Peaceful Farm-Style Retreat with Incredible Views I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful farm-style hotel and it was a truly memorable experience. The setting is serene and surrounded by nature, with farm animals adding to the charm and making it feel like a true countryside escape. The room was spotless and fully equipped with all the amenities I needed. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, making my stay comfortable and relaxing. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with anything I needed. But the real standout? The view! Absolutely breathtaking—pictures don’t do it justice. Overall, I loved every moment of my stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful, scenic environment with warm hospitality.

From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome, and we greatly appreciated the personalized service throughout our stay. We loved feeding the many adorable animals, as well as the stunning view of the snow-covered fields and mountains. Everything—from the smiles to the thoughtful details, including the delicious snacks, comforting night soup, and fun photo-taking session—made our trip extra special. We had an amazing time! Very beautiful room with great view of the golden bell. Also really loved the sky light bringing natural lighting into the room from above. The hotel provides transport service to and from the 北门 of the ancient city so you don’t need to worry about having to lug your luggage up the slope. The oxygen machine provided in the room was also a life saver to combat high altitude sickness after a day of sightseeing. Its convenient location within the ancient city also ensured that there was food and drinks easily accessible during our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent Management and Hospitality The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, assisting us throughout our stay. We came here for a relaxed, free-and-easy trip, and this place was perfect for that. Our main goal was to unwind, enjoy the food, experience the culture, and meet the local people—and we truly did. One of the most helpful services they offer complimentary pick-up and/or transfer, which made a big difference for us as first-time visitors to China. Upon landing in Kunming, we were able to head straight to Shangri-La without any stress. They also gave us lots of useful advice and even provided herbal drinks to help prevent acute mountain sickness, which we really appreciated given the altitude. They hooked us up with their electric motorbike so we could cruise around the old town — such a cool way to explore! For first-time visitors or those who prefer to plan their trip upon arrival, there are several partner agencies offering reasonably priced travel packages. It’s a great setup for a stress-free and enjoyable journey. Definitely will come back again!

This was one of best accommodations we have stayed at Yunnan. The rooms were high tech with floor heating, oxygen machine, humidifier and voice command functionalities with regards to lightings, room temperature, curtains and entertainment. Every aspect of the room was so well thought of. The view from the room was amazing with the East gate temples visible from our windows and location was walking distance to the ancient city. The owner was very helpful in recommendations, transportation and showed kindness in helping us with our needs, requests and a small incident. An excellent stay for us!

Changed to a room with window and air ionize, they help to reduce the smell of cigarettes. [ Got Sensitive nose]. The hotel lady helper hand carried our luggages to the ancient city gates when the tricycle was not around. A Very Dedicated and helpful staff who deserve a good bonus. A satisfactory stay. A nice hot pot restaurant , straight down the alley.

I’ve just returned to my home country, and I’m already thinking about staying at this wonderful hotel in Shangri-La again! The location is excellent—strategically situated near Dukezong Ancient City. For Muslim travelers, finding halal food is incredibly easy, which made my stay even more comfortable. The hospitality here is unmatched. The owner, who is also a tour guide, went above and beyond to make my trip memorable. Before arriving in Shangri-La, I had inquired about visiting Bottomless Lake. Since the owner was busy, we went with his father instead. He was so kind, attentive, and caring towards both of us as female travelers. To top it off, they even drove us to our next hotel in Napahai. I want to highlight how thoughtful everyone here! The sister picked us up from the train station and made sure our room was warm and cozy before we arrived. The bed and pillows were incredibly fluffy, ensuring we had a great night’s sleep. Since I forgot to take photos of the room, don’t worry it’s exactly the same as the pictures. So I’m sharing pictures from our amazing tour to Bottomless Lake instead. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you’re visiting Shangri-La, especially if you plan to explore the area. Everyone here is so welcoming, and they truly make you feel at home!

We started our journey from KUNMING to Dali and from DALI to LIJIANG, LIJIANG to SHANGRILA. This hotel provided us the warmest welcome. Super pleasant and helpful staffs that provided excellent services. Room is clean and floor heater is provided. Although the hotel is under some minor renovation but nothing much to be affected. We are so suprise that the hotel have a 360 degrees roof balcony. Excellent overview of whole SHANGRILA no matter day or night. Breakfast is delicious serve with porridge, bread toast, eggs omelet, and coffee. We are 100% satisfied and happy to stay there. We believe that after the renovation, the hotel will be more gorgeous. Very nice muji style hotel and superb strategic location of the hotel overlooking the shangrila temple from the balcony and located in the middle of shangrila ancient town. Hight recommend anyone who looking for super comfortable room, great location and super friendly hotel owner to stay here! The owner couple were really friendly eventhough at the beginning we were having language barrier for them to pick us up from our location to the hotel especially taxi not able to drive into ancient town and we require the owner to pick us up with their tricycle (for travellers with big luggages). The owners did not give up and eventually managed to pick us up after several communication and they apologized and even bought us welcome fruits to welcome us! We felt so welcome with their gesture. They also listened attentively to our itinerary in Shangrila so that they can provide us suggestion to ensure we do not waste time or money and can enjoy the most out of Shangrila. They even booked for us a tibetian house dinner and got us the most front seat for us to enjoy a tibetian house dinner which we really appreciate our experience there! Their daily breakfast is simple but warm. They even gave us a farewell gift when we departed from Shangrila. We will definitely stay at this hotel again if we ever visit Shangrila in the future.

As the only person who stays in the hotel for a long time, I have stayed in so many houses and hotels. The owner of this most approachable hotel is really nice. If you don’t know which restaurant is delicious, he will tell you that it is delicious. Don’t order too much when you go there, because the portions are big. All his care comes from the heart. Service: On the first day of my stay, they taught me how to use the oxygen machine and projector in the room and told me to just treat this place as my own home.
