I booked this hotel for my first and last day in Lhasa, and the service was absolutely fantastic! When I arrived, a security guard helped me with my luggage. On the day I left, a staff member saw I was in a hurry to catch my flight and helped carry my bags and saw me off. The hotel is clean and hygienic. Since it was my second time staying, the front desk小姐姐 (a polite way to refer to a female staff member) even upgraded me to an executive room when other rooms were available, which offered a view of the Potala Palace. The experience was truly amazing!

Pros: Hotel staff are friendly and the location is close to the main tourist district and the Potala Palace. There are restaurants available near the hotel. One thing was that I communicated with the front desk staff to not disturb me the next morning and that I will let them know when they could clean the room coz I was exhausted due to high altitude sickness and unable to sleep throughout the night, however, the cleaning staff banged on the door at 12 noon asking if they could clean the room. When I booked this hotel on Trip.com, it says also includes one afternoon tea per day, and I booked 9 nights. It turned out isn't true and was not told until I asked the front desk. The hotel staff only responded that in fact the afternoon tea has been cancelled since Dec 2025 and did not provide anything else. With this incident plus laundry only allows 5 pieces/day and doesn't wash inner wear like socks/underwear. I honestly feel that there are a lot more other choices at this price.

Staying in Lhasa! I don't want to leave!!!! You can even take photos with the Potala Palace right from the hotel!!!! It's truly stunning and perfect for pictures… Plus, they have 24-hour floor heating and nasal oxygen supply!! I checked in and was full of energy the next day!! The location is also super convenient, right inside Barkhor Street, just a 3-minute walk to Jokhang Temple!! The hotel also has a museum and a coffee shop!!! Every morning I woke up to a delicious and varied breakfast with fresh fruit provided by the hotel!! And free ******* clothing rentals and photography!! What's more, it's the 400-year-old former Nepalese Consulate, so it's incredibly rich in history!!! It's convenient for getting everywhere, I honestly can't find a single fault with it…

Staying at Dongmawa Homestay was definitely the best decision I made on this trip to Tibet! 🏨The location is fantastic! From the rooftop terrace, you can have a complete view of the Potala Palace at night. Having dinner or afternoon tea with friends on the terrace while enjoying the view was incredibly pleasant! The room amenities are comparable to a five-star hotel! It has a Dyson humidifier and hairdryer. There's also a washing machine with a dryer and a small refrigerator. The diffused oxygen supply helped me sleep soundly without worrying about altitude sickness. Their breakfast was absolutely amazing—so plentiful! The owner was warm and welcoming, the room was clean and cozy, and the Tibetan-style decor was full of delightful surprises. I felt comfortable and at ease during my stay, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lhasa!!

The room was great, and the front desk even upgraded me for free! The location is also excellent, very close to the Potala Palace. All the rooms are smart, which is really convenient, and there's a mini-fridge. You can even see the Potala Palace from the window! The laundry room also has a dryer, which is fantastic. Overall, a superb experience, I'll definitely stay here again!

Satisfactory aspects: The room was nice and had ethnic characteristics; the hotel's location was excellent (we had a travel companion with mobility issues); the service and communication were very satisfactory (there was a third-party system error with another platform regarding room extensions, but the front desk staff were very patient in communicating with them, and the receptionist, Yangji, provided excellent service; the overall service quality was also very good); the breakfast was delicious and we were very satisfied; the room cleaning was also satisfactory. -- The only unsatisfactory aspect was: the toothbrush bristles were shedding. After rinsing my mouth, 5 or 6 bristles got stuck between my teeth, and I had to stop and pull them out while rinsing. (Bringing your own toothbrush solved this problem.) -- Suggestion: If possible, if the hotel renovates again, it could add features catering to younger travelers (such as self-service laundry and a self-service bar). -- There are attractions downstairs, and you can walk to Namased Restaurant. It's conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get around. The attached pictures show nearby attractions and restaurants.

The hotel offers high-quality centralized diffused oxygen for 18 hours. The Thangka murals and frescoes are so well-maintained they look brand new, preserving a rich ethnic charm. The solid wood furniture and exquisite ******* decorations complement each other perfectly, showing meticulous attention to detail in every corner. The hotel is incredibly well-prepared for the plateau climate; not only do the rooms have 18-hour diffused oxygen, but also humidifiers and constant temperature underfloor heating. I didn't have to worry about altitude sickness or dryness at all, and I slept soundly every night in Lhasa. The service was simply impeccable. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, offering thoughtful advice on high-altitude travel during check-in and serving warm Rhodiola tea. The hotel also provides a complimentary ******* clothing experience and professional photography service. In the charming Tibetan-style courtyard, every photo turns out like a masterpiece. On Tuesday afternoons, you can even join 'A-Jia' (******* elder sister) to experience making 'tsampa' (a ******* staple food), which is a truly memorable activity.

The experience of staying at Verona Hotel this time was great. First of all, the hotel is in a very advantageous location, located in the city center, with convenient transportation, and surrounding attractions and shopping centers. Secondly, the hotel's service quality is very high. Xiaofang, the front desk staff, is warm and friendly, and the check-in and check-out procedures are very quick. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities and comfortable beds, providing a good rest environment. Particularly worth mentioning is the hotel's catering service. The breakfast is rich in variety, with fresh ingredients and authentic taste. The environment of the restaurant is also very elegant and comfortable. In addition, the hotel also provides a variety of special services, such as night view tours, special cars to the Potala Palace, Norbulingka, etc. The facilities are very complete, with medical oxygen concentrator humidifiers! Let us maintain a healthy lifestyle during the journey. Overall, this stay at Verona Hotel was a very pleasant experience. The tour guide arranged by the travel agency on the first floor is very good, and the explanation is wonderful! Both the hotel's hardware facilities and service quality have reached a high standard. We are very satisfied and look forward to staying again next time. Thank you Verona Hotel for providing us with such a high-quality accommodation experience!

AAnonymous User**Review of Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel** My stay at the Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel was quite pleasant and convenient, particularly for a traveler looking for comfort near the airport. The hotel's prime location, just a short distance from the Lhasa Gonggar Airport, makes it an excellent choice for those with early flights or needing a quick stopover. The hotel itself is modern and well-kept, with a clean and stylish design. My room was spacious and comfortable, featuring contemporary furnishings and all the necessary amenities for a restful stay. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the room's soundproofing ensured a peaceful night's sleep despite the proximity to the airport. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay, although there were occasional language barriers. Nonetheless, they were always willing to assist and made an effort to accommodate my requests. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. One area where the hotel could improve is its dining options. While the breakfast buffet offered a decent variety of dishes, I found that the food could benefit from more freshness and variety, especially for those staying multiple nights. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was somewhat inconsistent, which might be a concern for business travelers needing reliable internet access. Overall, Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel is a solid option for travelers looking for a comfortable stay close to the airport. While there are minor areas for improvement, the hotel's convenience, cleanliness, and friendly service make it a good choice for short stays or layovers. **Rating:** 4/5

JJia On The RoadOur 3-day stay in Lhasa was absolutely fantastic, especially traveling with my mom. The hotel's convenience, cleanliness, and excellent service really made our mother-daughter trip much more harmonious. - The location is incredibly convenient. It's about 1.5 kilometers to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and photo shoot spots, all easily walkable. We explored Lhasa entirely on foot during our stay. - They were well-prepared for altitude sickness. The room has an oxygen concentrator that can be used for diffusion or nasal cannula. On the first night, I foolishly took a shower and felt nauseous and dizzy in the middle of the night, doubting my existence. The butler came to help me with the oxygen concentrator in the middle of the night, and I finally got two hours of sleep after using oxygen until dawn. I searched for altitude sickness on Xiaohongshu, feeling like I was on the verge of needing a hospital. The front desk on the second floor has a pulse oximeter, and I felt relieved after seeing my reading was in the 80s. - I can't praise the butlers and front desk enough; their service was perfect! It wasn't the fake kind of luxury service you often find, but genuinely thoughtful and comfortable. - The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the Potala Palace, making breakfast a delightful experience.

GGuest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage. The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app. There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.

GGuest UserDiscover a hidden gem hotel at the foot of Mount Kailash! ✨ The environment is absolutely stunning, with a pristine starry sky overhead. The tranquility and healing atmosphere allow you to fully immerse yourself in the sacredness and grandeur of the holy mountain. The facilities are superb. Rarely seen at this high altitude, the hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy. The rooms are warm and comfortable, with reliable oxygen, hot water, and heating. The bedding is soft, and toiletries are provided, ensuring a truly restful experience. The service deserves special praise! The staff are warm and attentive, reminding you of altitude sickness precautions in advance, proactively helping with luggage, providing oxygen equipment, and always available when needed. They are incredibly attentive and considerate, like family. Finding such a thoughtful hotel in such a place is such a delightful surprise! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mount Kailash – a perfect stay!

YYANG SONGNANThe room facilities were quite good, but the service attitude was very poor, which significantly lowered the overall experience. Pros: The room facilities were relatively new, with a desk and office chair, a small sofa, and convenient amenities like a microwave. Aside from a tear in the carpet, the cleanliness was acceptable. The breakfast offered a good variety, though it was quite crowded. Cons: While one can't expect too much service at this price point and positioning, it's arguably the worst service in its class! Even budget-friendly chains like HUAZHU (Huazhu Group) feel lightyears ahead. Several points of dissatisfaction: Upon check-in, there was a queue, and three people behind the counter seemed to be struggling with something. I waited behind them for a while, and no one acknowledged a new guest had arrived or came over to help. After a long time, I saw someone move to the side, so I approached. Still, no one asked if I was checking in. I walked over and asked if the previous guest was finished, and only then, after being given a look that said 'What are you doing here?', did they start processing my check-in. After taking my ID, they immediately moved to a separate counter (a clearly distinct spot) without telling me to move there. I had to awkwardly move myself. They only provided basic breakfast times for my check-in information and didn't mention anything about the complimentary drinks included in my reservation, which I didn't need anyway so I didn't ask later. The window of my room faced a fence with cigarette butts and other trash scattered below. It was arguably worse than the interior of the room, but it was a basic room type, and a view wasn't a selling point, so I didn't pay too much attention. During check-out, after returning the room card, it took a moment to confirm. No one said 'please wait' or anything, so I just awkwardly stood there. As I left, I said 'thank you,' and was ignored without even a glance. It's clear that the staff here has almost no service awareness. Perhaps this hotel is very confident in its hardware and brand power and isn't too concerned about customer feelings and feedback. However, as a traveler, especially as the last hotel on a self-driving trip along the Sichuan-Tibet highway, it was very disappointing. Almost every other hotel on this trip, expensive or cheap, despite some flaws, had a far better service attitude than this one.

GGuest UserI checked into the hotel on March 28th. I had severe altitude sickness. I saw a reminder on the Ctrip backend that the hotel would start supplying oxygen at 8pm, so I had to buy a few oxygen cylinders myself. There was a problem with the humidifier in the room. The room attendant came in without saying hello, just filled the humidifier with water and left. There was no minimum courtesy or kind reminder to customers about the instructions. There was no training or assessment on weekdays. At 8 o'clock, there was still no oxygen, and my oxygen cylinder had been used up. I called the front desk and she told me that the oxygen supply would start at 8:30. At 8:30, I called her again and she said the technician had gone to open it. At 8:33, she called again and asked me to wait. I arrived directly at 8:37. I questioned the front desk, but they still didn't feel uneasy. I went to the VIP building of Tibet Hotel as a person with altitude sickness. Many other hotels provide oxygen all day long, but they didn't provide oxygen from 8:30 pm to 7 am the next day, which is very unfriendly. I didn't expect that they didn't provide it during the time period and there was no apology. I had a severe headache from altitude sickness and found the front desk to question them. High-quality service should open oxygen for customers in advance and care about their physical condition. This front desk was arrogant and had no sympathy for the customers. Altitude sickness is very dangerous. I accepted such a cold and ruthless service experience of the VIP building of Tibet Hotel when I was extremely uncomfortable. I will never come again! !
