The hotel's location is super convenient, 10/10. As soon as you step out, you're at the pier, and all the tourist attractions are nearby. The airport bus also goes directly here. However, the carpet tends to be a bit dusty, and the shower pressure isn't strong enough. On the bright side, the staff's attitude is excellent, 10/10, making you feel right at home.

Location-wise, it's super convenient. You can walk to most of the downtown sightseeing spots for a city walk, and there are bus stops nearby. It's also easy to get to the pick-up points for various day tours. As for facilities, the rooms are generally clean and tidy. There's a coin-operated washer and dryer available. A little tip: if you're coming from overseas, bring your own laundry detergent, as it costs two dollars per wash here. Washing is four dollars, and drying is also four dollars. Inside the room, you'll find a microwave, hot water kettle, and a fridge. The gym is a bit small but sufficient for a quick workout. Breakfast is pretty standard Western fare. One thing to note: the beds are particularly soft. If you're sharing a king-size room with someone, make sure to emphasize that you need two duvets, otherwise, you'll have to get an extra blanket from the front desk. The staff are mostly friendly and communicate primarily in English. Overall, I'd still recommend it.

Very good stay in general. Around 10 minutes walk from all the day trip pick up locations (e.g. Brooke Street Pier). The facilities were amazing and the front desk staff members were all very supportive and helpful. Loved the welcome cookies!! The room was big and we received daily clean ups. We visited the pool and also utilised the gym during our stay as well - very good facilities. The bathroom wall was a bit think as we could vaguely hear people next door, but the room was completely fine - could not hear a thing. Would recommend to all types of travellers and will definitely stay again if we are visiting Hobart again!

Since other room types were fully booked, I ended up reserving a motel-style room in the annex building. The annex doesn't have an elevator and you have to walk down, which initially felt a bit eerie. However, I later found out the room had a window facing a courtyard, so it turned out to be okay. The facilities are quite basic and dated, but the water pressure is good and the price is relatively cheap. The best part is the free parking (parking on the second level is the most convenient).

This is also a chain hotel, usually translated as Best Western. The rooms are quite good, and there's even a small balcony. It's roughly equivalent to hotels like Lavande or Vienna in China. Avoid the restaurant, though. Picture 6 shows a medium-rare steak, and honestly, if you cut off the outer layer, it's edible. Given that, I don't think breakfast is worth trying.

Overall the location is good and the facilities is also good but one of the most disappointing for me is the wrong information given to me. The hotel ‘s arranged parking facilites is a good 10-15 mins work and daily rate is $37  As I called ahead via booking platform to speak to front office and was told that car park will be free or will not be charged I was very dissatisfied with the need to pay at the end . The hotel should put a clear information at the booking site as I will definitely factor in when I book

The hotel is located in the heart of the CBD. The rooms are fully equipped, and you can prepare a light meal. There are many shopping malls, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby. The beach is within walking distance, and you can visit the Salamanca Market on Saturdays.

I booked a twin room and stayed here twice. The first time, I was on the ground floor in a standard twin room. The facilities were complete, and while the room was small, it was very clean. There was no view from the window, just the ground floor platform. The second time, I was assigned a room on the 4th floor, with a view of the sky from the window. However, it was laid out for disabled access, and the bathroom flooded after a shower. Also, one of the 'twin beds' was actually a makeshift mattress, so one of the two adults didn't sleep well. When I asked to change rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked and no changes could be made, which I was quite unhappy about. On the positive side, the hotel has a scenic pool and sauna on the 5th floor, which is great!

The hotel is quite new and boasts a prime location in the city center, making it convenient to get anywhere. There are many Chinese restaurants nearby; I tried two, and both were delicious, plus I had a fantastic grilled fish. A Woolworths supermarket and an Asian grocery store are just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel staff are all very enthusiastic, indicating excellent management. Valet parking costs $40 per day. Do note that toiletries and slippers are not provided (this is common in most Australian hotels). The hotel breakfast is $30 per person, and the food quality is good (compared to other Australian hotels). There's a gentleman at the front desk who speaks Chinese, and all staff members have excellent service attitudes. The hotel was very busy, with quite a few Chinese guests staying. On the downside, there was no bottled water, which I found to be the case in several hotels I stayed at in Tasmania. Also, the shower in the room doesn't have a door, so you have to be careful when showering to avoid wetting the bathroom floor.

KKanchana KhamtaIf you have an early morning flight departing from Hobart Airport and do not have a car (for example, if you have already returned your rental car), I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Even though it is close to the airport, you may face serious transportation issues like the one I experienced. The hotel is located about 1.8 km from Hobart Airport. By car or taxi, it takes around 5 minutes. However, if you walk, Google Maps shows it takes approximately 25–30 minutes. On 13 December 2025 at around 5:00 PM, I asked the front desk staff to help me pre-book a taxi with 13CABS for the next morning, using my Australian local number from my eSIM. After the booking was completed, I received an SMS confirming my 13CABS request, including the pickup date and time, as well as a tracking link. On the morning of 14 December, I checked out very early at 5:45 AM. At that time, the front desk was closed, so I returned the key card at the counter. I then opened the tracking link from the SMS to check the taxi’s location. I could see a car on the map, but it appeared to be quite far away. I decided to wait. As the pickup time approached, I went outside to wait at the drop-off area, but no taxi arrived. I checked the tracking link again and found that the car was no longer coming. At 5:54 AM, I received another SMS from 13CABS saying: “Hi this is 13 CABS. We are sorry for the delay, we hope to have a vehicle to 1 Holyman, CAMBRIDGE shortly. Do you still require a taxi? Please reply Y/N.” I replied “Y” immediately. After waiting another five minutes with no further updates, I started to feel very anxious. At that point, I met a couple from Hong Kong who were experiencing the same issue—the taxi they had pre-booked also did not arrive. I then called the after-hours reception number provided by the hotel. The staff member was very helpful and advised me to contact 13CABS directly to make a new booking. When I called 13CABS, the operator made a new booking for me and sent another SMS confirmation. However, after waiting for quite a while, there was still no taxi. I asked the Hong Kong couple, and they told me their taxi was supposedly on the way. About five minutes later, a taxi finally stopped at the drop-off area. The couple checked with the driver—it was not their booked taxi. I then asked the driver, and it was not booked under my name either. However, the driver explained that he was waiting in the airport queue and had received a call from head office instructing him to pick up passengers from Mantra Hobart Airport and take them to Hobart Airport. In the end, both the Hong Kong couple and I shared that taxi. The driver charged me AUD 21 and charged the couple AUD 21 as well. In conclusion, staying here is risky if you have an early morning flight, even though the hotel is close to the airport. You may encounter serious issues arranging transportation in the early hours and risk missing your flight. That morning, while I was waiting at the drop-off area, I also saw a man walking from the hotel toward the airport, pulling his suitcase. Unfortunately, it was raining at the time, and the weather was cold, making the situation even worse.

GGuest UserWe had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the facilities were excellent — even better than some four-star hotels we’ve stayed in. We also had dinner at the hotel and it was absolutely delicious. The only small issue was that we could sometimes hear people talking in the hallway. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

GGuest UserThis beachfront cabin is right on Honeymoon Beach, offering stunning views. The hotel restaurant is also quite good. It's a 9-minute drive to the lighthouse boardwalk, and 6 minutes to the Sleepy Beach parking lot, from where it's a 10-minute walk down to the beach. Wineglass Bay parking is about a 10-minute drive, then it's a 40-minute walk to the lookout and over two hours to the beach.

GGuest UserIt is prefect to stay with children. The room is small, but it is super clean. We love the window in the roof and animals and fruit trees are around us. We picked some pears, and plums. We fed the chicken and ducks, sheeps, hourses, and cow. My daughter really love them!!! The staff in reception are super nice! They gave my daughter animal food many times and still giving us a welcomed face! Really appreciated that! Only one suggestion wanna make that there are only 1 washing machine and 1 dryer may not enough when some groups come. Thank you!

GGuest UserWe didn't notice that we needed to check in before 6pm. When we arrived at the hotel after the Cradle Mountain hike, it was just over ten minutes. At first, we thought we had found the wrong entrance to the reception (it was a regular hotel, not a B&B, so we didn't expect that we couldn't check in so early. The sun didn't set until 8pm). There were two staff members sitting at the reception counter (glass door, visible from the outside), and no matter how we knocked or gestured, they just shook their hands. There was a small iron box on the door that needed to be opened with the password given in the email, and there was a key inside. But there were several big words in my email: Unable to display the content of the email! There was no way, we called the hotel, but they didn't answer and transferred the call to voice, so we had to leave a message. Just when we were about to contact Ctrip, the people inside finally came out, opened the iron box, and gave us the key. How arrogant!!!

YYuchenThe hotel itself is very beautiful, great location as well. However the room feels very stuffy, the balcony is locked only a small window is left open and the screen window is incredibly dusty, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. Also the housekeeping is very unprofessional, she came straight in without even knocking the door around 9am while we are still sleeping, just saying hello when unlocking the door. Unhappy about that.
