I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Macau multiple times, and it used to be consistently excellent. I always felt it offered great value for money, primarily because I trust IHG's management, ensuring cleanliness, and the location is incredibly convenient. For someone without overly high demands, it's definitely a recommended choice. However, this stay felt like the hotel has started cutting corners. Many amenities are no longer provided: no cotton swabs, no charging cables, and even the IHG Rewards welcome drink was gone. Plus, I felt a bit misled. It was my mistake for not reading the booking details carefully and selecting a 'random room' type. After a concert, I checked in quite late and asked for a twin room, only to be told none were available. They then offered me ”the best king room in the entire hotel”! What I got was just a room with an extra two-seater sofa 😅😅😅, and a bathroom where you had to step into the tub just to shower. 😂😂😂 I hope the hotel sees picture four and addresses the issues.

Arrived at around midnight and the hotel felt like a maze while looking for the main lobby from the shuttle bay. Despite the frustration, things changed when I met Jonathan at the reception. Not only was he all smiles, he felt very authentic in his concern as he gave me options for my room, dining places in case hungry etc. And he was right! Good I took note of everything he said because it was all quite helpful during my stay. Thank you, Jonathan!

Staying at the Rio Hotel in Macau was an absolutely fantastic experience! The French palace-style decor is incredibly elegant, with gilded carvings and a giant crystal chandelier in the lobby that's perfect for photos. The location is superb, right in the heart of the NAPE district. It's a short walk to the Lotus Square and the Grand Prix Museum, and there's a bus stop right outside, making it super convenient to get to Taipa and the Border Gate. The rooms have just been renovated and are spacious, clean, and offer amazing natural light. The bedding is so soft, I slept soundly all night. The facilities are excellent, including a heated pool, gym, and the fantastic Grand Orbit buffet, which offers Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisine – even locals love it here. The service is incredibly thoughtful, with a 24-hour front desk and free luggage storage. The staff are warm and professional. It offers incredible value for money; for the same price, the comfort level is definitely top-notch. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Macau!

Stepping into the lobby, I was immediately dazzled by the blingy crystal chandeliers! The service staff were not only handsome but also incredibly friendly. Our 'fireworks view' room offered an expansive view; we could lie on the soft mattress, watch TV, and enjoy the tranquil lake scenery outside. In the afternoon, we went downstairs for dinner, then my friend and I bought some beers. We chatted away while sipping our drinks, and the atmosphere became even more magical when the Macau Tower lit up at night. I'd definitely pay for this night view again; my friend and I were both very satisfied! (P.s. A deposit is required upon check-in, and you might have to wait a while for the elevator during peak hours, so I recommend planning your trips accordingly.)

This was great, truly great. But when was this from? It's not available anymore. Now there's just a lot of 'has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has, has,' (meaning it's gone and replaced with nothing specific or new options).

I've stayed at The Star Tower before, and this time I tried The Celebrity Tower. The room was larger and the facilities were better than at The Star Tower. Guests who want to ride the Figure 8 Ferris Wheel still have to pay, though. The hotel service was excellent. They brought fresh fruit to the room every day, and provided pillow mist, hand cream, and unlimited bottled water. The mini-bar snacks and drinks were complimentary. I particularly enjoyed the TWG tea and Pu'er tea bags. All in all, I still really love Macau, and I love this hotel.

After booking, I tried to contact the hotel multiple times without success; no one responded to my requests. Finally, Ctrip helped me communicate with the hotel the day before our trip. Initially, I was concerned about renovation smells in the Bond Tower and asked to be moved to the Banyan Tower. Ctrip informed me that as of April 2026, only the Bond Tower was open, which I accepted. Then, I requested to switch our king room to a twin room, and the hotel said it would cost an additional 90+ RMB, which I also agreed to. Many online reviews mention free room upgrades, but honestly, don't expect any of that anymore. I had also mentioned it was our 10th wedding anniversary, and while they didn't upgrade our room, they did give us a small cake. However, it was clearly an oversight as it said 'Happy Birthday' – very perfunctory. Furthermore, during check-in, halfway through the process, a South Asian supervisor-like staff member suddenly came over and, with a disdainful look, told us we needed to pay extra. I was thinking, hadn't Ctrip already clarified this, and hadn't we agreed to pay? Why did she act as if we were unwilling to pay and deserved her contempt? This was the first time I'd ever had such an uncomfortable check-in experience in Macau. The hotel's facilities and design are undeniably exquisite and beautiful. Although the room was small, the Bond Tower didn't have the strong renovation smell that some online reviews mentioned, which was a relief. The hotel also provided Eiffel Tower tickets, which was a pleasant surprise. After returning to the room in the evening, I noticed there was no turndown service provided, nor was the room tidied up a second time. The service was a bit lacking. Also, there were no size options for children's bathrobes; my 130cm, 80-catty (approx. 40kg) son couldn't wear theirs. The service staff and front desk employees had poor English proficiency. The only thing that truly impressed me was the heated swimming pool. Located on the 3rd floor, it offered great views, with comfortable loungers, lemon water, and towels readily available by the pool. The water temperature was a very comfortable 36 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for swimming even in winter, which was excellent. Overall, you can stay at this hotel, but don't have high expectations for the service.

The hotel facilities are very new, and the garden on the third floor is beautifully designed and a pleasure to look at. The shuttle bus is also very convenient, and the hotel room card allows for priority boarding. Breakfast is at the Grand Buffet, which is almost the largest buffet restaurant in Macau with a wide variety of options. This time, I wasn't able to upgrade to a garden view room, which would have offered a distant view of Macau Airport. It's very suitable for families, as they provide a free extra fold-out bed next to the sofa. I would choose to stay here again next time.

The facilities are a bit old, but the location is great. After clearing customs, I just followed the navigation and walked there. The room isn't big, but it has all the amenities, which is really good. To experience Macanese culture, I even went for dim sum early in the morning.

This time, I made a last-minute booking at Holiday Inn Macau. During check-in, Mr. Wang at the front desk was professional and efficient. After understanding my situation, he proactively upgraded me to an executive floor suite. He wasn't overtly enthusiastic, but his attention to detail made me feel genuinely valued. It happened to be the fourth day of the ***** New Year, and in the morning, the hotel had a lion dance and a 'God of Wealth' performance. The atmosphere was lively but not chaotic – a nice, ceremonial touch. The executive floor was relatively quiet, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay overall. What truly left an impression on me was what happened afterward. After checking out, I realized I had left my ring in the room, which naturally made me anxious. Upon contacting the hotel, the housekeeping manager quickly helped confirm its location and retrieve it. The entire communication process was efficient, and the sense of reassurance brought by such professionalism was more important than any physical amenity.

GGuest UserThis hotel smells lovely, and the staff provide excellent service. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you're not a gambler. There are plenty of food options downstairs, and you can even catch a slight sea view from the 12th floor. Plus, there's a shuttle bus service to the port.

GGuest UserThe room was a bit old, but the hygiene was good. There's a skybridge directly to Galaxy Macau, and it's just across the road from the Galaxy Diamond Lobby. After a show at the Galaxy Arena, it's about a 15-minute walk back to the hotel. It's also very convenient to take the light rail from the airport, and you get some nice views along the way.

JJiujiuvickyI chose the right hotel for my trip to Macau with my mom! [Strong] The location is very close to the border gate, and the hotel offers a free shuttle bus which makes getting around super convenient. The room was exceptionally clean, and the soundproofing was excellent. The bed was just the right firmness, so I slept really well. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect, and the service details were incredibly thoughtful! Satisfied, so satisfied, super satisfied! [Fireworks]

JJiafeiaichiniangaoOh my goodness, this hotel is absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff are all incredibly nice and accommodating, always ready to help and very friendly towards children. They even give you hand cream before bed, and everything in the mini-bar except alcoholic drinks is complimentary – there are even instant noodles, which my kids loved! The semi-buffet breakfast is also wonderful. I've stayed at The Londoner and Four Seasons in Macau before, and this time I tried Morpheus and St. Regis. I have to say, I highly recommend The Londoner and Morpheus; I'll definitely choose these two again next time. Of course, I'd also like to try other hotels, haha. And a big shout-out to Yí Lóng Hè at Morpheus – the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and for my birthday, they even gave me longevity buns and a pen with the Yí Lóng Hè logo. This was the most comfortable stay! I do have one small suggestion though: it would be even better if the customized birthday room key card also included the birth date.

JJayJay1I booked a King Room with an ocean view. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The minibar items were complimentary, except for the premium bottled water and wine (though no wine was provided in the room). A deposit of MOP 1,000 was required at check-in, which was fully refunded upon checkout. The hotel also offered free shuttle buses to major hotels and key departure points across Macau. The concierge, Charles, was particularly helpful in advising us on the correct shuttle bus number to reach our intended destination.

NNichengbaixiaobaiI booked this for my parents for 4 nights, and they said it was excellent. The hotel upgraded them to a suite, which they estimated was at least 120 square meters – much more luxurious than the room they originally booked. They really felt the 'decadence and luxury' of Macau and were very satisfied with their trip. I chose this hotel for their in-depth Macau experience because it's new and has convenient public transport nearby. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Macau!

JJW23Environment: This is truly Macau's only beachfront estate. The hotel opens right onto Hac Sa Beach, with panoramic sea views from all sides. Stepping onto the balcony, you're greeted by the endless ocean, and you can practically taste the South China Sea in every breath. Hygiene: Top-notch hygiene. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Service: Perfect for family trips. Kids can play with children from all over the world at the 2nd-floor Club, which is a truly unique experience.
