Mövenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech

Marrakech|1.72km from city centre
We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

Hotel Marrakech le Semiramis

With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. But i guess TIA (This is africa) Pool 4/5 Stars - Minus one for missing tiles/renovation Garden 5/5 Stars - Big and perfect for the kids to take a nap in the stroller Rooms 4/5 stars - Minus one for minor renovation issues Staff 5/5 Stars - Friendly, helpfull and good in both arabic/french and English Price/Value 5/5 stars

Tui Blue Medina Gardens - Adults Only - All Inclusive

Marrakech|0.73km from city centre
Short drive from marakesh airport(20 mins). On arrival at the Tui Medina Gardens , no need to rush and get your case off first , to be first in to get your room. Everyone is offered a drink and asked to have seat , you will be called out as per couple , to pick up your room key and towel card, this is well organised , this system should be used at other Tui hotels . Room 1304. This was very clean , compliments to housekeeping staff ,are rooms were made up daily . Only problem we had was the shower was very slippy, this was soon rectified by the reception staff and Tui rep, next day there was a rubber mat in our shower. Air con was brilliant in the room and set at 15 deg, concidering the temperature outside was 40+. We had a 3rd floor room with a balcony and a view over the pool and gardens looking towards the Koutoubia mosque, this looks amazing when lit up at night . Restaurant. This is very clean throughout , food is plentiful and varied and if you cant get a meal out of what is on offer you are just being picky . Compliments to the head chef and his team Waiting on staff are excellent and tend to your needs , Pool. Main pool is cleaned daily . Pool side beds there is about 30 beds around the main pool , if you want one off these you have to be up early to get your spot for when the beds are put out at 8am you dont want to buy in to this there are plenty of beds in the gardens. Pool activities . Fitness pool arobics volleyball etc run by 'G' & Chloe the energy these put out in leaves you in ore of them in the heat and they will jump in the pool with you to do the arobics.., this is well worth watching and entertaining. Pool side bar . Run by Mustapha ( the man , the Legend), he came up to us on our first day and introduced himself, his people skills are excellent and always has a smile for everyone and makes everyone feel very welcome. All the bar staff are excellent and have time for everyone. Nothing is to much trouble Inside bar. Bar staff are excellent and will have a laugh with you . Waiters Siad , Mohsine waited on us many times and always have time for a chat while doing their job . All the staff speak good English and will help you when trying to speak Moroccan. Tempoo Hotel Marrakech City Centre Adults Only

We took a taxi as we didn’t know the exact location but it was only a short walk from the train station/Supratours bus depot. There was a queue to check in on arrival but staff were very helpful and efficient. Room was very spacious, very clean and beds were very comfortable with a fridge and balcony. Breakfast was plentiful and service was well handled. We sat outside in the sun lounge and watched the world go by … The hotel didn’t offer restaurant service in the evening so we had to eat out which was okay for us but may put some people off. Also the pool was outside so no chance of using it in February!

The hotel is beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan furnishings and artwork, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel's location is also great located in the medina, as it is within walking distance of many of the city's main attractions. The rooftop terrace offers a stunning view of the city and the pool is the perfect spot to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
Riad & Spa Esprit du Maroc

Before coming to Marrakech, I had no clue what a Riad was. But this place taught me the real meaning of hospitality. It's a calm oasis in the hectic Medina, where you can chill to bird songs all day long. The massage was a dreamy and having breakfast on the rooftop felt like paradise. The staff and owner are super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back. This spot is an actual hidden gem in the UNESCO heritage site.
Riad Emberiza Sahari

The Riad is beautiful. Traditional yet modern. So chic. But the staff are the best part about the Riad - they really understand hospitality. Nabil, the manager, called me before I arrived to check everything was in order and confirm we were expected, which was nice. When we arrived we were welcomed with mint tea, and then served dinner. The lamb tagine is the best I have ever had, and the best food I had in Marrakesh was at the Riad. Breakfast is also lovely! Highly recommend the food - hats off to the chef! We were also serenaded by Omar playing the guitar on the first night which was also amazing. But my favourite member of staff was Muad. Muad is an absolute pleasure to deal with on a daily basis. He has lovely mannerisms and he really made us feel welcome. If I ever come back to Marrakesh I’d love to stay here again. If you are thinking about booking, don’t hesitate - you’ll not be disappointed.
Palais Tinmel Marrakech

We stayed in the luxury suite and the room was absolutely gorgeous, complete with our own private patio. The riad itself is very spacious and beautiful, with plenty of areas to lounge around due to it being restored and combined with another riad. The staff were extremely kind, attentive, and accommodating. Special shout out to Nadya, Muhammad and Hamsa. The food they prepared for breakfast and dinner was summarily delicious. The staff had excellent recommendations for each meal we had at the riad, as well as great recommendations for lunch and dinner in Marrakech. The location within the medina is in a residential area, so it's fairly quiet at night.
