The resort's overall environment and landscaping are absolutely beautiful, with a very comfortable Jiangnan-style (Southern China) aesthetic. We stayed in a private hot spring villa with a well-designed layout and excellent privacy. It's pet-friendly, and although they charged a 300 RMB fee, our dog had a great time. The private hot spring requires two hours to fill in advance, and the staff taught us how to heat it, which was a good experience. However, they didn't show us how to drain it, and when we asked the next day, we were told, 'We already taught you yesterday,' which was a bit… *cringes*. Drawbacks: I've stayed in similar types of accommodations at this price point, but the service here wasn't as professional by comparison; there's room for improvement. The facilities are a bit dated (TV, air conditioning, water dispenser), the curtains were inconvenient to use, and the bathrobes seemed old. The check-in process wasn't very clear, and the public hot spring was crowded and not very clean. Overall, the good outweighs the bad. The environment and private hot spring are big plusses, making it suitable for a relaxing getaway.

Our recent stay was truly exceptional, and a large part of that was due to the outstanding service provided by Song Likun, our host. From the moment we arrived, Song went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect. Their warm and professional demeanor made us feel welcome and valued throughout our visit. Song's attention to detail was remarkable, as they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Whether it was arranging special requests or providing insightful recommendations, Song's dedication to guest satisfaction was unparalleled. What stood out the most was their genuine hospitality and the personal touches they added to our experience. It’s rare to encounter someone who takes such pride in their role, and Song is truly a credit to their team. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here and will certainly return, thanks in large part to the exceptional service from Song Likun.

We stayed here for one night at the start of our Yangzhou trip to enjoy the hot springs, and overall it was a mixed but pleasant experience. The room was large and spacious, which we appreciated, but it didn’t feel especially comfortable or cosy compared to other hotels we stayed at later in the trip. The layout felt more functional than relaxing. One important thing to note is the private hot spring attached to the room. While it sounds great in theory, in our case it was located close to a road and not very private, with limited screening. The shower area was also visible from outside, which made it feel a bit awkward to use and reduced the sense of privacy we were expecting. That said, the service was excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive, which made a positive difference to the stay. The location is very nice, especially if you enjoy walking. The hotel is close to Slender West Lake, with its beautiful old bridges, pathways, and water crossings — very pleasant for a slow walk. We also enjoyed having tea by the lake, although it was a long walk from the hotel. Breakfast offered a good variety, but most items didn’t feel very fresh. The coffee, unfortunately, was among the worst we’ve had — definitely not one for coffee lovers (said with a smile 😄). Overall, this is a good option if your priority is hot springs, walking access to the park, and attentive service, but it may not suit travellers who value privacy, comfort, or a more refined in-room hot spring experience.

The room was great, right outside Exit 4 of the subway station, not a long walk. The room was new, and even though I arrived late, they upgraded me as requested. However, here's the problem: when I went for breakfast, the woman at the registration desk was arguing vehemently with a customer as soon as I entered the restaurant 🥴. The customer was relatively calm, but the woman at registration was shouting and was incredibly aggressive. Regardless of who was right, it was extremely rude to speak to a customer. While the service wasn't exactly top-notch, the way that woman talked to the customer was infuriating. Because of one person, I hate the whole place. Just a casual customer, afraid of getting yelled at, I'm never going back. Other customers considering staying at this hotel, please be careful not to get yelled at 🤫

Basically, the products of Huajiantang must be boutique. The hotel is in a very good location. Behind it is Yumatou, the Grand Canal, and Hua Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. There are noisy gongs and drums outside, and the voices are bustling, but it is very quiet in the hotel, which is very suitable for vacation. The facilities are very new, it is very comfortable to live in, the room is large enough, and the scenery is very good, not to mention the service, which can be ranked among the top domestic hotels. Basically, the front desk is responsive. I originally wanted to stay for one day, and then I extended it for another day because of the service. The young lady is very enthusiastic and actively recommends delicious and fun things around, and pays great attention to various service details. For example, when my wife had a birthday, the young lady took photos for her, printed the photos and put them in a wooden frame to give to my wife. I give full marks for this wave of service. The mineral water used is of the same grade as that of Qingdao St. Regis (Qingdao St. Regis is a top luxury hotel in our Shandong), and the various drinks in the small bar are the same as those used by Beijing Bulgari, and there are also various snacks, all free. The only downside is that the parking lot is a bit far away. It is said to be 150 meters away, but it is conservatively estimated to be 300 to 400 meters. The breakfast is good, but the dinner ordered in the restaurant is indeed average. This is basically the best (most expensive) hotel in Huai'an, so whether you are on a business trip or a vacation, you can't go wrong here.

Our initial room wasn't great, but the staff helped us pick a room with a beautiful view, which was fantastic! 👍 The hotel breakfast had a good variety, but the Chinese restaurant's set meal wasn't worth the price. We barely touched the tofu and black rice, and the plate of four pan-fried buns had a pickled vegetable filling 😓. The only good thing was the fish head soup, which was very fresh and delicious 😋. The hot springs ♨️ are conveniently located right next to the hotel. It was so relaxing to soak there and wash away the fatigue, and it wasn't crowded at all, which was a bonus. The Bamboo Sea wasn't crowded either, and we didn't have to wait in line for the mini-train 🚄 or the cable car 🚡. The only downside was the slightly overcast weather; it would have been perfect if it had been sunny!

The hotel environment is great, and the facilities are good too. Our butler, Xiao Rui, is very attentive and provides excellent service; she's always responsive and helpful. Because I'm a bit lazy and missed breakfast, Xiao Rui even packed some breakfast and delivered it to my room – I'm very grateful! (Haha, I think for a relaxing vacation hotel, offering more flexibility with breakfast options would be better, catering to those who like to sleep in but still want breakfast). Overall, it's a good choice, and I'd consider staying here again sometime. Also, the service at the Thai hot pot restaurant was quite good.

Traveling to Yangzhou with my elderly parents, I chose the Guesthouse (Yingbinguan) based on reviews touting it as the best, opting for the moderately priced Building 11. I initially thought the five-star breakfast would be worth it, so I booked a room with breakfast included. Here's a summary of my experience: 1. The Guesthouse overall is very large with beautiful surroundings. Building 11 is located near the edge of the property, close to a road. Our family room was spacious, but the window faced the street, making it very noisy if opened. Besides being convenient for the hot spring bathhouse downstairs, I wouldn't recommend it if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room. 2. Breakfast for Building 11 is on the first floor. The selection was limited and nothing to recommend. The wontons and noodles tasted like they had been sitting out for a long time. There was no coffee machine, and with only three types of fruit including cucumber and cherry tomatoes, you can tell how subpar it was. At a price of 98, it felt overpriced and I wouldn't recommend booking breakfast. You'd be better off visiting one of the many teahouses nearby. 3. We received complimentary hot spring tickets and chose the Hot Spring Resort, which was excellent and well worth the experience. This was the most satisfying part of our stay. 4. The complimentary travel photoshoot was decent, and the hotel's picturesque scenery made for great photos. If I were to come back to Yangzhou for a vacation again, I'd probably choose to stay at the Hot Spring Resort. 😂

You can use your room card for unlimited access to the Zhen Hot Springs. The open-air hot springs on the rooftop are a great experience, especially if you go when it's less crowded. The hotel breakfast is also very generous, and the room is very clean and hygienic. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful. It's only about 150 meters from Jinwu Hot Spring Park and very close to Tangshan Geological Museum and the Ancient Ape-Man Cave Scenic Area, roughly 1-2 kilometers away.

GGuest UserWe booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!

GGuest UserThe service at the hotel was excellent, they were polite and very helpful. Any questions that you asked, they answered without hesitation. Overall the staff, were the best if I have to compare with other big and small hotels that I have been to. My friend and I booked the hotel together. The rooms were very very nice. We loved them. It was easy to travel around the resort, they have golf carts that can take you around the resort. So many activities to do there. You need to speak a little bit of Chinese though. But in case you don’t they will find someone to help you there. The hotel package we took included the hot springs, spar and breakfast. It was worth it. The springs are the best. There is also an infinity pool. The people there are very helpful, great service. It was easy to spot two foreigners but they treated us with so much kindness, especially the man and woman at the fish spring and the little cafe there names: 张浩川, 张刘纪 and 彭玉琴. So Hentique hotels and resort is huge. The area and the activities you can do there are plenty. You can get on a helicopter(480rmb), boat(272rmb) it includes going to the islands and mountain hiking, horse riding and many more. You just have to come with a good budget. Breakfast is at the big hotel that has a great view of the lake. Hentique pinecone has different restaurants around, the food is between 100 -300 per person. I suggest you bring snacks because there aren’t any shops close by. The big hotel has a shop where you can buy snacks for a price, and an all day restaurant. We ended up moving from hentique pinecone hotel to the big hotel but paid a little bit more and was worth every penny. The hotel really good, with a nice view, the manager on duty that day August 16th 2023 was the best manager, I forgot his name. His English was very very good. He answered all questions and helped us transfer from 松果 to the big hotel. Having being in China for a long time, this was the best trip ever, with the best service. We will surely go back to this place. Best service ever. Keep up the good work!!!

DD0971****As other online reviews mentioned, don't expect much from the service here. 1. Usually, hotels have a butler escort you to your room and explain things, or at least wait at the door. On our check-in day, we arrived at our room to find the door open. A staff member in plain clothes suddenly emerged from the room, startling us. But that's a minor detail. 2. The public hot spring (gongtang) operating hours are 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. However, when we went at 9:30 PM, after showering, ready to soak, we were told the 'golden' spring (jintang) was already being cleaned and we couldn't use it. Why couldn't anyone warn us when we entered or while we were showering? They started cleaning a full hour before closing, and there were 3-4 other guests in the women's bath at the time; everyone just looked at each other in disbelief. 3. On Tuesday, before checking out, I wanted to have one last soak, so I woke up early. But when I entered the women's changing room, all the lights were off (the locker access card still worked, so the access control wasn't off, and there were no 'closed' signs at the entrance). I had to call the front desk myself to find out it was closed on Tuesdays. No one mentioned this to us during check-in or at any other time, and it wasn't in the check-in guide. So, we woke up early for nothing. The front desk said it was mentioned on Ctrip (it was, but in tiny font about seven or eight pages down). There were also no compensation measures. When we checked out, there were even other guests who had driven over specifically for the hot springs, only to be told it was closed that day. They also made a wasted trip, so the unclear signage is definitely not an isolated incident. Other than that, the value for money is quite good, and the private hot spring (sitang) fees are reasonable, though the private springs only offer the 'silver' spring (yintang).

MMoAlantehOur stay at the Novotel Suzhou was nothing short of memorable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service, which set the tone for an amazing experience for our entire family. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern yet inviting ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease. We were particularly impressed by the range of facilities that catered to everyone in the family. The hot springs were a highlight for us, providing a tranquil escape and a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. It was well-designed, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept them entertained while we enjoyed a bit of downtime. Food at the Novotel Suzhou was a true treat! The morning brunch had a diverse selection of delicious items that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal a delightful experience. We looked forward to each dining experience, knowing there was something new to try and savor. The afternoon brunch was another stand-out feature. It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish. Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

GGuest UserThe room's cleanliness needs improvement; there were some bugs. However, the outdoor environment is lovely and perfect for a relaxing getaway with fresh air. It's located right within the Shushan Ecological Village, great for hiking. It's a shame the thousand acres of pear blossoms weren't open yet; it would probably be even more beautiful if I went in late March.

GGuest UserI was incredibly lucky to participate in the nature park and hotel's study tour during this stay, and it was a wonderful surprise! After the event, we even received a mysterious gift back at the hotel, and the adorable raccoons even offered a wake-up service. My child kept looking forward to the raccoons visiting the next morning. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with excellent soundproofing. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to take you wherever you need to go. The breakfast selection was very rich, and while the taste was decent, nothing spectacular, it really captured the kids' interest, and they were very happy. However, there's room for improvement regarding the cleanliness of the tableware. The staff I encountered at the hotel were all friendly and greeted us warmly. For families traveling with children, it would be great if bed rails were provided (though I didn't actively ask). My child is still talking about the raccoons. We'll definitely be back to experience the hot springs in the future, and I hope they'll have similar activities again!

NNikenvxiaI had a very satisfying trip. Banyan Tree is my favorite among resort hotels, on par with Aman. I've admired Banyan Tree ever since I started researching it for a university paper. After booking the hotel, they proactively created a WeChat group for us, where questions were answered quickly. They even reminded us about the park entrance, provided the QR code, and advised us to bring our own swimsuits for the hot springs. The hotel is located within the Garden Expo Park, quite far from Nanjing city center, but it's quiet and less crowded. The entire hotel was designed by the renowned CCD. Every angle is worth savoring; the integration of architecture, environment, and the mine is exquisite. Due to limited space, they tried to ensure every room offers a view of Jinling's sunset. Upon check-in, we received a cute tortoise, and this time it was a reusable bag, which is more practical than a sandbag. The manager is also very talented, with excellent calligraphy skills. Banyan Tree truly has hidden gems among its staff. The hotel has diffusers everywhere, each with a unique scent. The sandalwood on Friday was tranquil, while the 'Night Queen' on Saturday was sweeter and more suitable for a holiday. Our room was spacious, and the bathtub was huge. The minibar offered a wide variety of soft drinks, and the coffee was also good. The semi-open balcony was fantastic. Opening the curtains, you could enjoy a private hot spring bath in your swimsuit, watching the sunset and beautiful scenery. However, the weather these days makes it a bit chilly. The restaurant isn't large, but the breakfast was very abundant. Before coming, I saw many reviews complaining about breakfast, but my actual experience found it to be very rich. Everything you could think of was there, plus Nanjing specialties like noodles and duck blood vermicelli. The stir-fries, freshly made wontons, freshly squeezed juices, various cheeses, and high-quality ice cream were all excellent! The entire restaurant was filled with food. (I don't understand those who criticized the breakfast; perhaps they expected a full Manchu-Han imperial feast after paying a few thousand yuan for the room. But how much can one person eat? It wasn't uncommon to see tables with untouched food after people left... Wasting ten or even a hundred times the amount of food for a little extra for oneself isn't exactly what the hotel advocates for environmental protection, is it? While hotels need to meet customer demands, unconditional compromise is another issue. Even overseas five-star hotels offer a similar range of food. In modern times, who really lacks a bite to eat...?) The staff's attitude was excellent. Both the front desk and other hotel staff smiled and greeted us (they were perhaps a bit too enthusiastic for an introverted person like me, haha, maybe they'd received negative reviews about their attitude before, I sympathize). When we entered the elevator, a cleaning staff member immediately exited, waited for us to go in, and then we realized she was originally going to another floor but chose not to share the elevator with us. This shows excellent hotel training. For me, an ideal resort hotel appears only when needed to meet customer demands, and otherwise isn't overly enthusiastic. It feels comfortable, just like being at home. The public hot springs are divided into indoor and outdoor sections. On Friday evening, it was almost like having the place to ourselves, completely empty. I tried every part, inside and out; it was very comfortable and relaxing. The temperature, in the teens (Celsius), wasn't cold, and the starlight combined with the hotel's soft, warm lighting created a very pleasant ambiance. The next morning, I went downstairs to see the hotel's black swans. As soon as I approached, they all swam over, making 'goo goo goo' sounds, so enthusiastic, haha! Unfortunately, we didn't have food to feed them, so they swam away after a short while. The stream and the small island opposite, combined with the V-shaped bridge, offer a view of winding architecture and flowing water to the west, with four little cuties below. Upon checkout, we received a scented stone diffuser as a souvenir; the lemon scent was very refreshing. I love it here. It's so comfortable when it's not too crowded on weekdays or Fridays.

GGuest UserHaving experienced Banyan Tree for private hot spring stays, I've come to expect a certain standard, and it never disappoints. The butler contacted me in advance, upgraded my room, which was spotless and fully stocked with everything I needed. The hotel's service was, as always, excellent. Alice Xiaoxiao and Lumi provided fantastic service too, eagerly answering all my questions. I also enjoyed a spa treatment, which was just as wonderful as ever. Among hotels of this type, Banyan Tree consistently satisfies me. I'll definitely continue to explore more Banyan Tree properties in other cities.
