4-Star Hotels in Shiga Prefecture, Japan

There are not many choices on this side of Lake Biwa, so we came to this one-bed, two-dining restaurant. The food is so-so, but unfortunately there isn't much food nearby. Breakfast is okay. Normal Western breakfast options have no special extras. The most special thing is that there is a large beach outside the hotel. I was going to see the sunrise, but the weather was bad and I was a little disappointed. Overall it was neat and comfortable.

Gosh, where do I even begin? This stay was frankly perfect. The view was amazing, the open-air private bath was amazing, the service was amazing, the food provided was amazing. There’s even a shuttle bus from the nearby station. I loved it. My friends loved it. The staff even ran across the whole lobby lounge from the check-in counter, and did a full dive into the souvenir store counter for us. Most memorable icecream buying experience.

Changbin is the only site on the Hokkaido main line by Wuhu (the root and Miyuan are not by the lake), and this hotel is in Changbin Port, five minutes away, not far. The hotel rooms are north-south, which makes all rooms have a lake view. There is a bathing beach and an indoor observation deck (to the south) on the seventh floor of the hotel. It is already the commanding height of the lake. The scenery is very good in the morning and evening. The east and south are looking at Lugu Lake on three sides, and there is Yiblowing Mountain to the west. Out of the hotel is the Lugu Lake ferry and the cruise ship to Zhusheng Island. The room retains the decoration style of the bubble era and is very clean. Although the occupancy rate is high, the corridor is not noisy. The service has nothing to say, everything that should be given is given. Although I don't really want to say about the price/performance ratio, compared with the lake view rooms that are thousands of yuan on Dajin and Huxi Internet, I really did spend a small amount of money to do big things. Thank you for the hotel for a relaxing experience for one night. I came here because of the Song of Wuhu Zhouhang, and I really saw the scene in the lyrics in the hotel. I hope this affordable viewing hotel can continue to exist.

The breakfast is very good and the hot spring experience is also very good. There was no one when I went there, it was just a charter. The location is right by the lake, comfortable and quiet, there is a 7-11 next to it, you can do some simple purchases. The owner of the hotel is a kind and amiable grandmother, who can recommend local activities to us in simple English. I am very grateful to her for taking care of her for a few days.

The room was new and spacious. Although two or three flying insects were found in the bathroom, it was difficult to understand and avoid. It was much better than Ji Yishengpu Turtle Well. Upgraded dinner was not bad, the buffet coffee machine soft drink, coffee was difficult to drink. Check out at 10 o'clock, the hot spring is open until 9:00 after breakfast, it is too late to soak. After checking out, it rained heavily. We sat in the lobby and waited for the rain to stop. The air conditioner was a bit cold. I wanted to borrow a bathrobe for the guests in the lobby. I was rejected and the service was disappointing.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel, definitely a vacation experience you won't regret! First off, the check-in service was impressive, with staff literally kneeling to assist us, and they provided a very thorough introduction to all the hotel's facilities and services. The lady who helped us was beautiful, gentle, and spoke excellent English 👍 Next, the hot springs: We booked a Japanese-style room with a private onsen, and the view was absolutely stunning. The private hot spring was incredibly comfortable; all three of us could soak together with no problem, haha. The hotel's public baths were also super clean, and there was almost no one else there when we went, which made for a very relaxing soak. Then there's the food: The dinner was Kaiseki cuisine plus Omi beef shabu-shabu, which was surprisingly delicious! I thought I might not be used to Kaiseki, but that wasn't the case at all! The Omi beef was also of superb quality, incredibly fresh and flavorful after a quick dip in the clear broth. Breakfast was also very rich and varied! The room size was also perfectly fine. The only slight drawback is that check-out time is too early... 10 AM... If it could be a bit later, it would be absolutely perfect!

The hotel owner is very warm and friendly. The room is very clean. Looking at the Wuhu breakfast, there is another flavor. The hotel bathroom has a heated bathtub. Very advanced experience. I highly recommend everyone to go! 😍

I am very happy to take two dogs to such a beautiful place. The overall environment is very beautiful and quiet, and the dog run brought by the house also makes the puppy have a great time. Dinner and breakfast are made on-site by the staff. The ingredients are fresh and the portion is very sufficient. It is really satisfying. However, at the same time, the overall experience is very good, there are two small suggestions, I hope that the quality of service can be further improved in the future. 1️⃣ Communication on check-in time The hotel's check-in time is 15:00 〜 19:00, so guests arrive before 19:00 is a normal check-in range. On the same day, if the check-in time has not exceeded, the temporary inquiry ”about what time will arrive” will give people a little feeling of being urged. Since the hotel has set a check-in time range, the catering and reception departments may be prepared in advance according to this time period. 2️⃣ About the service experience at check-out The staff was very enthusiastic on the day of check-in. The vehicle just stopped and took the initiative to help carry the luggage, which made a very good first impression. But in contrast, there was almost no assistance when checking out. I didn't even ask if I needed help with my luggage. Since some houses here are far from the front desk, I also saw some elderly guests need to drag a lot of luggage alone to check out. I personally think that a really good hotel is not only the enthusiasm at check-in, but also whether it can still be maintained in the same meticulous and thoughtfulness when checking out. Because the feelings of the guests when they leave, it is often the last impression left by the entire stay experience.
