I chose this hotel for my last night in Hohhot. I initially booked a room with a 120-inch screen for my child to watch TV, but then realized it had no window. The hotel staff were great; they upgraded my room for free and even gave us two complimentary breakfasts. The hotel itself is lovely, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. It's located right in the city center, which makes shopping and exploring super convenient, surrounded by bustling malls. I highly recommend it! Whatever we needed, they were always quick to respond. I'm truly impressed with the service at this price point.

Guest UserThe campsite in the northern part is probably the best one. If you want to experience a yurt, this is the place to do it, the scenery is much more beautiful than the one in Heishantou. You get sunsets, singing performances, bonfires, and a starry sky. Slippers, toiletries, and liquid mosquito repellent are all provided. The shower water is unstable; it's a trickle and fluctuates between hot and cold. Four bottles of water are provided, and you have to pay for any extra. Breakfast is enough to fill you up.

Guest UserThe hotel boasts high-end decor and excellent cleanliness, with a superb location right by the racecourse. It feels grand and impressive.
However, my stay wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. First, my room was quite a trek from the lobby, easily 50-60 meters away. Second, the pillows were all incredibly high; all four provided were the same, offering no softer alternative, which led to a restless night. Third, the toilet wasn't smart, and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed behind it, feeling a bit outdated. Fourth, the staff seemed accustomed to serving VIPs; for regular guests like us, they were rather cold and unresponsive. They'd only answer direct questions, and when I asked about breakfast, they didn't volunteer information about the hours or where it was served, which almost caused me to miss it. Most hotels serve until 10 AM, but here it's 9:30 AM.

Guest UserSheyi Tea Culture hotel was an amazing stay, definitely a must stay if visiting Hohhot!
Food & Drink 🫖
This hotel is also a tea house and it is a tea drinker’s dream! First the room a booked came with my own tea brewing equipment and a tea brewing table with an excellent view and comfortable seats! But that is just the beginning, as you head down to the main floor a fully stocked, beautiful tea house & cafe awaits you. Daily tea and even delicious milk tea is always available. Private table sets and outdoor seating is available too. The tea masters are skilled and attentive, which made all my tea drinking experiences fun and enjoyable! You can also purchase various tea and tea ware right in the tea house.
Location 📍
This hotel is perfectly located close to the near by Ancient Street, with many close by temples and shrines to visit. A craft street is close by and available all day, while a famous local food street opens up for colourful night time snacking in the evening. Many close by restaurants offering authentic local cuisine, I recommend reading the hotel’s recommendations as they were always great. If you need even more tea experience, there is a nearby tea wholesale market and many high end tea house in the area as well.
The Room 🛌
The room I stayed in had lots of space, was very clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable. Daily bathroom necessities are provided. High quality bedding, robes and slippers are waiting for you. High end bathroom equipment is installed, with hot water always available. Premium television is set up and Wifi connection always had high speeds. A beautiful kettle and tea set can be used to make tea with daily water and a welcome tea package provided.
Staff 👩⚕️
The staff were very king and helpful right from check in. Actually even before check in they were helping bring my luggage inside! They were patient with communication as I was a foreign visitor. They answered any and all questions I had. They recommended great tea and amazing restaurants! The staff were always available and always smiling! Such great people really made my stay a dream.
This was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in and I definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot! I will be back again for sure.

2PixelFew people, beautiful scenery, and family-friendly accommodations equal a perfect vacation! The stylishly designed guest rooms are scattered across the vast grasslands, offering exceptional privacy, allowing children to run freely without disturbing others. The rooms are comfortable, and every space is meticulously designed (sitting by the window, gazing at the grassy slopes and simply relaxing is a great way to unwind). We recommend waking up in the morning to watch the mist drift across the valley, hiking the nearby grassy slopes, enjoying the dairy products of herders, and stargazing by the campfire at night—this is the true meaning of ”wild luxury.”

First off, the location is truly excellent, a unique advantage. There's a hot spring hotel right next door where you can enjoy a soak. However, the overall management and service facilities are severely lacking! Let's start with the hygiene: urine stains on the toilet seat, hair everywhere you look, and debris falling from the ceiling when you turn on the 'starry sky' light – I honestly don't know what to say. Then there's the service; it feels like there's barely any service at all. For example, regarding the hot spring tickets included in the package, shouldn't you remind guests beforehand to bring their own swimsuits? (Mine cost over 300 yuan!) And for the volcano tickets, shouldn't you confirm guest information and redeem them in advance? (When I was ready to leave and went to the front desk for the tickets, they told me to buy them on the spot, then I had to provide my ID again and go to another ticket office to exchange them. This whole process took a good half hour!) I can accept your high prices, but at the very least, your service and hygiene should match. I hope you see this review and make improvements. Don't disappoint customers who've traveled so far to get here!

Guest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! The service, rooms, and breakfast were all impeccable. The breakfast, in particular, was amazing: the chef, in his crisp uniform, prepared dishes that were true works of art. The variety was extensive, the taste superb, and it was clear he had high standards for both ingredients and presentation.
I'd also like to give a special shout-out to the gentleman in the black uniform (who I assume was a manager) at breakfast. His friendly and professional demeanor made us feel very welcome.

Guest UserThe room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable, and the bed was also super comfy. The bathroom amenities were complete, and the bathroom itself, along with the bath towels and hand towels, were all very clean. My child also loved staying here and gave the hotel a high rating. The breakfast was rich and varied, and my child enjoyed it a lot.

I am a young Englishman on a 20 day solo self-drive road trip across northern Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. After my stay in Hulun Buir, I decided to drive down to Arxan for 2 nights exploring. I booked this stay based off of the other foreign guests' positive experience.
I arrived in the town late in the evening. The boss was waiting for me and was attentive and welcoming from the start.
The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Everything is provided and replaced when needed.
After hiking in the national park, I came back to the boss and his extended family making CNY preparations. Then I was invited to drink Chinese tea (Dian Hong) at their tea table. I was then welcomed to eat with the family, drink beer and eat until I was full. I was welcomed not just as a guest of theirs, but as a family friend.
In mid-winter, Aershan/Arxan is a quiet and cold place. I came as part of a long journey taking my rented 4x4 Tank 300 through the snow and ice on routes apart of the Hulun Buir Snow and Ice Festival. My journey was peaceful, solemn and isolated. The hospitality and warm welcome was exactly what I needed after my long drive alone and it is a memory I will take home to the UK with me.
I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially if you are travelling solo across this wilderness.
Thank you brother. I look forward to returning in the near future with my partner, and when my mandarin is better.

Driving through Hohhot, I initially booked a B&B in the old town. However, when I got there, traffic was terrible, and there was no parking available. I promptly canceled that reservation and headed to Hampton, which, as always, was a satisfying experience. The front desk staff was lovely and enthusiastically recommended nearby attractions. I'd definitely suggest this hotel to anyone visiting Hohhot for tourism or business.
