"1) The front desk was careless, the room number was written wrong, the door couldn't be opened and the door couldn't be opened. It didn't just happen to me, there were also tenants who opened and knocked on my door the next day.
2) The hotel is a boutique hotel with a retro style and beautiful decoration. However, there is a finger-wide gap in the bathroom glass door, and bath water will flow out, which is quite inconvenient.
3) The bottled water is Evian in glass bottles. After drinking it, you can only fill it with plastic bottles (understandable)
4) My room did not provide a hair dryer. I called the front desk to ask for one and had to wait for 40 minutes. The first time I came, I was only given water but not a hair dryer. I gave a $5 tip and got it quickly (this can also be done in the United States). understand)"

The room is clean and big. Note that there are no slippers in American hotels. Bring your own.

"The location of the hotel is great. Just downstairs is the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Across the street is Madame Tussauds and the Chinese Theatre. The guy who did the valet parking and carried the luggage was very enthusiastic, and the front desk also introduced the hotel facilities in detail. The outdoor swimming pool is very lively. The weather in LA in early October is very comfortable. Many people are sunbathing. I recommend the ice cream at the pool bar, which is huge. The suite room is large and retro. The sofa in the living room makes you forget to get up when you sit down. The bed in the bedroom is also very comfortable. The only drawback is that the suite room faces the street and it is a bit noisy from passing cars, but you can enjoy the bustling Avenue of Stars through the window."

"It was only a short stay for one day after my late night flight, and I left at around 6am for the further sightseeing.
Location is great, not really far from the metro station (around 10mins walk) which is on the same line as Union Station. Not far from all the touristy spots (central library, walt disney music hall, central library, central market...etc) in downtown, all walking distance!
It's located in a building with elevator, with a pool (unfortunately I didn't have chance to check it) and the staff is super helpful and friendly!
Room is nice, not big very pretty functional, and there is a shared bathroom in the room.
Overall this was a very great experience with the price! Highly recommended to those travellers with budgets."

"Location was great at downtown LA: near the 7th street metro. Nearby lots food as well such as Tacobell, Starbucks, Jollibee and near grocery store down the road

"The room is not very big and the hotel is a bit old, but the overall environment is OK. The city view of the room is OK. When I checked in, the front desk asked me if I was a Hilton member and gave me a few bottles of water, but they were only available on the day of check-in. When I asked for it the next day, they said it was out of stock and I had to go to the gym to get it. The hotel is in downtown, which is convenient to go everywhere. But the traffic jam during rush hour is a bit serious. Valet parking is 50 (or 60, I can't remember) a day. The water output of the shower is not large enough, and the experience is a bit lacking. The quilt is like most American hotels, with the sheet wrapped around the quilt core without covering it. If you are not careful, the quilt core and the sheet will separate, which is really uncomfortable."

YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars;
First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review.
The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-)
Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance.
1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process.
2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance.
Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

Only complaint would be the ****** is Chinese, so I had no idea how to play any of their games. Probably a good thing! Saved me money!
Also, we had a two room suite, however, the rooms only had one television in one of the bedrooms. I would recommend having a tv in each room.

I had a smooth experience overall at the Sheraton Hotel. Check-in and service were efficient, and the facilities were well-maintained. TTemuujinI recently had the opportunity to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Hawthorne for a business trip, and I must say, it was a rather pleasant experience overall.
First and foremost, the hotel's proximity to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a major advantage. It's a mere 10-minute drive away, which made it incredibly convenient for someone like me who had to catch an early morning flight. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a nice touch.
The check-in process was efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and welcoming. The lobby area is clean, modern, and well-designed, creating a favorable first impression.
I stayed in a standard room, and it was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the extra pillows provided. The room had a decent view and was adequately spacious for a solo traveler. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with the necessary amenities.
One of the highlights of my stay was the on-site restaurant, The Bistro. The food was surprisingly good, and they offered a variety of options for breakfast and dinner. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and provided excellent service. However, I found the prices a bit on the higher side.
The fitness center was well-equipped, and I was able to maintain my workout routine during my stay. The hotel also has a small outdoor pool, although I didn't have the chance to use it during my stay.
The only downside to my experience was the noise level in the hallways and adjacent rooms. Thin walls seemed to allow sound to carry, which made it a bit difficult to sleep when there were noisy neighbors. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was a bit slow at times, which could be frustrating if you're trying to get work done.
Overall, the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Hawthorne is a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience near the airport. The friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent dining options make it a comfortable place to stay. However, improvements in soundproofing and Wi-Fi speed would enhance the overall experience.

BBrendanThis was my first stay and the hotel was excellent. The person at reception was very friendly and very helpful, the room was in immaculate condition, The hotel itself is very quiet. Rooms are much quieter, incredibly relaxing. You can sleep so peacefully. There is no noise. Nothing. It's just a first class treatment. I appreciate the service and hope to stay there again.

HHendrick2952The hotel is quite convenient and there are many restaurants around. What is the most unique thing? The hotel lobby is on the 36th floor. You can see part of the Los Angeles skyline, which is a wonderful sight. The room is relatively large, the floor-to-ceiling windows have good lighting, and the facilities are relatively new. It is worth mentioning that the Mexican food in Los Angeles is indeed very famous. Los Angeles was colonized by Mexico before, so there is a lot of Mexican food culture left. It is recommended to taste it. If the weather is good, you can see the Hollywood Hills from a distance in the room. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the stay and recommend it.

Bbilge_First time, i stayed at hostel and the hostel was acceptable with location and safety in hostel. Bus stops and metro is prettt easy to use. The people was nice to talk and communicate in hostel. Easy check in-out. The breakfast is not breakfast, just bread, nutella, peanut butter and pancake mix.
Every morning, a lady cleaned the bathroom. Everyone was respectful to be quiet for others in my room; i was lucky✨🤞🏻
