I had a truly fantastic stay! The women's bathroom on the first floor has everything you could need, and the cotton swabs were especially useful. Getting water and ice was super convenient, and the washing machine and dryer were easy to use. The hotel staff (an older gentleman and woman) were also very prompt with cleaning; the bathroom sinks were always spotless. When I left for my bus at 6 AM, I already saw a gentleman cleaning the public areas. The Nankai Rapid Express is right next door, so getting to the airport in the morning was a breeze – you just step out and hop on the airport train. The Nankai Rapid Express is incredibly convenient. The hotel is also near Dobutsuen-mae Station, which makes getting around very easy. Even after a tiring evening exploring Namba, walking back to the hotel (about 2km) felt quick. As a solo female traveler to Japan, staying here felt very convenient and safe. I noticed some people exaggerating about this area being a 'poor' neighborhood, but the Japanese streets are very clean, and the hotel opens right onto a busy main road with plenty of people coming and going, so there's absolutely nothing to worry about. Some of the reviews I read earlier were really alarmist. If you're on a budget, staying here in a small room by yourself is incredibly comfortable! If I get the chance, I'll definitely come back. If you walk uphill from the hotel to the main intersection, there's a supermarket in the basement of a shopping mall that offers 50% off groceries in the evening – very affordable and delicious, great value for money! I highly recommend checking that out. Kura Sushi and Sushiro in Japan are also delicious 😋. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Shin-Imamiya South Gate exit!

Everything felt great! There were a lot of international travelers around, I assume. I stumbled into a street full of Izakayas while looking for a place to eat – it was quite novel. I might not have adapted well to that street in an unfamiliar environment, but overall, it was excellent! It's very close to Dobutsuen-mae Station, the room was clean, and there was enough space for luggage. Just a heads up, there's no comb, so remember to bring your own.

This hotel is in a great location, very close to Shin-Imamiya Station, which makes getting around super convenient. The room was clean and tidy, and it even had air conditioning and a fridge, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were exceptionally nice and patiently explained everything I needed to know.

Right next to Shin-Imamiya subway station, so getting around is incredibly convenient. The front desk staff rotate, with two people on duty at a time, including locals, Chinese, Koreans, and Indians. There's a women's shower on the 4th floor, men's showers on the 6th, and a men's bathhouse and microwave on the 10th. Downstairs, there are convenience stores, pharmacies, and places to eat nearby. The room was super small, but quite clean, and they provided towels and plastic slippers. Because it's close to the train tracks, there's a bit of noise. Plus, there's some noise from motorbikes speeding by. I stayed for 3 days, and there was hardly any noise from other guests.

This was my first time staying at the Osaka Rocks Hotel, and I spent two nights in a female dorm room on the 4th floor. There are 20 beds on this floor, and the room rate included a complimentary breakfast each day (two slices of bread and coffee/tea). The hotel is conveniently located near Exit 23 of Honmachi Subway Station, about a 300-meter walk. There are three supermarkets nearby, numerous convenience stores, and various chain fast-food restaurants like McDonald's, Matsuya, Sukiya, Yayoi-ken, and CoCo Ichibanya Curry, making both transportation and daily life very convenient. The front desk staff were patient, friendly, and provided excellent service. They even offered a Chinese check-in guide, which was incredibly helpful for someone like me who doesn't speak English or Japanese. Luggage storage is free on both check-in and check-out days. The 2nd and 4th floors are female-only, and you need your room card to access the elevator, ensuring privacy and safety. The bunk beds are spacious, equipped with a bedside lamp and a ventilation fan, and there are power outlets at both the head and foot of the bed. The bedding is soft and comfortable. Each floor has two shower rooms, two toilets, and three washbasins. The water pressure in the showers is strong, and the environment is clean and tidy. The hotel provides free slippers, towels, bath towels, bath mats, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, cotton swabs, body lotion, and hair dryers. In the lobby on the first floor, there's complimentary coffee and tea available from 3 PM to 10 PM. Personal items like toothbrushes and combs can be purchased at the front desk. What I particularly liked was the storage area directly opposite each bed, which includes two hangers and a small safe, making it very convenient to access items and pack luggage. This is a hostel with excellent value for money. After checking out today, I'm heading to Kyoto by the Sea, Amanohashidate, and Ine Funaya. I'll be returning to stay here again in a few days to officially kick off my cherry blossom tour in the Kansai region.

Imano Osaka Shinsaibashi Hostel is a gem for solo travelers. The room was clean and comfortable, just what you need after a full day exploring. Breakfast was a nice surprise—healthy plus unlimited drinks, which is always a win. Location is super convenient, just a short walk to the train station and surrounded by konbinis for quick bites anytime. Everything felt easy and hassle-free here. If you’re traveling alone and want something practical, cozy, and well-located, this place hits the mark.

✨ Acro Capsule Hotel (Japan) 🇯🇵 My first time staying in a capsule hotel, and honestly, I was more impressed than I expected! 📍 Location: Amazing! It’s very close to Dotonbori—just a few minutes’ walk to food, shopping, and nightlife. Also near train stations, so getting around is super convenient. 🛏 Capsule Room: I thought it would be very small, but it’s actually more spacious than expected. I could stretch out comfortably. There’s decent privacy with a curtain, plus a power outlet and personal light. 🧼 Cleanliness: Highly rated! The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Amenities are provided, including towels and a hair dryer. 👩💼 Staff: Friendly, helpful, and able to communicate in English, which makes everything much easier. 👍 Pros: - Great value for money, perfect for budget travelers - Excellent central location - Secure system with lockers for your belongings ⚠️ Cons: - If you get an upper capsule, climbing up and down can be a bit inconvenient (though it’s slightly cheaper than the lower one) - Some noise is unavoidable since it’s a shared space - It can feel a bit warm or stuffy at times 💬 Overall: Perfect for solo travelers or anyone who wants to try the capsule hotel experience in Japan. If you don’t mind limited personal space, it’s definitely worth it!

THE GOOD PART: The hostel meets all the requirements, it's close to the food court, it's clean, the bathroom is clean too (people respect the rules), and you can leave your luggage afterward! THE BAD: is that talking to customer service is like talking to nobody! From the moment I made the reservation, I requested the bottom bunk because I have serious meniscus problems, something they never read. I sent them a message the day before arriving to confirm my request, and they said I could have it because it was in the order of reservations! I asked if I could change it the next day, and they still refused! I really didn't like that at all.

The hotel is located right near Shinsaibashi, making it quite easy to find. The location is excellent, and the facilities are comprehensive. There's a laundry room on every floor, and the male and female floors are separate, requiring an elevator password for access, which adds to the safety.

AAekapope YottoIf you’re looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, this seaside inn in a small coastal town in Japan is a perfect choice. Nestled right along the shoreline, the view from the room was absolutely breathtaking—especially at sunrise, when the sky turns into a canvas of soft pastel colors reflected on the calm sea.

JJoe SnuffyThe room we got was a double futon on the east room upstair, as we love the traditional Japanese style. The small space has all the convenient with shared space in common area, small kitchen, bathroom and washer and dryer in the same room. Everything were tidy and functionally used all the space avail. Great water pressure and temp for the shower. The host thought of everything and provided every information avail for us tourist to use. Distance is not too far from Rinku-town station. Only cons (out of everyone control) the stair leading to the station has no elevator, which will be challenging for people with large suitcase. We are light traveler, which is not too bad for our case. Overall, great little space and affordable, short ride to Kansai Airport and save time traveling to the airport, which is a great plus since security check in at Kansai may take up to 90 mins to get through.

GGuest UserOverall, the hotel's facilities and amenities are decent, but there's a subtle discrimination against Chinese guests. I'm usually quite easygoing, and my first seven days of an 8-day trip to Japan were great. However, this hotel was an exception. I booked three months in advance, and at a higher price than what it would have cost to book a day or two prior. Despite there being other vacant rooms, the staff assigned me the lowest-tier room at the very end of the hallway. Meanwhile, a couple of Japanese guests who arrived after me were given rooms on higher floors or in more central locations. Not to mention, my window overlooked a fenced-off construction site, and there was even clutter piled up right outside my door. This definitely warrants a negative review.

BBonus TawanThe hotel is dated but very clean. Everything is well functioned. I stayed there one night before flying back home and it was worth staying. A big supermarket is near the train station which is 5 minutes walking distance. If the room is available, you don't need to wait until 3 pm.

AAnonymous UserIt was close to Rinku Town Station and it was convenient because I had a morning flight. It felt like I was at my grandma's house, which was a nostalgic feeling. Some parts are a little old, but it was clean and there were no problems with the stay. This time, the room was on the second floor, but the stairs were narrow and it was a bit difficult to get my large suitcase up and down. I'll add this to my requests next time.

GGuest UserThis is a very traditional Japanese hotel. A little distance from the city. But because the location happened to be able to cooperate with where I was on business, I chose this one. Overall, all aspects are above the standard. Although it doesn't look as new as a modern hotel, it feels very comfortable to live. The male clerk who received me was the son of the proprietress. The English was very good, so I didn't know Japanese and didn't need to worry about communication at all. I heard him say that this hotel has been open for a very long time, and I forgot whether it has been more than a hundred years. But anyway, I am very impressed that this type of hotel can continue to maintain and carry forward Japanese tradition. I think if you want to experience the human touch of a traditional Japanese hotel, I highly recommend this hotel.
