QQingjiaowoxiaoyeAlthough Dongshan Longyue isn't officially star-rated, my overall stay far exceeded expectations. The hotel rooms were meticulously clean, and being able to smoke in the room was a really thoughtful touch! The interior was tidy and odor-free, and both the bedding and bathroom facilities were spotless and hygienic, perfectly meeting all basic daily living needs.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its superb location. It's situated right inside the Longmen Grottoes scenic area, just 200 meters from the grottoes entrance. There's no need to rush in the morning or spend time commuting to and from the site; you can reach the attractions with just a short walk, saving a significant amount of travel time. This is especially convenient for visitors specifically coming to explore the grottoes.
Star rating aside, the clean rooms combined with the unparalleled location made me feel like I was sharing a mountain with the Great Buddha.

LLong～～～Let me start with the basics. I've only visited Xin County twice, coincidentally both times in the same hotel and the same room. Opening the window, I was greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view of the Huanghe River! A stroll along the riverbank, with a gentle spring breeze, was a rare and delightful experience! A small bridge leads to Xin County Square, the heart of the county! After a busy day, you can drive along the Xihe River to experience its serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere, or cycle through the former capital of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area to pay homage to its heroes and reconnect with your roots!

XxynnerAlways excited to try new hotels in Puyang! Passed by this place because there's an EV charging point at a petrol station. I've stayed in the business version of this Biway chain of hotels at Hualong District and it was not bad so I decided to take a chance.
This hotel is the premium version of their business series and I'm glad to say that the interior is indeed premium. However it is considered small compared to other luxury premium level hotels in Puyang, but it is more convenient here so it is understandable.
Staff is very friendly and well trained even though our check in was rather late. I'm a foreigner so it's a little tricky but all's well and they've upgraded us too.
The room is smart so you can say ”Xiaodu Xiaomi” haha. The switches were intuitive so plus points to that!
I love the hotel amenities like the hair dryer was pretty superb, heating system in the room is super toasty too.
The beddings is really luxurious it's gotta be one of the best I've tried in China haha not an exaggeration.
The pooping toilet is separate from the bathing toilet, I like that because my husband's 💩 is really smelly hahahha.
Toilet seat is also heated and they provide a disposable toilet seat too.
Note that this hotel has an EV charging point but only 1 parking spot so that's very few.
Just a few suggestions to take it to the next level:
1. Toilet bowls could have a washing bidet.
2. There's veryyyyy slight hint of smoke smell but it is because my room isn't a non-smoking room. But I would suggest having differentiation of smoking and non-smoking rooms so sensitive folks like me would not smell it at all, or use a better ionic treatment.
3. The hotel should have more EV charging parking spots considering the large number of EVs in China.
4. TV apps are not paid so there's practically nothing much to watch. There are hotels with paid accounts so that's a bonus.
Overall no complaints and I look forward to staying again!

GGuest UserThe hotel is very new, only opened a month ago. The lobby has a tea-scented atmosphere and a BO sound system, so you can rest assured about your stay. The surrounding area is also very quiet. It's a good distance from Zhengzhou East Railway Station, about 6km away, a 20-minute taxi ride. Just make sure you make sure your ticket is for Zhengzhou East or Zhengzhou Station! I got to Zhengzhou East before realizing my ticket was for Zhengzhou Station 😂

This is a beautifully renovated homestay nestled right inside Luoyang's ancient old town. If you are looking for a place with local character, this is a wonderful choice, though there are a few practical things you should know before booking.
The Cons (Things to consider):
The Location/Access: Because it is located deep within a narrow alley of the old town, large cars and taxis cannot pick you up or drop you off right at the doorstep. You will need to roll your luggage for about 400 meters to the main road. 🧳
The Breakfast: They serve a very traditional Chinese breakfast consisting of millet porridge, fried dough sticks (youtiao), and vegetable steamed buns. While it tasted good, it was a bit salty, and the menu was exactly the same every single day without any variation.
The Pros (Why I still loved it):
The Room & Vibe: Our triple room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and the entire courtyard was beautifully decorated with a lot of taste and local charm.
The Hospitality: The owner and the staff were absolutely amazing—super enthusiastic, warm, and helpful throughout our stay! ❤️
The Prime Location: Being situated inside the old town means it is exceptionally convenient. You can easily walk to all the major historical sights and the vibrant Drum Tower (Gulou) Night Market for amazing street food. 🏮🍢
Overall, despite the minor inconveniences with luggage and the repetitive breakfast, the massive rooms, lovely aesthetic, and unbeatable location make it a fantastic base for exploring Luoyang!

GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay. The food is well prepared and delicious. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our boys were amazed at all the Kung Fu weapons on display. The staff were polite and helped us purchase tickets to the Kung Fu show and very friendly to our children. My only complaint is the black coffee was too weak and watered down. But given Chinese are not really coffee drinkers, this was a small problem and easy to forgive with all the other special things about this hotel. I would most certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it's also very close to the Tianbing Cold Drink Factory store. After we used up the two complimentary bottles of water on the first night, the staff proactively replenished an extra bottle the next day. Excellent service!

I recently stayed at the Atour Hotel (Zhengzhou East Railway Station) for a day and had a fantastic experience. If you are looking for a blend of comfort and convenience in Zhengzhou, this is the place to be.
Highlights of my stay:
Prime Location: The hotel’s proximity to the East Railway Station is unbeatable. It made my transit incredibly smooth and stress-free. it is only few minute walk to the high-speed rail station.
Top-Notch Facilities: I was impressed by the well-maintained gym and the free laundry room. Having access to a self-service laundry is a huge plus for travelers who want to refresh their wardrobe mid-trip.
Wonderful Staff: The team here is genuinely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome from the moment you check in.
Above and Beyond Service:
The standout moment of my trip was their flexibility with my schedule. My flight to Shanghai wasn’t until 8:00 PM, so I requested a late check-out. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff extended my stay until 4:00 PM at no extra charge. This kind gesture made a massive difference in my travel day, allowing me to rest before heading to the airport.
Final Verdict:
I really appreciate the hospitality shown by the Atour team. I will definitely stay here again whenever I find myself back in Zhengzhou!

GGuest UserLocated in the busiest commercial area, just steps away from Erqi Square and a food street, it's always bustling with people. I was initially worried about the noise at night, but to my surprise, it was very quiet. Breakfast is served in the revolving restaurant at the top. While revolving restaurants aren't exactly new, the breakfast spread is extensive, a great mix of Chinese and Western dishes, and even local specialties like 'liangchan' (tofu pudding + spicy soup, a combination some might not realize you can eat together!). The picture is an aerial view of the Erqi Memorial Tower, taken from the restaurant.
