We visited this well run hotel - 19th - 27th September - all the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Our room 406 was very well appointed and bed very comfortable. Airconditioned which we used when the nights were hot. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The hotel is in a good position, just moments walk to the Old Town, and a 12-15 minute to the nearest beach. Breakfast excellent choices of hot & cold food, with local selection of cakes, savoury and sweet Cretin pies. Local selection of bread and large selection of unusual jams and breakfast spreads. I would like to thank personally Nikos (Food & Beverage Manager)- for his friendship and ensuring that our breakfast meal was being enjoyed. He spoke to us personally each morning and he gave us some good information of places to visit outside Chania. Also I would like to thank - Emmanuella (Front of House- Reception)- again her friendship and she would also talk to us every time we passed the front desk. She again gave us very valuable information of places to visit, and organised taxi's and booked a day-trip by coach and boat. Emmanuella was again very polite, helpful yet professional, and helped make our holiday most memorable. A big thank you also to Necteria (breakfast server)- every morning she spoke to us, and remembered our breakfast order, she was so kind and helpful. We would certainly return to Samaria Hotel, and would recommend without hesitation - we have some lovely memories. Hotel has a good swimming pool,

Stayed in suite with sea view. The view was amazing. The room was lovely, bed super comfy. There was a nice vanity table to get ready at. Bathroom was big and clean. The service at reception were very helpful. The location was great right in old town but not too noisy - music from restaurant in evening but I liked it and church bells on Sunday. I really enjoyed my stay here and was very happy with the suite. Couple of things to point out: there was no furniture on the balconies and aside from a pouf, no furniture in room to move outside. So meant nothing to sit on to enjoy balcony and it’s view. Also the curtain was only half curtain so to block out light need to shut the shutters which then restricts air. I didn’t mind but if you want darkness to sleep might need to bring eye mask. Like I said only minor things. Overall great place. Hot water - i mention as I know this is important to people :)

Can only echo all the other reviews. From the moment you enter the clean smart reception there is an air of total relaxation. all of the staff were very attentive without being over the top. Special mentions go to Manager owner Petros whose genuine customer service and caring sets the culture for the entire hotel to restaurant staff Manolo and Anastasia both of whom are great characters and made the stay extremely enjoyable. The food was absolutely AMAZING the milanese risotto with ossobucco takes a lot of beating but this was surpassed by the lobster and scallop soup (see photo). We could not fault the room either. Yes is was one of the top rooms the dome suite 532 and yes the views from both inside and the pool were great. There was the coastal rd but did not interfere with the relaxing vibe. Prices within the hotel were very fair, often cheaper than outside (which is fantastic based on the quality). The Cretan wines recommended by Manolo were some of the best we have experienced. Would certainly book this again, just looking for the excuse now.

From before we arrived, until our parting good-byes, ANTEL Suites and staff were absolutely perfect. In particular, owner Xanthi is the loving Greek mother everyone should have- assisting with reservations, parking, and concerns about wheelchair access to make everything about our stay enjoyable. We were greeted by the most charming desk team every time we ”returned home” and discovered special treats like cakes, nuts, and liqueurs in our suite. The suite itself was modern, efficient, spotless, and compliant with the most stringent of American accessibility requirements - but in beautiful Chania, Greece! Door widths, barrier-free entrances, a roll in European shower, toilet, adaptive equipment and hand bars were exceptional and like no other in our many travels. If you travel using a wheelchair, ANTEL suites is a dream come true. In addition, the suite had an excellent apartment style kitchen for cooking (though we didn't - who can compete with the chefs of Chania?) The bed and bedding were of superior quality and comfort. ANTEL is very conveniently located across from the central bus terminal for touring, getting to beaches, and in the center city if getting around on foot / wheels for meals and shopping. Finally, ANTEL was an exceptional value all around. My only sadness is that we had to leave - we will definitely return someday and cannot recommend this accessible find more strongly to all. Located centrally, few minutes walk from bus station, grocery stores and old town. Staff are helpful as well, really helped me with my bed preferences. just avoid going in around check out time as it gets busy hence you wont be entertained quicker. They’re quite strict with check in time also. I arrived 12 noon but was asked to wait till 3pm to check in, but good thing is you can use the facilities. They have a kitchen were you can cook if you are in a budget. It’s more of a youth hostel, so it can sometimes be loud. Place is really clean and sweet smelling. One of the cleanest hostels I’ve been.

Hotel location is very good, a few minutes walk from the old town, breakfast is very good, the front desk service is also very good, the room is not big, but the design is very reasonable, there is a balcony, blowing, very comfortable

i came here with my boyfriend for a week in june and had such an amazing time. the rooms and facilities were clean, all the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. the breakfast was really nice and the bar service to the pool was a great bonus. My boyfriend and I are only 18 and 19 and were probably the youngest couple there, but we did not feel out of place and there was still plenty to do in the town of chania. the harbour is incredibly lively and exciting- we spent most our nights here. we also saved some money due to free shuttle to and from the hotel which ran up until 12pm - we only needed to pay for a taxi once when we had one late night. would totally recommend this hotel. the restaurant was also delicious on the night and the views/ sunset were incredible. thank you so much royal sun for making out first holiday together so special!!
