5-Star Hotels in Guizhou, China

When traveling, I am used to chain five-star hotels. I have never booked a homestay before, so I am inevitably nervous. At first, I did not have a clear destination when planning my trip to Guizhou. I was very moved when I saw this castle in the sky by accident, so I decided to go to Dong Village. I can only say that what you see is what you get. What I must evaluate is the service, which exceeded my expectations. As soon as Ctrip was booked, a housekeeper added WeChat and continued to track and inform me of the weather and the May Day activities in the village for half a month before the holiday. Because I arrived in Congyang early in the morning from the Guiyang high-speed rail, the housekeeper arranged a car to pick me up, and the driver was also very considerate. The locals were simple and honest. While waiting for the room in the lobby, juice and coffee were available, and all the staff were enthusiastic and meticulous. The homestay is the best location in the central area of ​​Dong Village, quiet in the bustling city. The two of us booked the 520 castle in the sky that we saw at first sight. It occupies the best viewing position, overlooking the mountains, and feeling relaxed and happy. The room is clean, comfortable, and smart, which should be the top configuration in Dong Village. Yaoyu in the evening, rice noodles for breakfast, considerate greetings, I feel that the management team has a positive and upward career enthusiasm, which makes me and my teammates quite unforgettable. What I want to say is that now all kinds of homestays are springing up like mushrooms after rain. In addition to hardware, the software can also impress people's hearts. Such a pleasant surprise in the hotel, especially the blues at night, it was breathtaking! It rained at night, and we were surprised to see two waterfalls, which is really a piece of pure land. The hotel also provides tea and other activities, which is also very interesting. Special thanks to Yang Yang and Xiao Qin in the restaurant, they are really nice. My mother and I fell asleep by the pool, and they covered us with blankets to prevent us from catching a cold. Knowing that we were leaving for Guiyang Airport at 2 pm, they cooked noodles for us in case we were hungry on the way. It made my mother and I feel very warm. I stayed in many good hotels in Guizhou, but this is the first time I have encountered such a humane waiter.

I booked 2 rooms for my family of 5, with one child. We stayed in the deluxe twin room which has been renovated earlier this year/last year. The room and bathroom are spacious , bright and clean (except for the doorway inside the room near the closet ) with good view. The staff quality is of high standard. They all are professional and friendly (from the bell boy, the front desk to the servers in the restaurant). The executive lounge is on 53/f and it’s cozy. The view there is nice. The lounge provides a range of snacks with very professional hotel service. The breakfast also offers a variety of food and drinks. We enjoyed it! Regarding the location, there’re a shopping mall (1 to 2 min walk) and many convenient stores nearby. It’s also within walking distance to the tourist spot Jia shou Lou (甲秀樓.). However, it’s is not too close to the subway.

Manager Chen at the front desk was really good. He took the initiative to provide us with travel guides around the area, and gave us a lot of practical travel tips. He also introduced us to delicious and fun places in detail. Although the hotel is a bit old, the hygiene is still good. The view in the room is really amazing, and the facilities are complete. In particular, the bed is very soft and comfortable, and the sleep quality is excellent. It feels like you are sinking into it. It's just that there are a lot of people on holidays, and you have to queue for breakfast.

The hotel is close to the east entrance of Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area, just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel has a beautiful and quiet environment. There is also a snack street around, which is convenient. The service of Butler No. 2 is particularly warm, and there are his own summary of Fanjing Mountain guides and precautions.

This is definitely a homestay worth choosing in Zhenyuan. The location of the hotel is excellent, facing Zhusheng Bridge and Qinglong Cave Scenic Area outside the window, and turning left is the historical district, which is very convenient for traveling. The decoration layout of the public areas and guest rooms on the first floor of the hotel is reasonable, the facilities are complete, the environment is clean, the colors are soft, and it is warm and pleasant. The breakfast is hygienic, rich and delicious. The elevator runs smoothly, is convenient to go up and down, and is especially friendly to elderly guests. The service is polite, and all the services promised in the introduction of the hotel are fulfilled. I hope to continue to work hard to improve the quality of afternoon tea, appropriately increase the variety of snacks, and add functions such as buttocks washing and drying to the existing smart flush toilet.

The room was not clean, the corners of the bed were covered in dust... The front desk staff was not good (when checking in, I asked the front desk for 2 room cards, but the front desk immediately said: If the room card is lost, you have to pay 50 yuan). I booked online and checked out at 14:00, and I used Ctrip points to add value to the check-out, but the front desk called us at 11:30 and asked us to check out. The surrounding environment of the hotel is not bad

We were really satisfied with the room design – it was both Instagrammable and comfortable, and the view was absolutely lovely! The location of the hotel is quite good too – just around a 12-minute walk to the metro or bus, which made getting around the city very convenient. Special thanks to the captain during breakfast; his service was truly top-notch. He consistently checked on guests with a warm smile, which made our mornings even better. Also, a big shoutout to Rabby for kindly assisting us when we asked about taking the bus around the city – really helpful! There was just one issue we encountered during our stay. On the first day, we noticed that the hair conditioner couldn’t be pumped out and the hair dryer wasn’t functioning well. After we reported it, the team responded quickly by providing bottled conditioner and a replacement hair dryer – which we appreciated. However, a few days later, housekeeping took away the replacement conditioner bottles, and we were left without any again. When we brought it up a second time, the team finally discovered that the original conditioner pump was broken and fixed it immediately. While we’re happy with how quickly the staff responded, we do feel that for a 5-star hotel, it’s important to ensure that room amenities are checked thoroughly before guests check in. Overall, we still had a great experience and appreciate the excellent service from the team!

The breakfast is very delicious. The restaurant seats are spacious and not crowded at all. There are many kinds of dishes, and each one is delicious! The housekeeper Lulu is warm and attentive. She contacted us one day in advance and customized the meal service for our itinerary! Whether it is answering questions, travel guides, or takeaways, the delivery of daily necessities, the response speed is very fast, and the dispatch staff is also very fast! The environmental design is very artistic, quiet and elegant, and provides good privacy. We decided to stay with this hotel because of the highly positive reviews. We did make a right choice as our overall experience was so great. The hotel is newly renovated, the room is spacious, bright, clean and the mattress and pillows are super comfy to sleep with (this is very important for us as we don’t usually sleep well when travelling). We had a breezed morning jog along the river right in front of the hotel. The experience was really good and relax. The host provided white glove services such as VIP transport to/from train station and tourist spots. Special thanks to the staffs who helped to send our leftover baggage to train station so we didn’t miss the train.  Bonus point: We witnessed the beautiful moment of sunset at their roof top (see the attached photo). This will definitely be our first choice hotel in our next visit in Libo.
