Rosewood Court Motel

Beautiful and quiet courtyard, complete kitchen facilities, and convenient living around. Especially the Korean bosses are warm and kind and responsible for their work. One day, my husband answered the phone in the yard, accidentally put his bag on the stool in the yard and left. Our passports, ID cards and other important things were all inside. Twenty minutes later, we found out that the bag was gone, and we were in a hurry. When the domestic epidemic was tense and international flights were cancelled again, we would be unable to move without a passport. We told the Korean boss about this, he asked about the situation, let us not worry. Ten minutes later, he delivered the bag to our room. There were a lot of passports and cash in the bag. We are very fortunate to book this hotel, and met this honest and kind Korean owner, who is away from home, this hotel is trustworthy. Call the owner!
Arthur's Court Motor Lodge

The suites in the two rooms are much better than the triple rooms. They lived here on the last day of the first day, but it is a bit of a hassle to check out at 10 am in the morning. There is no oven in the room, the lack of beauty
City Central Motel Apartments
4.4/576 Reviews
The hotel is centrally located, not very expensive at price - it also corresponds to quality. The reception times are very unfavorable and are not respected. As we were following the CHC only in the afternoon, we wanted to leave the baggage at the hotel. In the early evening we asked when and whether we could deliver the baggage. The early time (from the motel view) is to wait for the opening of the reception at 9:30. On the check-out day we waited just half ten before the reception and we found that the reception was still closed and the staff were not even entered the building.. We have to wait before closed doors until 09:45. When we (And the employees!) were finally entered, we could only deliver under baggage in half an hour... thus we are swept the remaining time in CHC.. We wouldn't come here anymore!

I have been travelling for a few weeks across the country - staying at a different motor lodge every day - I stayed in Christchurch for the weekend before going to Hokitika- really clean and comfortable room - Kitchenette - spa bath and washing machine and tumble dryer -sky tv - only down side is limited Wifi ( have mentioned to motel regarding this as out of all other location not charged for wifi elsewhere- however the motel was so good I went and stayed again a week later before getting my flight. Locally there is a pub/restaurant and a choice supermarket and take aways
Admiral Motel
4.4/577 Reviews
The Admiral is located in a motel heavy strip in Bealey Ave in Christchurch and I would guess that this is in the middle of the pack quality-wise. We had a two bed unit and there was a mix of newly installed features (eg carpets, beds) and some very old features (eg a very old kitchen), but overall it was good value for money. Also, a special mention to the management (Rose) who was very flexible and understanding as our arrival date kept changing due to Cyclone Gabrielle and cancelled flights. In the end we were only there one night, but Rose waived the normal notice periods and only charged us for the one night we stayed.
Garden Hotel

We had a great stay. We were upgraded to a three bedroomed suite which was perfect. The suite was really spacious and had everything we needed. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly too. Went to the dinner buffet at the restaurant. Came out way too full! The selection was wonderful and the service was great. The food was done very well especially the roasted pork ribs. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend especially if you have a family.
