was slightly off, taking me to the back entrance, but it's actually right on the main street, and the location is excellent.

This hotel is quite close to JR Sannomiya, Hankyu Department Store, and the bus stop for Kansai Airport, though you'll need to cross a couple of traffic lights. It's a bit further from the bus stop where you arrive from Kansai Airport in Kobe and the bus stop for Arima Onsen, but overall it's acceptable, as Kobe is small and walking with luggage isn't a problem. Montbell and Patagonia are just a 2-minute walk away. It's an older hotel, but the exterior is very grand. The foreign front desk staff speak excellent English. You can store your luggage on the day of check-out and also before check-in. For under 300 [currency, e.g., Yen/CNY] without breakfast, it's fantastic value for money for a one-night stay.

We used this hotel as a base for our trip to Amagasaki. It was close to the station and had all the necessary amenities, so we had a very comfortable stay.
It was a good memory to travel with my family.
Access to Hanshin Amagasaki was just a short bus ride away, so there were no problems.
The hotel staff were also very friendly.
As is common in hotels, it was very dry, but the air purifier provided was clean and we used it without hesitation.

Perfect quiet onsen resort to unwind and relax. The kaiseki dinner was a highlight and buffet breakfast offered a great variety. Onsen is not too big, not crowded during our stay but probably will if it gets busy. The room was a decent size with good air conditioning and being away from the busy streets made for a peaceful stay. The only downside was the bathtub leaked whenever we showered. Free parking is available, though it’s located underneath the property so it’s best to drop off your bags first if you have a lot of luggage.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is fantastic, right above Sannomiya Station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The high-floor view is also stunning, and there's even a small massage chair which is a nice touch to unwind. Aside from the room being a bit small, I have no other complaints.

ShadoWofAlex357A good ryokan. The room was large and comfortable, and the staff were polite.
Even though the hotel is very old (you can feel it in places), it's very clean and cozy.
The koi on the terrace are a bit of a mixed bag:
The koi are beautiful, but they look scared and have very little space. I didn't get any aesthetic pleasure from them – I was more worried.
Pros:
- Amazing service
- Very atmospheric room
- Fantastic kaiseki dinner
- Good breakfast
- A pass is provided for all local onsens (you'll need to pay a symbolic 400 yen per visit to the onsens, but there are no restrictions on how many onsens you can visit, and you can even visit them for a couple of hours after check-out).
Cons:
- No smoking in the room or on the room's terrace (this is probably because their Gonzaemon hotel, where you *could* smoke, burned down nearby).
- The air conditioner only heats the main room; the other rooms (hallway, bathroom, toilet) are very cold.
- The hot tub is very small (it's photographed in a way that makes it look bigger).
- The convenience store (combini) is very far away.
- There are shared hot springs and a private bath in the adjacent building (you need to book in advance, and the last entry is at 11 PM).
- The yukatas are rather simple compared to other local ryokans.

Guest UserThe ideal hotel experience… really I feel like a princess!
Everything is so nice and well thought out, even in the economy room, there are nightgowns and slippers and even a shoe shine kit, they even provide a 3-type charger in the room. The beds are perfectly comfortable. The bath is so deep and relaxing, and the shampoo and conditioner are really nice quality! There are even vending and ice machines on every floor, I recommend to pair a cold drink with your bath. The view looks onto the Flower Road and it’s very nice.
The breakfast is amazing, everything is delicious and very well thought out. The omelet cooked by hand and the cake of the day were the highlights, there is also a very nice salad bar. I recommend the rose hip tea to pair with your breakfast, it’s refreshing and doesn’t have too much sugar.
The hotel is also only 2 minutes walk from the Takarazuka Grand Stage, we were able to have a relaxing breakfast, leave our luggage in the lockers near reception, and then stroll over for the 11am performance.

We had a great 1 night stay at this hotel!
This was a wonderful experience! Although we only spent 1 night here, as this was meant to be an overnight stop between cities in our travel road trip, this left such a good impression on us, that we would like to come back to Akashi just to stay in this hotel again.
The architecture and the hotel design is very cool, 50's kind of vibe, but it's new of course.
The hotel has a club lounge where we could unwind after the drive with complimentary snacks and drinks, including alcohol, and all was free and unlimited.
The room was super spacious and designed nicely, with a huge hot tube jacuzzi, and since we took the ocean view room, the view overlooking the ocean and bridge was just breath-taking 👌
The breakfast was just right, and they totally accommodated my meal requests and accomplished to have a very good result...
5 stars here and I would totally want to come back!

This hotel is quite good. Its prime location in the Arima Onsen resort area is a major draw. A significant highlight is the hotel's own onsen, featuring the unique 'Kinsen' (Gold Spring) and 'Ginsen' (Silver Spring) waters, which are a rare find elsewhere. Additionally, the hotel has a swimming pool, with free access for children, adding to its overall value. Perched on a hilltop, it offers fantastic panoramic views. While some facilities might be a bit dated, the overall experience was very pleasant, and it offers excellent value for money. I would happily return to this hotel given the chance. The buffet breakfast was satisfactory. A thoughtful touch is their arranged shuttle service for guests departing at 7 PM. Finally, the Japanese staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, which is definitely worth commending.
