GGuest UserThe shared kitchen is a big advantage for families and adds to the overall travel experience. The self-service check-in is convenient, and detailed guidance on how to find the house was provided in advance. A small grocery store can be found within a 10-minute walk.
I came across some negative comments about the hostel after booking and felt a bit worried. However, it turned out to be a nice place to stay — it's not a 5-star hotel, after all. Free Wi-Fi is available, and the passcode can be found on a noticeboard.
LLishBWe arrived later afternoon Andy received us with biscuits what a warm welcome. It has a homely feel with old school locking key, had a fish supper which compliments to the chef Peter was fabulous, great dinner atmosphere with other guests at restaurant and bar/lounge.
Spacious clean room, quality linen and warm enough one minus next door guy snored through our walls (not hotel's fault).
The hot breakfast was served to order which is fab as it gets to you hot and fresh also avoiding waste and dry dull food. So keep it up guys. And keep getting everyone up early enough.
GGuest UserWell equipped room if you’re looking to be self catering. The welcome was anything but friendly - we sincerely wondered what it was we’d said or not said. Arrived at the wrong moment obviously. The evening meal was nothing to ring home about. Really was the only sad example of fast food - low class mutton dressed up as lamb - in the whole two weeks we spent in Wales, England and Scotland. Definitely would never eat there again. Lack of hospitality practice. Sad really because the site itself is gorgeous.
SSarah0405The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the bus terminal. When I first checked in, I told the reception about the inconvenience of my roommate listening to loud music on the speaker, and they quickly changed my room, and the new room was very nice. If you are coming to Inverness by Flixbus, I highly recommend staying at this hostel.
GGuest UserVery nice place to stay and relax! Having a small kitchenette to cook is an added bonus! Very clean interior and everything feels like well maintained by the pod owner! Not to mention about the amazing views right in front of our pod! Thank you Owner Collin for the wonderful stay!
GGuest UserGreat place to stay! Very cozy and right next to the music shop on Church Street, so really central.
Comfortable bed and really great shower. Have to say it was lovely to have shampoo and conditioner provided that wasn’t like washing up liquid. Would happily stay there again.
AAnonymous UserWe arrived a little later and had already checked in, but the aunt was very good and was still waiting for us, and the hotel environment was very good, there was a kitchen, a lounge, and free parking. Staying here in the morning, you can see the mountains and lakes, very good. When you come, it is recommended to buy some food in the supermarket on the road. It is not convenient to buy food here.
IIgnite_Your_FireI was unfortunate that my work changed my leave less than 24hrs after i booked
When i asked to changed dates or get a refund i was refused
A shame as i would have easily visited in a month as now planned just a change of date
Instead i have a bad taste in my mouth
GGuest UserJames and his wife Sandra are very interesting folk who have travelled in India extensively. They are tuned in to what a backpacker needs and appreciates
