Let's start with the positives: 1. The snacks at the front desk were a thoughtful touch. I arrived late and hadn't eaten, so the biscuits and fruit were much appreciated. 2. The hotel's location is decent. You can walk to the old town, though you have to cross a busy main road where cars don't seem to yield to pedestrians, which can be a bit intimidating. 3. I booked a loft room, which was really nice. The view was good, facing the courtyard, and it was incredibly quiet. There's a maternity center next door, and honestly, this place would be perfect for a postnatal retreat. I slept so well here at night; there wasn't a single sound. 4. Parking was convenient, right in front of the entrance, which is great if you're driving. If we had driven into the old town area, it would have been a real headache. Glad we didn't book a B&B inside the old town itself. Now for areas that could be improved: Firstly, the breakfast was quite simple and the taste was just average. However, the dining environment was nice, with outdoor seating available. Secondly, the laundry room couldn't be used after 10 PM. Luckily, we were staying for two nights, so we managed to do our laundry on the second day. We went out, and the front desk even helped put away our clothes.

The hotel's location is superb, right by Cang'er Avenue, making it incredibly convenient to get to Dali Ancient City. We stayed in a sea-view king room, and the view was fantastic; we could gaze at Erhai Lake from the room. On clear days, the breathtaking scenery of Cang'er is fully visible – blue skies and white clouds complementing the lake create a truly healing and photogenic view. The room was clean and tidy, and the living environment was quiet and comfortable. During our leisure time, we quietly admired the mountains and sea from our room, experiencing the unique tranquility of Dali. The overall experience was very pleasant, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Dali!

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple were faintly visible. In the morning, drawing back the curtains revealed a sea of rolling clouds. In the evening, I'd sit on the swing chair on the terrace, watching the sunset paint Erhai Lake a honeyed gold 🍯. At night, a glance upwards showed the Milky Way so clearly it brought tears to my eyes ✨. 🌿 **Immersive Mountain Living:** Hydrangeas were in full bloom in the courtyard, and dappled sunlight filtered through the treetops onto the wooden floors. I booked this place after reading the reviews about the above and beyond service, and the connection that guests were able to make with the owner of the accommodation. When there are hundreds of hotels to choose from, I value getting to know the humans behind a business. Unfortunately during my stay the main owner whom the reviews refer to, was away. The staff that was in place was helpful, but I felt gave me the one simplest solution to any question I had, rather than the best possible solution, or even options, for what I needed help with. I probably had an anomaly of an experience. The room was spacious and fairly clean. There was a bathroom window in the room that had no blinds or curtains, and the courtyard lights would stream into the room past 10pm, which meant that the room was not completely dark. I included a photo - the light is a lot more obvious and pervasive in a dark room. I had to sleep with an eye mask on, which thankfully, I had. I would suggest to the owners to put a curtain or some blinds up in the bathroom window. I would still recommend this hotel for its quiet location and proximity to the ancient city (8-10yuan Didi ride). Hopefully you'll have the lady boss around during your stay.

When we arrived at the hotel 🏩 The proprietress changed us to a deluxe room for free, and the follow-up room did not increase our price. There are two attractions around the hotel. From the place where you live, you can walk to the bus station. You can walk to Erhai Lake. I am very satisfied with an experience. I also recommend it to my friends. I will come to Dali next time. Will come back again.

This hotel in Dali Ancient City really exceeded my expectations. The location is super close to Dali Ancient City, just a 10-minute walk away. The courtyard has parking, which is very convenient. It's also very close to the popular Cang'er Avenue. There's a self-service laundry room on the first floor, and the front desk service was incredibly thoughtful, even proactively recommending things to see in the ancient city and local specialties.
