5-Star Hotels in Jilin, China

Although the room was a bit old, the cleanliness and service were still excellent. The butler checked in with us daily, provided weather updates and information about hotel activities. They were especially attentive to safety during rainy weather and readily provided anything we needed. When our child accidentally got a bump while playing outside, they immediately sent up iodine after a phone call. The breakfast spread was plentiful and suitable for both seniors and children. It started as early as 6:30 AM, which was perfect for visiting Tianchi Lake, as many other hotels only start serving breakfast after 7 AM. Going to Tianchi early in the morning greatly increases your chances of seeing the lake, and we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse. On the 17th, Tianchi closed and stopped admissions after 10 AM. The Wanda Realm Suite practically included access to all Wanda resort activities. If you visited the water park, the hotel provided a laundry room with dryers, as well as disinfectant and laundry detergent. Just be aware that there can be long queues during peak times, so plan your schedule accordingly. Regarding Wanda perks: The cable car offered incredibly beautiful views (complimentary on first stay, unlimited rides on the same day), but it only operates on clear days. Other perks included the Wacool boat ride, a choice between the slide or luge, hot springs, and the water park. The boat rides and slides are also weather-dependent (clear days only), while grass-sliding is an additional charge. I recommend prioritizing the slide/luge queue first (children must be 12+ years old and over 155cm to ride alone; otherwise, an adult must accompany them) as the wait times can be very long. You can then do grass-sliding later (it has longer operating hours and no queues). The boat ride also has long queues. We didn't get to it in the afternoon/evening, but we managed to enjoy all the most exciting activities.

My stay at the Lanjing Hotel exceeded all expectations! The hotel is just a hundred meters from the North Scenic Area gate. Our dedicated butler, Li, provided incredibly attentive service and responded super fast throughout our stay. There's a natural volcanic hot spring right within the hotel grounds, so you can just head downstairs for a soak. They also have an exclusive channel to the scenic area, which is both convenient and hassle-free. The breakfast was plentiful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Definitely great value for money, I highly recommend it!

This time, I was traveling with friends, and after carefully reading reviews, I chose Sheraton. It lived up to its reputation for quality. To our pleasant surprise, all three rooms were upgraded! Our butler, Xiao Ying, demonstrated exceptional service from the moment we checked in at the front desk. She answered all our questions, and when there was a noise issue with the air conditioning in one room, she promptly arranged a room change. We're very grateful! The breakfast was extensive, and everyone loved the pickled vegetable and pork buns…

The room was incredibly spacious, which I really appreciated! Especially when the afternoon sun streamed in upon arrival, it felt wonderful. The small bed's mattress was a bit firm but perfectly fine for sleeping. The hot springs were very crowded, so soaking in the room's bathtub was a good alternative. The staff were all very welcoming. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it depends on your taste; you'll definitely get enough to eat. The only issue was the weak air conditioning in the breakfast area, though the room's AC was excellent. The coffee in the lobby was quite good, worth trying. Parking was convenient, with plenty of space right out front.

This month at work has been incredibly exhausting, so I wanted to find a place to really unwind for a couple of days. The first place that came to mind was the Swissotel at Huamei Holy Land. And sure enough, it's truly a place where I can relax. Compared to my first visit five years ago, the facilities are much more comprehensive now, with more activities and a wider selection of delicious food. What hasn't changed, though, is the tranquility of autumn in the northeast, and the beautiful scenery within the resort grounds. Also, Pig Tail Bay under the bridge seems even more beautiful than before. The staff are so discreet you barely notice them, yet everything is taken care of so well that you almost don't need them to be actively present. At least for me, I appreciate such thoughtful yet unobtrusive service. If I ever need a complete break and some self-reflection again, I'll definitely choose Huamei Holy Land.

The hotel does not seem to be a five-star hotel. I looked out the window and it was a torn tennis court. I surely did not expect to see something like this in a 5-star hotel. Also, I had breakfast for 3 days there and I ran out of the choices of food I wanted to eat. The choices were not that many obviously. Fortunately, the staff were helpful but they still need more attention in some small trivial manner like talking loudly in the distance with the guests in between. The room was well-designed though with good mattresses. The room cleaners were very courteous to us as well.

Our autumn trip to Changbai Mountain, staying at the Park Hyatt, far exceeded our expectations. For convenience, they upgraded us to a main building suite, which was clean, convenient, and comfortable. Special thanks to all the staff at the front desk and concierge! The front desk handled our check-in efficiently and calmly, patiently introducing the hotel facilities and local routes, and kindly reminding us of precautions for mountain outings. Their service was meticulous and gentle. The concierge department was even more impressive, proactively helping us with our luggage and thoughtfully recommending forest hiking and stream rafting routes. Any request we had was met with a swift, professional, and attentive response. The hotel is nestled in a forest, offering a quiet and elegant environment, and the rooms are comfortable. It was precisely because of the thoughtful service from the staff that our trip to Changbai Mountain was exceptionally pleasant. When we visit Changbai Mountain again, the Park Hyatt will still be our first choice, and I highly recommend it to friends planning a trip to Changbai Mountain.

This was my first time visiting Changbai Mountain, and choosing a hot spring hotel was absolutely the right decision! The hotel is conveniently located right at the North Mountain Gate (the old gate), just a 3-minute walk away. This gate is mainly open to hotel guests, so it's not crowded. Tickets need to be reserved 7 days in advance on the WeChat mini-program. The hotel front desk provides a paper voucher, and after entering the park at your reserved time, you take a shuttle directly to the transfer center. For the return journey, you depart from the new North Gate, and the hotel offers a shuttle service, making the overall travel experience very convenient! You can access the hot spring area directly from the hotel lobby and enjoy unlimited entry during your stay. Soaking in the hot springs after a hike is incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The Garden Restaurant on the first floor offers a buffet breakfast with a wide variety of dishes. Dinner is a mini-hotpot, and the set menus are great value for money. Enjoying a warm hotpot after a day of hiking is especially comforting! The hotel's back garden features a petting zoo area. The alpacas are adorably round, and the sika deer are very friendly and super cute! The stay included two complimentary activities: off-road vehicle and cable car sightseeing (at Heping Ski Resort) and adventure溯溪 (at Julong Volcanic Pumice Forest Cold Spring). Both experiences were excellent. You need to book these a day in advance. The hotel issues paper vouchers and arranges transportation. The scenery along the way is beautiful, we had a fantastic time and took many great photos.

The Jinhua Hotel is well-equipped and offers excellent service. Special thanks to Coco (TuTu) at the executive lounge who called me in advance to explain the benefits before I even checked in. The resort has a wide variety of activities, and its location is superb. I thoroughly enjoyed the mountain retreat atmosphere and had a comfortable stay. The commercial street right next to the hotel is also very convenient. Coco (TuTu) was incredibly attentive and enthusiastic, handling everything with great care! Thumbs up!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly across the river from the famous Floating Market and adjacent to People's Park. The lobby is grand, and you need to swipe your room card to access the guest floors. The breakfast restaurant on the 24th floor offers a wide variety of options, with fresh sushi and omelets made to order. They even have original and red date/longan flavored soy milk. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the cityscape of Yanji feels fantastic! 👍 The hotel owner is Korean, so there are many Korean tour groups – about six large groups during my stay. The room amenities are well thought out: the curtains automatically close when you leave and the power turns off, which helps maintain the room temperature. The toilet only flushes *after* you stand up. Why do I specifically mention this? Because on my road trips along the 331 highway in Northeast China last year and this year, some hotels had toilets that flushed when you sat down and again when you stood up, which felt unhygienic and wasteful. This hotel's equipment is properly adjusted from the start. The faucets are also extended; if you've done renovations, you'd know these extended spouts are specially chosen. The benefit is that when washing hands or clothes, the spout is centered in the sink, so you don't have to bend over awkwardly. The mattress is also comfortable; I didn't check the brand, but a mattress that feels this good would cost around 10,000 RMB for home use. The tatami mat is particularly noteworthy – perfectly fine for one person to sleep on. The entire room is simply and comfortably decorated. My two-day stay was pleasant and relaxing. When I checked out, the hotel manager even gave me a small gift. If the hotel wants to improve further, I think the quality of your bath products could be upgraded. The black packaging looks a bit low-end, and I preferred to use my own products because yours weren't appealing. Exiting the hotel, turn left and walk uphill for about 5 minutes, and you'll reach the North Gate of People's Park. The hotel's first-floor restaurant, Ban Dao Xue Niu (Peninsula Snow Beef), is worth trying, and you get a 10% discount with your room card.
