The hotel's prime location, just a short distance from the Lhasa Gonggar Airport, makes it an excellent choice for those with early flights or needing a quick stopover. The hotel itself is modern and well-kept, with a clean and stylish design. My room was spacious and comfortable, featuring contemporary furnishings and all the necessary amenities for a restful stay. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the room's soundproofing ensured a peaceful night's sleep despite the proximity to the airport. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay, although there were occasional language barriers. Nonetheless, they were always willing to assist and made an effort to accommodate my requests. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. One area where the hotel could improve is its dining options. While the breakfast buffet offered a decent variety of dishes, I found that the food could benefit from more freshness and variety, especially for those staying multiple nights. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was somewhat inconsistent, which might be a concern for business travelers needing reliable internet access. Overall, Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel is a solid option for travelers looking for a comfortable stay close to the airport. First off, the view from this room directly faces the Potala Palace, which is fantastic for photos. This is also why this room type is more expensive than others. The view is priceless, especially when it's the Potala! The night view is even more beautiful! You can just lie in your room and enjoy the scenery! The restaurant's view isn't as good as the room's for taking pictures. Secondly, I don't think the room's cleanliness is 5-star. When I entered, there was a puddle of water in the sofa area that the staff didn't immediately clean up. I wiped it myself with tissues. I believe that when choosing this room type, I pay close attention to details. So why did I give it 5 stars? The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast, and they were responsive on WeChat. Honestly, the details were quite problematic. For example, the welcome note mentioned postcards, but there weren't any initially. They were brought later, but without a pen. While they did fulfill my requests, in the service industry, details should be anticipated before the guest even asks. Finally, regarding the facilities, I could smell residual renovation odors in the room. There seems to be an issue with the drainage in the shower, as water overflowed into the vanity area. Overall, I'm satisfied, especially for younger travelers.

I was a bit worried about picking a bad hotel, but it turns out I had nothing to fear. The room was spacious enough and had great natural light. The bathroom was odor-free, and they provided a full set of toiletries. The price was also very reasonable, making it a great value for money when traveling. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and patient, and very efficient! I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

Choosing this hotel for my trip to Lhasa was absolutely the right decision; the overall experience was excellent from start to finish. I really must share this with anyone planning a visit to Lhasa. The hotel's location is truly exceptional, right in the heart of the city center. You can walk to Barkhor Street in just a few minutes. A short walk to the left takes you to the Potala Palace, and to the right, you'll quickly reach Jokhang Temple. It's incredibly convenient whether you want to go for morning prayers or explore during the day. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and authentic ******* restaurants, so you don't have to go far for snacks, local specialties, or a quick meal. You won't need to stress about planning your routes, which is perfect for first-time visitors to Lhasa. The hotel's overall ambiance is quiet and elegant, with a strong, minimalist ******* aesthetic. There's no noise or commotion. The guest rooms have excellent natural light and ventilation, and come equipped with 24-hour oxygen supply. After a long journey to a high-altitude area, staying here meant no discomfort from oxygen deprivation, and I slept exceptionally well. What surprised me most was the attention to cleanliness: the room was spotless, with no dust on the floor or windowsills, and the bedding was neat and soft. The bathroom, vanity, and shower area were dry and odor-free, and the towels and toiletries were neatly arranged. Even the nooks and crannies were perfectly cleaned. It's clear the cleaning staff put a lot of effort in, making the stay incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. Check-in and check-out were efficient and quick. They proactively offered helpful tips on local attractions and注意事项 (things to note) for pilgrimages. Any requests during my stay were responded to promptly and willingly, and they patiently answered all my questions. They even offered hot water and oxygen tanks. When I checked out, they thoughtfully presented me with a local specialty souvenir. Their demeanor was gentle and sincere, with no hint of perfunctoriness. Overall, the location, living environment, hygiene, and service attitude were all impeccable. It offers excellent value for money. As it's the Year of the Horse, I wish every traveler to Lhasa a smooth journey. If I come to Lhasa again, I will definitely choose this hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Lhasa!

It's close to Guo Street, making transportation very convenient. The only downside is that the oxygen supply wasn't as good as I expected; I woke up in the middle of the night with a headache.

The hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage. The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app. There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.

I have mixed feelings of this hotel. Maybe my own fault but I thought this hotel was associated with the more famous Intercontinental hotel brand. I felt a bit disappointed when I realised it wasn’t. The hotel was right at the foot of Mount Kailash which was the purpose of our trip however was disappointed as the hotel doesn’t have a great view of Kailash. I want to give positive comments as the hotel had a lot going for it, such as full body massage chair in the room, smart voice controls for the room but we didn’t use any of these. The cleanliness of the room was also lacking and the shower facilities was not as good as some other hotels we’ve experienced on our Tibet trip. We had a second a second night booked at this hotel but we decided to cancel and go somewhere else. Sorry but I can’t recommend this hotel.

Pros: The room facilities were relatively new, with a desk and office chair, a small sofa, and convenient amenities like a microwave. Aside from a tear in the carpet, the cleanliness was acceptable. The breakfast offered a good variety, though it was quite crowded. Cons: While one can't expect too much service at this price point and positioning, it's arguably the worst service in its class! Even budget-friendly chains like HUAZHU (Huazhu Group) feel lightyears ahead. Several points of dissatisfaction: Upon check-in, there was a queue, and three people behind the counter seemed to be struggling with something. I waited behind them for a while, and no one acknowledged a new guest had arrived or came over to help. After a long time, I saw someone move to the side, so I approached. Still, no one asked if I was checking in. I walked over and asked if the previous guest was finished, and only then, after being given a look that said 'What are you doing here?', did they start processing my check-in. After taking my ID, they immediately moved to a separate counter (a clearly distinct spot) without telling me to move there. I had to awkwardly move myself. They only provided basic breakfast times for my check-in information and didn't mention anything about the complimentary drinks included in my reservation, which I didn't need anyway so I didn't ask later. The window of my room faced a fence with cigarette butts and other trash scattered below. It was arguably worse than the interior of the room, but it was a basic room type, and a view wasn't a selling point, so I didn't pay too much attention. During check-out, after returning the room card, it took a moment to confirm. No one said 'please wait' or anything, so I just awkwardly stood there. As I left, I said 'thank you,' and was ignored without even a glance. It's clear that the staff here has almost no service awareness. Perhaps this hotel is very confident in its hardware and brand power and isn't too concerned about customer feelings and feedback. However, as a traveler, especially as the last hotel on a self-driving trip along the Sichuan-Tibet highway, it was very disappointing. Almost every other hotel on this trip, expensive or cheap, despite some flaws, had a far better service attitude than this one.

The room facilities were excellent, and free oxygen was provided at 8:00 PM. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and tasted quite good. The lobby reception staff were very helpful. The hotel's location was good, and taxis were readily available. It also had a courtyard, small garden, and pond, making for a beautiful environment. Thank you!
