Best Hotels in Baldham, Germany

Hotel and rooms are new and beautifully furnished. The beds and kitchens were very comfortable. Good location near the metro. Quick in the city centre (approximately 15 minutes). The room was quiet and breakfast was super.

I was glad to have chosen this hotel for a 3-night stay. The room was cozy but clean, everything in very good condition, big variety of choices for breakfast actually I don't think there was anything you couldn't get for breakfast and the manager at the breakfast area is a very friendly guy that welcomes you with a smile. The staff at the reception were also very friendly and helpful. Apart from the in-house restaurant which is very good there are also some very good restaurants at walking distance. It takes 15 min to the Messe and the bus stop is right across the street. Will most probably stay again as the location is very convenient to me for either getting fast to Munich or driving to Manching. The area is also very quiet for an undisturbed night sleep. I would only wish that there were some umbrellas or something similar at the nice quiet back terrace protecting from rain.

This is a lovely warm hotel. We arrived late due to rail strikes, which made transport to the hotel a pain. However, once we were checked in, we were straight up the the room which was toasty (really toasty!). Breakfast was a continental buffet style with plenty of everything and some of the items changed on a daily basis. The hotel bar was open on Saturday and Sunday, where their barman, Boris was extremely friendly, warm, polite and helpful. He also takes a keen interest in football. I would also like to give Filip and his team at reception a shout out as they were extremely helpful. For those who read the reviews saying they could not speak either English or German, we found this to be simply not true. Their English was fluent as was their German. We had wanted to come back out to Munich specifically to stay here again this year but unfortunately that will now have to wait until next year. If you want the u-bahn, it is a 2 minute walk from the hotel reception (turn left from the door, left again, cross at the lights and you are there).

We spent a weekend there in June 2023, Friday through Sunday. Location: right next to a shopping mall (Riem Arcaden) with supermarkets and food places among many others. Parking: shared parking with shopping mall, designated elevator to the hotel lobby. Parking fee 20 to 25 euros per night. Overall impression: clean, light, modern. Check in and check out: fast and polite. Room: average size, very clean, small bathroom. We paid 75 euros per night per room (two people) and for this rate everything was as good as or even better than expected. One issue: no door bolt / security latch! In total we give four and a half stars for the hotel. We would have given five stars if there had been a door bolt and some smiles from the front desk staff as we walked by. Restaurant: Evening service one star / breakfast service four stars. We wanted to have dinner at the restaurant. My son ordered a Schnitzel which was half the size it used to be before covid (we used to stay at this hotel 3 times a year up until 2020). He was still hungry afterwards. The Schnitzel cost 28 euros. I am coeliac and often encounter problems finding food in German restaurants. I spoke to a very friendly waiter about it who was trying to be helpful but failed miserably (not his fault). He had no idea what gluten-free meant and he wasn't fluent in German nor English. He went to the kitchen and came back with some information. Not good enough. Went back to the kitchen and came back with some more information. Still not entirely helpful. There was a side order of vegetables on the menue with a dish. I asked if I could just get a side order of plain vegetables. No, I couldn't. It was not a matter of pricing, the waiter just didn't understand what I wanted from him and kept running back to the kitchen to ask but there didn't seem anybody available to deal with my request. I decided not to eat and ordered just a small non-alcoholic wine. Got a large one instead (was only charged for a small one but they couldn't get this right either). To summarize: my son and I were the only people in the restaurant. One might wonder why. We tried to order four items in total: Schnitzel, coke, side order of veggies, non-alcoholic wine. They failed on two out of four. The restaurant really deserves zero stars from us, however, we feel one star should go to the waiter who really tried hard and remained friendly throughout! Breakfast service started out just as bad. Upon check in I had asked if they offered gluten-free options and I was told it would not be a problem. First, however, it was. The first check in lady (younger) I spoke to was in training but didn't get help from somebody experienced. She just pointed me to the two gluten-free items offered in the buffet area but couldn't not answer my questions as to whether any bread could be warmed up for me in the kitchen. This hotel is quite a way out of Munich but it was easy to get to a metro and train station (very short walk past some construction). We had lovely big clean rooms and the best breakfasts of our holiday here! There was so much choice and even a very nice lady making fresh omelette in the morning. All the staff were friendly but it did seem that they were out to get money where possible, for example, umbrellas had to be hired and having paid to park in the small car park as guests we then found that there was a special offer for all weekend parking used by locals meaning that it was almost impossible to park safely. If you want big rooms, a great breakfast and don't mind a commute into munich then this is ideal.

Amazing service and amenities. There are even activities for residents to join for free, eg Yoga class. The lobby is well decorated with a coffee shop/bar, and working space. There is also a rooftop bar. Best part of this place is there is a washing + drying machine in room, with free detergents given to us. 100% recommend.

We recently stayed at this hotel while we were visiting Munich for Oktoberfest. The hotel is out of the center of town so it takes a car ride to the nearest train station to catch a train to downtown Munich; but overall no more than 40 minutes to get to the center of town. There is onsite parking (no fee), as well as proximity to restaurants and other services (again- a car will be needed). Being on the outskirts of Munich the hotel is easy to locate and to get into and away from. The rooms are a bit smallish but overall were clean and adequate. A good daily breakfast was provided with fruit, cereals, pancakes and a few hot dishes. The service was hit and miss- especially at the front desk. We arrived late after a delayed flight and the desk clerk was waiting for us and got us into our room straight away and was very friendly. On another occasion we had been locked out of our room and the key deactivated- when we visited the desk the young lady barked at me “I don’t know you- we have no one by that name here- who are you”? She then stormed off leaving someone else to pick up the pieces…it turned out the reservation was in my wife’s name but the clerk clearly did not want to be bothered with us. This is a good hotel if you don’t want the hassle with negotiating the hassle of central Munich and is close to the main highway making for easy travel onwards.

Very spacious and clean rooms. They had an espresso machine in every room with two complementary capsules per day. The breakfast had typical German sausages, scrambled eggs and other hot choices. There was also cold breakfast and sweets. The staff was very friendly. The establishment had also a very cozy room where you could have a beer at the end of the day. Parsdorf is no more than 20mins form Munich by car. So, the location is ideal when traveling by car. A very quiet location too. There was a very fast internet connection too. The parking place was a little bit small. In case it was full, there was a secondary place to park the car. That was not very comfortable for us because we had equipment to carry to our minivan.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! Don't let the photos, high stars and several good reviews trick you, like they tricked my husband and I. Initially when we booked our room we expected a spacious and clean 1 + 1 room with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. But when we were at the reception, one of the staff members explained to us that we had gotten a completely different room because ”they don't give out rooms based on pictures” but rather instead have their own system of stages or levels and you don't even know which exact room you get when booking. They claim the one we booked was a tiny room that could barely fit my family of four and several luggages (we had been traveling overseas for a month).There wasn't even any space to walk between the beds or between the luggages, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I couldn't even close the door because our room was so small. The bathroom was infested with bugs on the ceiling and walls, the whole place smelled of obnoxiously strong perfume to mask the disgusting odor of meat previously cooked in the kitchen and throughout the whole ”stage”, and most bothersome of all, neither my family and I nor our luggages could fit in our small room. After explaining that we wouldn't be able to spend almost a week in this room, I spent over an hour trying to convince the people working at the reception to either give us our originally booked room or refund our money back and they said they couldn't do EITHER of them because the hotel was fully booked and since we paid online it wouldn't have been possible to give us our money back. What a scam! After a while of arguing, they finally agreed to let us stay one night in the room we paid for in the first place and refunded the rest of the money to us. My husband and I spent the rest of our day searching for a new hotel during the busiest time in Munich when every hotel was fully booked for the next few days. (In case you were wondering, we were able to find one that we loved for the rest of our vacation.) If our troubles only stopped there I wasn't going to take my time to write this review, but unfortunately the hotel staff and management had to disappoint me once again! The breakfast was not very good and the food was minimal, but more than that I felt like we were in the middle of a forest full of bees and flies, both outdoors and indoors. Not just one, but more than enough to prevent us from eating in peace. My kids kept screaming, and the jars of jam were full of bees. I informed a staff member and she brought back another jar in 5 minutes and I got some jam in time before it would be full of those bees again. If the doors of the hotel hadn't been open the whole time for them to come inside we wouldn't have had this problem. To make matters worse, my eldest daughter had been feeling sick for a few days and started feeling worse that morning, so her dad took her to get medical treatment leaving only me and my 8 year old daughter behind. Loved staying here. Really nice room, loved being able to connect to Netflix. Beds are so comfy!! Nice bar and restaurant. There's a tram just outside hotel which takes you to the centre in 10 minutes. There's an Aldi next door, a Domino's up the road and a lovely little Italian nearby called Bella Rosa. Highly recommended hotel.
