"This hotel is close to the west of the downtown area of Lushan, and I realized that this should be regarded as a new form of motel - car apartments, parking is available on the first floor, and apartment-style rooms on the second floor and above. After passing the front desk at the elevator entrance on the first floor, the waiter will ask the guests if they need to provide free bathrobes and whether men need free razors. Go upstairs and open the apartment room, there is a typical porch space, change the slippers and go in, the room space of the bed is not big, but the shower room with dry and wet separation is really extra large (this space is too large to put a bathtub, add a single bed or something should be no problem)~ When I read the accommodation information on Trip.com, I was told that the refrigerated mineral water in the refrigerator here is charged! So I didn't dare to touch it. Personal opinion: According to later experience, this kind of mineral water that has not been put in the scan code to unlock the box, and at the same time without any labels, should be provided free of charge by the hotel. Otherwise, the guests drink or carry it with them. The hotel does not know. How can you charge this extra fee? Interesting: I also found out from the TV in this room - there are a lot of wonderful pay channels in Korea (you know)!"

"The location is very easy to find. The accommodation is not bad, very quiet. I don't know how many people are staying. Anyway, I didn't hear any outside noise and the sound from the next door. Across the road is the west pedestrian street is very lively. Suitable for people who are nightlife. I drew a map to make it easy for the room to set up a small partner. The room was small and clean. Two people lived enough. There is a hot water bottle, coffee and paper cups can be made by yourself, and there is a small refrigerator. Washing supplies are complete. Breakfast goes downstairs, there is a tray, you can bring it to the room to eat, the only thing is that breakfast is single, only bread and cornflakes and chocolate beans, butter, strawberry jam, milk and water. Is it possible to add something else, such as ham or fried eggs? There is also a page written once the reservation is not refundable, it is really a little human feelings, no matter what the big thing, it is no refund. Only breakfast and booking will not return these two points and hope to improve. Everything else is fine, no matter the location, the room is clean, the quietness is very good. The TV is also good, the LCD monitor is quite big, I really don't know how many inches or 54 or more, and watching TV is very clear."

"Service was friendly but it’s an older hotel. There’s a funky smell to it and our bathroom was basically a wet room with a bathtub in it that drained straight to the floor then travelled across the room to the drain under the sink. So this wet a good chunk of the floor which was annoying and unexpected. But it’s a cheaper hotel for Seoul in a great convenient location."

"I made the reservation a month in advance. The room was upgraded and the staff were fluent in Japanese. If I had to point out a small detail, it would be that there was a multi-charger but no USB, so a power adapter was needed. The location is within walking distance of Lotte Department Store, and it's easy to get to Jagalchi and Haeundae because it's on the Seomyeon transfer line. Overall, I would like to return."

"As other reviews have shared; location of hotel is on top of a hill thus a little misleading. The room itself was big and amnities were great (was warm during winter), only problem is the location as I travelled with my family. Having to climb up/down hills to reach bus stops was tiring for my parents. Overall would only recommend if you dont mind climbing up and down hills/ taking taxis/ driving."

"We stayed a couple of nights but the room was never made up, bottled water not replenished. Asked the receptionist Mr Ho (not sure if he had given me his real name) as I want to highlight how rude he was with the guests. We ask one question and he said ‘wait’ ‘wait’ as he busily continued clacking on his computer. He could have given a more polite and professional response given that he is working in a service industry. Apart from that nasty experience, I couldn’t fault the room as it’s spacious. The location is just a stone throw away from Busan KTX, metro and across Chinatown. Not many restaurants that are near the hotel except for the Pojangmacha or Pocha that are right next to it if you are in for a quick tipple with quick and easy meals cooked right there. Starbucks and CU convenience store are nearby for a quick hunger fix."

Very Good
AAnonymous UserVery conveniently located just 400m from Busha train station. Hence, plenty of choices for food and beverages. There is a link bridge between the train stastion and apartment building. Simple instructions for checking-in and checking-out. Lovely view from apartment. The unit was very clean and new, very spacious for us to have simple meal. Amenities provided are more than sufficient for our stay. The washer cum dryer is another plus point. Will recommend

CChrisThis is the most American hotel I’ve been to outside of America. By this I mean that they’ll cut an exponential amount of corners to cut costs. Small rooms, small towels, no free toothbrushes/toothpaste, lackluster wifi, no smart toilet, old TV, denied request for free late checkout. Lobby has a warehouse atmosphere. On the other hand this property has some strengths. You can’t beat the location, down near the end of the main Hyundae Beach street. The bathtub was big. Staff spoke excellent English. Overall I feel let down by this space and I’d recommend checking out other options before settling here

SSeca2Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was just across the Busan Station 1 and walking distance to most establishments. Though the room including the toilet&bath is small, it is complete with amenities (like Japanese style). Hot and cold showers, bathtub, hair blower, water heater for coffee and tea, slippers, small vault for valuables. They provided toiletries and pajamas (just collect at the lobby area). Note: toothbrush and toothpaste not included. No cabinet but can place your luggage under the bed. Free breakfast. No microwave inside the room but at the lobby area where you can have water, coffee and tea from the vending machine. They have a laundry area too so you cannot bring much clothes. The only downside for me is that, check-in time is at 4pm and check-out at 10am, so better adjust and manage your timing. You can leave your luggage at the reception area if you arrive so early. So far, I had a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing sleep during my stay. Cleanliness was never questionable. I look forward to staying here again.

GGuest UserHi everyone i think you are reading reviews to see about this hotel so i will try to explain your queries in this comment 1st i would like to say in simple words amazing hotel i definitely recommend this hotel who come for tour to busan, comfortable beds , cleaners come everyday , microwave is downstairs if you want to use and about location i found its so comfortable for visiting places such as busan cable car songde beech, haeundae beech, gwangan beech and its also near to night clubs .... JJean HengLocation is about 15 min slow walk from Haeundae Station. Booked the standard room -23 sq metres. The room size is perfect for solo travellers. May be tight for a couple. I like the layout, a retractable door to partition the bathroom and sleeping area. Nice and cozy. The breakfast is reasonably priced - perfect for me as I really only need eggs, bread, butter, jam, milk and orange juice to start my day. They’ve got all that I need;). Haeundae beach, traditional market, Mipo are all a short walk away..not mentioning the sea aquarium etc. enjoyed my stay at Fairfield.;)

GGuest UserThe location is good as it is very close walking distance to shopping streets and the price is affordable. Room is equipped with a smart TV. I did not need to use my travel adaptor as well. Basic toiletries available. However, the bath towel is in face towel size. Clothes hanging area is on top/in front of the dresser. Things to note if staying here. Hotel is located upslope from the streets. (relatively steep) Most of the times (like a 9 out of 10), I was unable to book a taxi from my hotel due to the kakao taxi app prompting that cars cannot enter my area (they will outline the roads on the app to show the roads that cars cannot enter).I had to walk some distance out to another place to book a taxi. However, there was no restrictions to drop off at this address but many times, the driver will also drop me somewhere further away to walk in. Both the guy & lady (seems like lady boss) receptionists seems enthusiastic for a normal conversation but can become rude when we enquire or request for help. I had difficulty switching on the aircon when I first checked in and called for help. They refused to come and help and the instructions was vague as all I can understand was ”the switch is below the TV”. I later found out that it is common for aircon switch to be on the TV remote controller in Korea after I checked in to another hotel. It was after the third call when we flared up that someone came to help. But the help was of course also a rude one. Another thing to note is that they only give one access card and this access card is also the only card that manages the power in the room. If you insert another card in the slot for power, they will switch off your electricity after a while. This means you will not be able to probably sleep/shower in the room if your partner goes out since you will have to be the one to open the door, unless you can stay in the room without any power. You will also not be able to charge your phones/power banks etc while you are out and the refrigeration will also be off. The receptionist have called us via room phone and scolded us for putting a foreign card in. I think this is upsetting as we usually have more than one card in other hotels. The other hotel that I booked in Seoul even had a ready card slotted in for power and we still had 2 cards for access. Another downside: There was some form of leak from toilet bowl area and I cannot make out where its from. There will be a typical pee stench after awhile. Both the automatic bidets and manual bidets did not work in my toilet. I am not sure if this only happens in my room thus this is just for reference. Otherwise my toilet was huge and the water jet was strong. Do note that they allow early check in but it is chargeable. When I reached 2 hours earlier, I was told that their hotel does not have early check in. After asking further, they told me to pay 20,000 won if I want to check in early and I got my room immediately. I would have preferred if they told me from the start that early check in is possible for a fee.

EEdwardI recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Elephant in Busan, and overall, it was a memorable experience. Located conveniently within the city, the hotel serves as a great base for travelers looking to explore Busan’s vibrant neighborhoods, beaches, and culinary spots. From check-in to check-out, my stay was smooth, and I found the hotel to be a solid mix of comfort, cleanliness, and character. Check-in & First Impressions: Upon arrival, I was greeted by courteous front desk staff who spoke basic English and were very accommodating. The check-in process was fast and efficient, with minimal hassle. The lobby itself was tastefully decorated—nothing extravagant, but definitely welcoming. It had a quirky charm that felt a bit more boutique than your average budget hotel. Room: I stayed in a standard double room, which was surprisingly spacious. The decor was modern and minimalist, with a few unique touches that gave it personality. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean, crisp linens. I appreciated the small details like a well-lit vanity area, USB charging ports, and a mini-fridge. The room also had good soundproofing, which meant I could rest peacefully even though the hotel is near a busy area. The bathroom was spotless, equipped with a full set of toiletries, and had a surprisingly luxurious rainfall shower. Water pressure was excellent, and hot water was consistent throughout my stay. Some rooms also offer jacuzzis or bathtubs, depending on the tier you book, which I thought was a great value. Amenities & Services: While Hotel Elephant isn’t a full-service luxury property, it offers everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There’s a vending machine area, complimentary bottled water, and in-room amenities like a kettle, coffee, and tea. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, even during peak hours. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or gym, but there are plenty of cafes and convenience stores nearby to make up for it. Housekeeping was thorough and respectful. My room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished without needing to request anything. Location: This is arguably one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s just a short walk from a nearby subway station, which made commuting to places like Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangalli very easy. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops within walking distance. Whether you’re into street food or want to try Busan’s famous seafood, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re into nightlife, there’s also plenty happening in the area, but thankfully, the hotel itself remains peaceful at night. Staff & Hospitality: Every staff member I interacted with was polite and eager to help. While not everyone was fluent in English, they made an effort to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even helping me book a cab using local apps. Their hospitality made the stay feel much warmer and more personal than I expected. Overall Impression: Hotel Elephant may not be a five-star hotel, but it delivers more than what you’d expect from its price point. It’s clean, cozy, and well-located—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even friends on a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re visiting Busan and want a reliable place to stay that offers good value without compromising on comfort, this hotel is a solid pick. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Busan.
