"Located right on top of a hill.
Seaview is pretty far from hotel room... Thus nothing much to see anyway.
As the Onsen is actually a bathtub attached to the inroom shower, the sulphur smell is very strong alike rotten eggs.
Stayed for one night and is a good experience."
"This price is very good value for money, the room is the same as the picture, unexpectedly there is a public hot spring, the room facilities are complete, but no water is provided, towel yukata can be picked up in the lobby, very close to Beppu Station, nearby food and dishes are very convenient , many restaurants close at 7, it is recommended to eat dinner early
Donki supermarket and ABC mart are also nearby, about 10 minutes walk
There is a sightseeing case inside the west exit, if you want to go to Kyushu Natural Zoo and Hell Springs must buy a package there, which includes a one-day bus ride, zoo admission ticket and jungle bus ticket, purchased separately price is much more expensive, this point Be careful"

"Room: Very nice, big and spacious, three double beds, and very comfortable!
Facilities: The room has a microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, cooking utensils, toothbrushes and towels, washing powder, and bathtub
Parking location: There are only 3 parking spaces at the gate
Location: We are traveling by car, so it is a very good and quiet environment for us!
We love this hotel💕
The only drawback: Since it is a self-service hotel with no staff, I did not receive any check-in email from the hotel after making a reservation before, so I was unable to enter. I had to call the hotel's inquiry hotline on the spot to ask, which caused a lot of fuss! "
"It’s better to find it at night. It’s very close to Beppu Station. It takes about 10 minutes to walk according to the map. The room is on the 2nd floor. If the box is heavy, it’s a bit difficult to move."
"Very good, very suitable for our group of 5 people, there are places to eat around, the room is very big, fully equipped, cut 1 point when checking in because the passcode does not send, have to call and the service is a bit late. Other than that, it's all good. There is a parking lot as well."
"This hotel has very few Chinese reviews. Maybe it hasn't been discovered yet! It’s already the sixth day of travel in Beppu, and it’s safe to say that you’ve met the best hotel in your travels. Breakfast and dinner are very rich, and the rare thing is that the taste is also very good, so the first point will be mentioned. The second point to mention is the excellent service attitude, the small brother's squatting service at the time of check-in. The young lady who sent the guest was also driving far away in the car and still waving her farewell. The front desk can speak English and there is a Chinese staff. The items we left were specifically called and arranged for handover. Very careful. The service is completely satisfactory. The hotel is not walking distance from Beppu Station, but you can find an information desk at the station to help you make a call. There is a special bus to pick up in about 10 minutes. Extremely convenient. There is also a free delivery service on time. The hotel also has a number of parking spaces, it is recommended to call first. The hotel room is small but adequate for dinner in the room. There are also two family soups that require an appointment. There is also a soup, because there are not too many people can enjoy a more intimate space. It was a very satisfying stay."
"The hotel is very close to Beppu Station, about a 5-minute walk away, but check-in is a bit troublesome. I don't think I need to confirm with the hotel beforehand. The hotel will send me the check-in voucher code again, so I have to wait on the street in the cold weather. Fortunately, I contacted trip.com and the staff responded immediately, but it took me 20-30 minutes to get into the hotel. It was a very bad experience😢😢😢😢"
"The hotel is very close to the sea hell and is very convenient in the center of the iron wheel. The boss is very enthusiastic and can speak some English. He is very happy to know that we are from China and told me that he likes the three kingdoms. The hot springs around the hotel are great. There is also a hell steamer equipment at the door that can buy ingredients for steaming. The hotel has a kitchenette that provides tableware and pots. It is highly recommended to go to his house to experience it."

Excellent
GGuest UserGreat experience overall!
Room - clean and large, very new.
Service - guest experience agent in concierge is awesome! I really appreciate the service Ami provided. The restaurant recommendations/ books have been very smooth. English communication is also great! Hassin sushi (八新壽司) is a must go omakase sushi place while typpenyaki place recommended also provided excellent quality wagyu beef. We also tried western style breakfast recommended (莊園小町) Super nice too!
Onsen - very new with splendid view. Just some business visitors from south east Asia who are not familiar with onsen rules were very noisy.
Food - breakfast is quite nice - suggest trying it outside.
Location - needs to driver around 10-20 mins to the restaurants in the city but overall all ok
Free valet parking is good.
Overall excellent experience!

Outstanding
FFlyer101We booked the Sora western room type, which was described as having two double beds and three futon beds. However, upon arrival, I didn't see any futon beds in the room nor were they offered. In terms of service, I expected a better introduction to the rooms given the price I am paying. We received a very simple introduction to the common area, but didn't get a room tour showing where things are located, which Yukata to wear indoors and outdoors, etc. I've paid a similar price for another onsen hotel where we received a much better reception upon arrival. We did ask for breakfast in the room for more privacy, and while we were able to do that for half the price at other hotels in Fukuoka, the staff didn't seem to understand when we asked about it. Overall, the amenities and room are really good, but service-wise, it's hit or miss.

Very Good
WWu Kwok ChungThe hotel is situated 15 minutes taxi ride from the Beppu station. So we have nowhere to go that night. But it's good enough to have hotspring and drinks in the hotel. The staff is very polite and can explain what you can do in English. Then you were lead to the room and tips rejected.
We booked the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The dinner time is either 6pm or 6:30pm and the breakfast time 8am or 8:30. The dinner is good but maybe my expectation is quite high, it didn't reach my expectation, especially for the sashimi.
For the onsen, there are 4 private onsens and 2 public. One of the private onsens is closed. Therefore we can use 3. You can use the private onsen when it is not occupied. Just lock the door and turn the plate to the other side. But all the onsen are closed by 12 midnight. And there is a room with free flow beer and soda, but it closes at 10pm. Don't drink beer before taking hotspring.
There is also an onsen in our room which can be used anytime. It's hot at night but not so hot in the next morning. Overall, the view is good. The staff is good. The food is good (just not so great) and the onsens are good. Beppu is a good place to stay a few days more
HHiu Wai, Peggy ChauI was worried because there are many bad reviews. It turned out it wasn't that bad, though I doubt if it is worth the high price overall. The location is good, conveniently located near Kitahama bus service centre and Beppu Station. Locating the entrance is a challenge, especially when you are with luggage. The hotel staff a nice, but I can picture that if you dun speak a bit of Japanese, it might be a bit hard to communicate with the staff.
The overall environment is nice, clean room and nice private onsen bath. A curtain is appropriate in the balcony for more privacy. It is a bit dark, both inside the room and in the corridor.
Dining is nice, great food. know it's a common practice to have set time for dinner and breakfast, but as a first time visitor to Oita, the 5:30pm dinner time was too early for me. However, the 7:30pm was fully booked on my first day of visit. Breakfast started at 7:30 and it's too late for me to catch the train so I can visit Harmonyland. There could be more flexibility for dining options and time, considering the high price guests are charged.
There are many activities and I love the outdoor footbath and the free coffee and tea service at the travelers' library.
I would still recommend the hotel to visitors to Beppu.
Oonlywinxit's a small homey inn, amazing for cat lovers. you get to spend 1h in a room full of super friendly cats. their homemade breakfast and dinner is delicious and very filling - you even get to eat next to another room of cats!
the only downside is the location, which is 1 short train station (comes every 40mins) away from beppu station. it's a bit in the residential area, and the walk from higashibeppu station can get a bit quiet and dark, but overall still a great place to stay!
GGuest UserThe location is great, originally booked a mountain view room, as a result upgraded with sea view and Beppu Tower view. The room is huge. There are big DONKI nearby, but the restaurants in the shopping street are very full and refused to entertain us. Finally, we went to the sushi 🍣 next to DONKI.
The worst thing is that there are 4 or 5 mosquitoes in the room, fortunately they didn't bite us all night.
AAnonymous Usergood value for money! would definitely stay again
location: it's relatively further from the station , around a 8-10min walk. there is a 7-11 just around the corner
room: my room came without a bathroom but for the ladies are 3 cubicles shared among the 7 mix gendered guests on the floor. i did not have to wait in line at all. there was more than enough space in the room to open my suitcase wide and still feel comfortable. bed and pillow was a bit hard though, and you can hear anyone talking loudly downstairs outside the building as the room is on 2nd floor, tho that doesnt happen very often.
food: amazing balanced breakfast that changes everyday - really delicious!
onsen: the one on 2F was smaller than 1F, but very good and comfortable. clean too. you can book a private onsen room for 500yen (50mins)
staff: all of them were super friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome. there are english-proficient staff available 24H as well :)
CChakuWhen I open the door, I was totally surprised! I can’t believe this high quality of the room it was at such cost efficient level. You got a washing machine, massage bath tumb, 2 double 1 single bed and even a kitchen.
Although you may not able to put your luggage ahead of later. There are many lockers near by the JR station. So no worries! All things is under control!
I strongly recommend you to take your cozy trip here!
GGuest UserIt is an old ryokan.
The bathroom also needs to be equipped with hot and cold water.
The size of the room is satisfactory.
It's very cold, but you can control the heater.
Although it is a weekend, the price is too expensive and you have to pay a 1000 yen hot spring tax even if you do not use the hot spring when you check out.
MMay LanLocation is near supermarket and family mart. A few Coin parking locations near the house. First floor has 2 rooms <1 double bed and 1 with twin beds> but no space for luggages, a small washing basin at the corner of the staircase. 1 wc and 2 showers at first floor. Washing machine <no dryer> on the first floor. 1 wc on 2nd floor. Living room on 3 floor. 2nd floor has 2 rooms <1 with 2 double beds and 1 single bed, another with a single bed>. 2 washing basin on 2nd floor inside the rooms. It's not possible to bring big luggage up to narrow and steep staircase.no mirror on 1st floor so nid to climb up to wash and brush teeth. We wish the living room was the 1st floor. The music from nearby is bearable. Only know how to manage the water heater on 2nd day.
Suggestion to include rubbish bins on the first and 2nd floor. Add a mirror on first floor.
