The service was great: the porters were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast crew served with a smile. The location was prime, in the middle of all the action. Hotel was clean and the room service and daily cleaning was excellent. Only thing is the shower and tap lacked pressure and toilet was difficult to flush. There is a nice cat cafe nearby

The City View Hotel Saigon is a decent option for travelers who prioritize location over luxury. The hotel's central location earned it a perfect score for location, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transportation. However, the service and amenities were lacking, with a 3/5 rating for both categories. While the staff were friendly enough, they were not particularly attentive or helpful beyond the basics. The cleaning was also average, with some minor areas for improvement. The amenities were limited, with no standout features or extras to enhance the guest experience. Overall, the City View Hotel Saigon is a good option for budget-conscious travelers who want a convenient location, but don't expect top-notch service or amenities.

Very convenient location, it is very convenient to go to different attractions by car or on foot. The room is generally clean, and it is very considerate to have an ironing board and iron. But the bathtub in the room was stained, and the handle of the boiling water fell off as soon as it was turned on. In the middle of the night, I had to ask customer service for help. And at the entrance of the hotel, there is a massage shop with a pink business lady to solicit business, and girls will feel a little embarrassed.

We used it as a base for transit sightseeing. As the name suggests, it's relatively close to the airport, but it's not far enough to walk with large luggage and the pedestrian path to the airport isn't well-developed, so I think I'll have to take a taxi. think. It seems like you can arrange a taxi at the front desk, but when I used it, it was cheaper to use the ride-hailing app Grab. The room was larger and cleaner than I expected, and I was able to watch Japanese broadcasts on the TV. The toilets and bathrooms are made of frosted glass so that their silhouettes can be seen from the living space, so you may need to consider privacy when using the room with a group of the same sex. There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so I don't think you will have any trouble finding food.

Stayed for one night after a long flight. Matched the expectations, nothing special, but has everything you need to shower and sleep. Late checkin and free water in the room were nice extras. Staff is superhelpful and guide us on how to get to another city where we were planning to stay.

I like this place and recommended this for a budgetary traveler. Though amenities are are not too many like swimming pool, gym or other but for a traveler that just wants to keep their luggage when going out, or for only sleeping, I recommend this place😊

It's very convenient for transportation and is perfect for just sleeping. Breakfast is included. When I checked in, I was told that one bottle of water would be included per night, but when I checked out, I was charged for it, so I recommend taking a photo of the explanation (the smartphone screen used by the front desk to explain) as evidence, or not buying it carelessly (although it only costs a few tens of yen). Amenities included toothbrushes and brushes. I didn't use them, but I think they also had shampoo. The smoothie shop next to the hotel is very cheap and delicious, so be sure to try it.

JJocelin LamThis hotel is at a very good location. It's near the top sights but not too near, making it possible to avoid the massive traffic. The areas around Ben Thanh market have so much traffic that made the area full of fumes and traffic noise. This hotel is about 10 minutes leisure walk to the market and famous spas and restaurants around. The hotel room is pretty clean and modern. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The free breakfast that came with the stay was very tasty! Staff were friendly and helpful. The downside to this hotel however is that I still couldn't escape the noise pollution. I was at the #8th and there is a generator that will be turned on at 6.30am every morning (weekends included). The restaurant is 1 level above and staff there starts shuffling furniture as early as 6.45am-ish. From about 10pm to 12 midnight, a group of dogs that live nearby would all bark very loudly at the same time. I am not sure what triggered them. But they barked very consistently every night around that time. On my last day, a weekday, nearby school started and noise from the children starts early in the morning. It may be that I have been assigned to a room that is not well located. But the different types of very loud noise made it hard to rest. If noise is not an issue, this hotel is a gem.

PPINOThis is a great place to stay, surrounded by many restaurants, cafés, parks, and stores, making everything easily accessible. The area is vibrant yet peaceful, offering a comfortable and convenient experience. One of the highlights is the stunning city sunset view, which adds a special touch to the stay. Whether you're looking for good food, a relaxing stroll, or just a cozy spot to unwind, this location has it all. Perfect for both short and long stays!

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say, the experience was extremely disappointing. Upon check-in, I wasn't informed about the hotel facilities or the breakfast hours and location. I also wasn’t given any guidance on how to get to the elevator. Beyond the bellboy service (where tipping was expected), the staff was not proactive at all in assisting with anything. I was especially shocked when I saw an elderly person get trapped by the elevator doors, and two bellboys standing by without helping. On New Year’s Eve, I was looking forward to watching the fireworks over the Saigon River from my room, but the hotel’s own fireworks were so smoky that I couldn't see anything through my window (I was on the 10th floor!). The whole fireworks experience was ruined, and to make matters worse, the loud music continued for another hour, disturbing my sleep. The breakfast experience was just as frustrating. Because I wasn't told where to eat the previous day, I accidentally went to a temporary dining room, which had no staff who spoke English, making it difficult to ask any questions. The food choices were extremely limited, and I was surprised to find no milk or basic breakfast items available. The food quality was far below the standards expected from a 5-star hotel. After some searching, I discovered the actual breakfast restaurant was downstairs, and the restaurant supervisor instructed me to carry my tray downstairs myself. This felt extremely inconvenient and unnecessary, and once I was downstairs, I was told to wait outside for a table to become available. Standing outside with two trays of food in my hands felt humiliating, especially in a 5-star hotel. The downstairs restaurant did offer more variety, including smoked salmon, cured ham, and waffles, but by the time I made it down, I had already eaten most of my breakfast, so I didn’t get to fully enjoy it. Finally, when I went to pick up my luggage from the front desk, I was asked to search through a pile of luggage to find my own. I asked how I was supposed to identify it in such a pile, and even if I could, I couldn’t move all the luggage around by myself. This was not only inconvenient but also frustrating. Overall, I can only give this hotel 2 stars. One star for the hotel’s physical facilities, and the other because the review form doesn't allow for a zero-star rating. Otherwise, I would have rated it even lower. This stay was a huge letdown and didn’t come close to the 5-star experience I was expecting. Both the service and the amenities were severely lacking. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves for future guests.

ZZel ChongFREE ROOM UPGRADE AND EARLY CHECK-IN! I booked a total of 4 nights in two separate bookings as Trip.com had promo codes. I booked Deluxe Twin room and only found out that this room had no windows (they changed the room name to Narra no windows a few days before my check-in date), and I was sad that I could not cancel the booking as it was prepaid. To my surprise, they upgraded my room to Premier Twin room (with windows) for free when I checked in, without me even asking! I have been to ho chi minh 4 times now and this was the best stay I had experienced in ho chi minh. I always researched the hotels by reading all the reviews before finally booking one, and I am really glad I booked Silverland May Hotel!! Pros: - Early check-in at 12+pm (usual check-in 3pm) - No language barrier with the staff (all staff understood English pretty well) - Buffet breakfast had at least 2 variations, they also have a separate menu offering food choices off the normal buffet spread (you can ask them for it) (best choices: almond croissants & ham, egg and cheese sandwich) - Hotel Spa is a MUST TRY. I tried it and did not go for outside spas that I had planned to go. Went to the hotel spa and did 3 services in 2 days! (1) Relaxing Package costing 1,200,000 VND (2hrs): Swedish massage, Body scrub (exfoliate with himalayan salt), Body wrap (nourish in oat & milk i believe) (2) Facial spa costing 900,000 VND (~45min): Mild exfoliation and nourishment (my face felt super clean and brightened a lot after the spa! would do it again if i could) (3) Hotstone massage costing 800,000 VND (1hr): just wanted to try a different kind of massage but I still prefer the swedish massage (the heat of the hotstones was out of my comfort zone haha) - The hotel restaurant / cafe / in-room dining food choices were good too: best was the Beef Phó, it had more ingredients than phó selling outside. We went to the hotel cafe and was surprisingly offered 50% off our cakes so of course we had to order! The cafe offers the same food menu that the hotel restaurant offers, they will cook it and serve it to you if you are sitting in the cafe at Level G. - Free afternoon tea (but I missed all four days of the tea session so no comments) - Rooftop pool was very pretty and chill. Cons: - The quality of the tissue in the hotel rooms are bad. So thin and filmsy (2-ply). I bought my own 3-ply tissue and did not use the tissue in the rooms at all. - Could have offered disposable bedroom slippers which would be more hygienic. - Water pressure was not very strong, had to stand so close to the showerhead.

GGuest UserLonger review to explain our experience. It is not 4 stars. Maybe 20/30 years ago it was but not now. We paid about $200 for one night, for a river view club room with afternoon and nightly candles cocktails and club room access, 3pm late checkout and 15% off airport transport. When we arrived they would not tell us how much airport transport would be for leaving the next day. Just that it was expensive and we should get a cab instead. That was a little disappointing, we should have pushed for the price but we were tired from our flight and hungry. The room we were put in was grubby and had a bad smell and NO river view. We called reception to mention we had booked the river view. They moved us down and across the hall. The new room had a nice view, had clearly being prepared for guests with brochures and pamphlets. No smell and had been recently cleaned. It felt like they were just trying to see if they could get away with giving us the bad room instead of the one we had booked. I've added pictures of the view from both rooms. After moving we went to afternoon tea which was really nice. Although our room move meant we had to wait because no one had shared the records of our room switch which was kind of awkward. Once we got to it the food was nice and filling (see food pictures) The bathrooms in that lounge were out of hand soap. We went back to the room. Had a shower but the shower/bath drains onto the floor so a large unsafe pool of water Is right under your feet as you step out of the tub. Went out for the canapès. That was disappointing. We got there at 6:20pm. Everything had gone cold except the fried rice. There were no cocktails, just bottles of whisky and rum and you could take a can of coke, sprite, or tonic water to mix yourself. Luckily we were still full from the afternoon tea. We went out nearby and came back to find the street party next to the hotel was still raging and although the people mostly went home, the music players kept going until about 1am. That was awful and I'd recommend not staying on the river side if you're staying Friday to Sundays and want to get up early. Next morning we went to breakfast, it was a very small selection. We got a bread roll that was hard as a rock. Nothing was very fresh. It was disappointing. Also can only get black coffee or machine coffee. We went out for the day and came back to pack at 2:30 for our flight and the safe had stopped working. Could not even type in the PIN. This was nervwracking as it was our last day and passports were in there. It took 4 calls to reception and 1 hour for them to send someone to fix it. Batteries had run out. These things happen but maybe there should be a schedule for changing these things or at least a swift response when someone is trying to check out and cannot open it. When the safe technician did show up he was great and very personable. Once I got our passports we checked out and they stored our bags safely in the luggage room for us until we got our cab. On the other amenities; the gym seemed good snd had indoor and outdoor terrace with more weights. The doormen in lobby are cheerful. The pool was very basic, I think it looks better in the pictures. The lobby bar is expensive. The lobby is pretty but smells like it was mopped with dirty water sometimes which is unpleasant. Overall it was a bit of a letdown. I'd give it 3 stars, it would be 2 if we had stayed in our first room. We would return to the area but try a different hotel.

EErickI stayed 3 nights at the Ramana Saigon hotel. Good location with easy walks through that part of the city if you do not mind pollution and a lot of traffic (mostly motorbikes). I loved discovering the city with its hectic and very lively environment. The hotel is next to district one. The railway station is a 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Plenty of eateries around and convenience shops next to the hotel. The staff at the reception were very welcoming and helpful. True professionals. That was also the case of security and those in charge of the rooms. I mentioned a very noisy service door next to my room and the issue was fixed immediately. Now I was not too impressed by the service and the attention at the restaurant during breakfast. Too busy with the many tour groups keeping the restaurant fully busy (and noisy) from 6 AM to 9 AM (seating: almost 300 people) then a bit quieter until closing time at 9:30 AM. Today I ate breakfast a bit later than usual at 8:45 and noticed that tables were not cleaned after guests left. Items were removed but nothing more resulting in empty tables with dirty table sets and no more forks, knives, etc... The food at the restaurant is for the masses. No real options for people with diabetes for example as pretty much all items are on the sweet or very sweet side. Including cooked vegetables (sugar and fat). 3 different salads to choose from but no simple dressing with just vinegar and oil. They care for the many Indian guests with a few vegetarian options but ... I tried and ... my glucometer did not appreciate and hit the red zone :( The rooms are old fashioned but nice and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. Not hard as is rather usual in Asia. The noise insulation is on the poor side. The air conditioning system is rather loud. There is a well sized fridge in the room and plenty of space :) The swimming pool on the 5th floor (outdoor) is small but nice and there are a few lounge chairs to relax. It was not busy when I was there in the early afternoon but I guess I was lucky ;-) The guests at the hotel are overwhelmingly tourists traveling in big groups. Mainly Indians and Chinese but also some Westerners. Bottom line: I enjoyed my stay at the Ramana and I understand that the mass tourism supports their business which, to me, comes with some disadvantages: overcrowded restaurant for breakfast, very loud and noisy guests at times ... and the flow of such guests is quite constant during the day (departures crossing arrivals).

GGuest UserLocation was great and rather centralized. It's right at the corner of the happening night life street. Music were loud but manageable in the room. Staffs were friendly and helpful. There's a massage place at the entrance of the hotel which is very convenient if you need one. Just 1 downside is that the sink has some pipe issues whereby it will leak but issue wasn't that big to complain about. Overall would recommend the place to stay.
