Shangri-La Hotels with Balcony

I only have good things to say about this place! The view from the balcony was incredible and we were able to sit and enjoy the mountain view as much as we wanted. The lady boss has such a gentle and caring demeanour. When we arrived from our hike, she offered us fruit, tea, and walnuts from her own walnut tree! There is a restaurant in the hotel grounds and the food was DELICIOUS. We had dinner and breakfast there and everything was great. I know that you could get dropped off at Halfway Guesthouse in the morning but we were happy to walk. This place is about a 15-20 minute walk to Halfway, depending on your pace.

The room was spacious and very clean. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The view was also exceptionally beautiful, and its proximity to the commercial street made everything very convenient. There's also parking available, and the facilities are comprehensive, with high-end toiletries. I stayed for two nights and will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The best decision I made in Shangri-La was choosing this guesthouse; it single-handedly made my entire high-altitude trip enjoyable! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Dukezong Ancient Town's Moonlight Square and the Giant Prayer Wheel. It’s wonderfully quiet yet centrally located, perfect for exploring and dining out, then returning to a peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Most importantly, it came with an individual oxygen concentrator, which meant I wasn't worried about altitude sickness at all on my first high-altitude trip, and I slept incredibly soundly. The owner is super enthusiastic, offering free airport transfers both ways. The breakfast was varied, with delicious Yunnan rice noodles, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Any requests were handled super quickly. It offers an immersive ******* living experience while still providing modern comforts. Next time I'm in Shangri-La, I'll definitely stay here again. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Diqing!

A perfect stay for those seeking peace and relaxation. The hotel offers stunning mountain and meadow views, with beautiful walking paths and scenery similar to Heidou Café nearby. Guests receive a voucher for a complimentary Americano and cookies at the café (other menu items are available with a small top-up). The staff are friendly and attentive, and the hotel also provides convenient shuttle service to and from the railway station. Didi rides are easy to book, and the Old Town is only about 20 minutes away. I have been traveling around. This is one of the best hotels with incredibly good price. Like I can’t believe they offer this value with this price. The hotel is just right in the ancient town, and equipped with everything: AC, heater, electric mattress, oxygen supply machine, etc. There is even heater in the shower. The best thing is the owner offered to pick up and drop off at train station. Just go and stay, no need to worry about other things. He also helped book the ******* banquet with very good price, and again transfer to the banquet and back to hotel. The hotel itself is very nice. I love the view from my room. It definitely has the best view in the house :)

This hotel was the best stay of my trip in Sichuan / Yunnan. I cherish the countryside and i was apply to go out of the city to enjoy the slow life, the real life with nature and animals. This stay gave me everything! The owners, 仁安 里 and Jiren, welcomed me like a was family. I was starving and they invited me to have dinner with them. It was really nice and i felt really included into their community. The room was spacious, luminous, and confortable with a huge bed ! I really loved staying on the sofa in the morning, when the sun was blazing. The breakfast was good and generous. My favorite day was to discover the surrounding of the hotel, walking in the village, seeing all the cute animals (cows, baby cows, dogs, cats, poneys, roosters). The owner was so considerate to me, he drove me to Shangri-La city center because no taxis were available. Visiting the old town, i was so happy to have chosen a hotel away from this touristic place. He also picked me up and drop me off at the train station. I would absolutely recommend and return to this hotel. I loved it very much. It gave me the opportunity to relax, discover ******* culture and amazing people, and live the slow life. Thanks again, and Tashi Delek !

The environment is fantastic! It's the cozy cabin I was hoping for, with views of grassy fields and distant mountains right outside the door. Plus, there are sheep that act like puppies and aloof alpacas 🦙. Facilities: Excellent. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the toilet is fully automatic, and there's a comfy sofa. Cleanliness: Very clean. Service: The hotel food is absolutely delicious! I didn't leave the hotel for three days, ate wonderfully, and slept comfortably. I was originally torn between choosing Anren Banyan Tree and here, but the beautiful scenery, great food, and friendly animals made this a perfect travel experience. My vacation ended on a high note! Black Bean Cafe Afternoon Tea: The iced Americano was delicious~

This magnificent hotel is located in the heart of Shangri-La, a place where the journey itself is part of the magic. As we traveled along the village paths and across the vast plains filled with yaks and horses roaming freely, the landscape was so beautiful and peaceful that we felt as if we were entering another world. From the moment we arrived, silence, serenity, and the pure energy of nature surrounded us. The hotel manager greeted us with a warm smile, checked us in, and offered us hot local tea and a ******* cake. He then led us to the warm and beautiful room we had reserved. Everything was truly perfect: the hotel's atmosphere, the beauty of the location, and the kindness and sincerity of the entire team. When it was time to leave, we truly felt as if we were leaving a piece of our hearts there. Without a doubt, we will return to this place, and this time we will stay longer. A huge thank you to Mr. Wang, their adorable dogs, and their amazing team for this unforgettable experience.

I have traveled for more than two months and stayed in the most satisfying one. The room is very large, very clean, the decoration is very new, the high-end Tibetan residential decoration, there is floor heating in the whole house oxygen supply, smart toilet, and breakfast. Parking in the scenic area is very convenient. The room scenery is very good. I chose this place because of the quiet parking lot. It’s not far to various scenic spots. There is a viewing platform 50 meters next to the homestay. The scenery is beautiful and the price is very high. Especially the landlord is very caring and enthusiastic. I have been asking what I need. The bed is very comfortable. It is the first choice for Shangri-La. It is highly recommended as a senior traveler! ! !

Finally made it to the highly anticipated Moye Hotel! I've been wanting to stay here for ages, and it certainly lived up to the hype – absolutely stunning! The entire hotel looks like it's built from stone, facing the Tiger Leaping Gorge directly, with endless mountains opposite. The hotel's heated infinity pool feels like it's suspended in mid-air. Whether you're in the cafe or the Western restaurant, every spot is perfect for an amazing photo. The hotel also has some great photo spots like the glass skywalk – absolutely incredible! Upon check-in, a dedicated service group is set up, and the butler is always responsive, even delivering sweet soup at night. This isn't just a feast for the eyes; I honestly didn't want to leave the room! Highly recommend: If you have a bit of money and some free time, you absolutely must come and experience this hotel.
