B&B Hotel Berlin-Adlershof

Berlin

Airporthotel Berlin-Adlershof

Berlin
I am rating this 4 stars out of 5 because of the value for money - for a long stay our nightly price worked out well. The hotel comprises what looks like an original tall building which seems to have incorporated a lower building at the back, behind it, and this back section has been newly refurbished and that’s where I was staying. I stayed in a double room with kitchenette, desk, comfy double bed, small raised table and two stools, plenty of storage and a spacious shower room. The plus points are: *Location right next to huge Kaufland supermarket and with the tram stop right outside. It’s about 5 minutes walk to Adlershof S Bahn Station. There are many cafes, bars and restaurants around it. *Nice quality refurb with airport theme *Fantastic shower with two different heads and great water pressure *Good kitchenette with small fridge, freezer compar**ent, plug in induction ring, Nespresso machine, microwave with grill function. *Reception open 24 hours *Plentiful reception staff *Aircon in this part of the building although it is centrally controlled so no choice of temperature. *Windows open multi ways so you can safely leave them open while out even in the ground floor *Relatively quiet road especially at night and weekends Minus points are: -Lack of housekeeping staff means they officially only clean the rooms every three days. In reality they only came on my fourth day when I made a fuss. Even then they didn’t replenish the loo paper, tissues, coffee capsules, water or the bath mat. I had already had to take my own bins out as they were beginning to smell (given that one cooks in the kitchen) and had to go twice to reception to get loo paper. I feel the bins ought to be emptied more often or they provide you with bin bags and instructions in where to put the rubbish so you can do it yourself. -Lack of information. Why not tell guests where the laundry room is (on the first floor opposite room 108) or where the gym is or that you have to hold the door of the safe closed for it to stay locked otherwise it opens again. -Kitchen utensils were a bit skimpy. I had to ask several times for a sharp knife and a teaspoon but got them in the end. I was denied a tin opener or sieve so had to buy these. There was also no dishcloth, tea towel or washing up liquid which are pretty basic things. Again, had to buy these along with Tupperware boxes. Would also have appreciated a deep cereal type bowl and a wine glass but can manage without. -The aircon comes on with a noise at random times including at night and takes a bit of getting used to if you are not a deep sleeper -The Nespresso machine has a hot water function but if it has ever been used for coffee you will only get coffee flavoured water from the single water spout. For Brits who love their kettles you will probably have to make do by boiling your water for tea on the hob. *Provided two small bottles of body lotion but no shampoo *Could do with more than four clothes hangers for a long stay *

What did we like? - Location - Friendly staff - Breakfast coffee - EUR 12 per day price for the deep garage - The comfortable beds What did we not like? - The hotel is about 25 years old. You note that. The rooms are simply no longer modern: No safe, no coffee machine, no single shuttle, bathroom with shower hang and washing lines. No cosmetic products (except shower gel, shampoo and soap), although they were advertised. Smooth, thin towels (see photo), no bathroom clothes (though sauna and fitness in the house), no pantoffels. - In the bathroom it smells unpleasant, the completely foolish and sweet ventilation (see photo) makes everything even worse. - We were not told when checking in that you had to order housekeeping extra. Where is that?? But we were promised to switch towels at least, but what didn't happen. The housekeeping ordered for the next day was then rather superficial. Toilet paper was not filled, the empty cosmetic towel box was ignored. - There are no racing options in the garage, nor e-bike loading options. At the reception we were told to take our bikes simply with into the room and load there. We did then. With the bikes through you lobby, in the lift, the long corridor drive along and then from the room. - Breakfast was average. Very much backup and out of large packaging. The chairs in the restaurant are partly flawy and swallowed. Also here you realize the age. - We have tested the restaurant once in the lunch. Quality was ok, but essential ingredients were missing in the ordered salad. ”I think that has forgotten the Azubi in the kitchen.” Everything in all is absolutely not recommended. If I look at the **** Dehoga criteria, they will not be met.

The hotel is very good, more than 20 minutes from Berlin city by S train. After buying the tickets on the platform, you must remember to plug in the machine next to it to check the time~ If it is a small group of 5 people, it is recommended to buy a team ticket~ more cost-effective~ The service staff is also very patient. We deducted 25 euros per room one or two days before check-in. We asked about things every day. The hotel staff explained to us very clearly. In contrast, the Ctrip staff showed their shortcomings. I only talk about things. Our own process: After discovering these deductions, we contacted Ctrip's customer service and responded to the question. Ctrip said to help us understand the situation. After a while, we replied to us. Afterwards, Ctrip called: 1 did not contact us hotel. 2 They can help us ask questions as friends. We are a little angry at the end. We are wondering why we are ”helping” as ”friends” to ask? Instead of being an official booking platform? We believe in Ctrip. However, we are not satisfied with the previous resolution of this matter. It is hoped that Ctrip can have a better communication and handling mechanism in handling timely problems in the future. People who are away from home are most afraid of things that they don’t understand. They thought they could find a platform to communicate and deal with it in a timely manner. . Thank you~

Great location for a family visit, also a good starting point for visits to the eastern part of Berlin. Altogether everything made a very clean impression; Room, shower, dishes. Only the hob was smeared, but it could also have been due to too much cleaning paste. We can't rate it because we didn't use the kitchenette. Self-sufficiency is not a problem, because the Adlershof shopping center (Kaufland, etc.) is a 10-minute walk away. We enjoyed breakfast with the family, otherwise, if you don't want to prepare it yourself, you would have to go to a hotel or restaurant a few doors down. This is bad in Corona times, as some restaurants in the area were closed. So check beforehand. Depending on the location of the apartment there can also be a bit more street noise, we were lucky we were near the parking area, it was quiet there. Although there was little activity over Christmas, the parking lanes along the surrounding streets were well occupied, which can mean that you cannot find a parking space in the immediate area during peak periods. The staff was very friendly, we also liked that the cleaning was only carried out on request. Definitely a worthwhile alternative to hotel stays that we will definitely use again.

This hotel was recommended to us because of its proximity to Humboldt University. We were there for a meeting, and the hotel is very close by. We really liked this hotel. No fuss, but given the cost I would not have expected a ton of luxuries. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our brief stay. The rooms are a bit cozy, including the shower. The buffet breakfast served in the restaurant was top notch. The service was impeccable. The train into downtown Berlin was just down the street - very convenient. But keep in mind that it will take about 40 minutes to get to the more touristy areas of the city. Within walking distance of the hotel is a grocery store and plenty of restaurants. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I have other meetings nearby.
