Hotels near Seven Commandos Beach in EL Nido

I understand why reviews of this hotel are so mixed. I first stayed in the newer part - a beautiful room on the 3rd floor, overlooking the beach. The room was clean, new and sparkling. There was a modern key card lock system, a fabulous bathroom and great views. Then, I was transferred to a room in the older section. Here, the bathroom had only a hand held shower head, the grout was discolored and the water didn't drain well, leaving me standing in a puddle while using the sink. The wood furniture and floor was scuffed and worn. The door lock used a key and was a bit flimsy. That said, it had a balcony overlooking the beach that offered the same great views. Avoid the first floor, as others have said, because people walk by on the way to breakfast and there is little privacy. El Nido beach is very busy, with walkers, vendors, even motorcycles, so be sure to get a higher floor.

Disclaimer: This was during check out. Overall, it was a good value for money. I's safe and near the town and el nido dock. You can just walk to find food. Although, they don't have the best amenities, it was good. Most stays in El Nido are quite expensive so this one was a catch.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The spa massage was great. The pool was nice. We were able to book the private island hopping tour and rent a scooter right at the reception, which was very convenient. Everything was clean. There is a complimentary transfer to the papaya beach. We would recommend staying here.

This is a nice hotel, we had a beach view room on the second floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s about 10 minutes drive to Downtown El Nido. Breakfast was good and they have happy hour cocktails whole day! Only negative- lot’s of ants 😅🤭 and bathroom a bit outdated.

A real mixed bag here, the location is good and the rooms are large, clean, beds comfortable and the ac works well. The staff are friendly. Those are the positives. The food, breakfast in particular is atrocious for a hotel in this price range the restaurant staff idle about playing on their phones. The rooms were cleaned very late in the day on several occasions. The internet is weak from the rooms.Whilst the front desk staff are friendly they are pretty clueless and on wanting to escalate certain issues I am told that the management are based in Puerto Princessa. With good management and a complete overhaul of the menu and some internet boosters this could be a great hotel.

It is a hotel very close to the beach and close to the excursions that leave from the port, many places to dine, nice pool. I had problems when I arrived with the internet connection, TV working badly, hot water, etc; finally, due to insistence, they upgraded me to a bigger room but with cleaning and maintenance problems as well. Forgettable breakfast. I think it is a hotel with great potential due to its location and facilities, but they should pay attention to the details of cleaning, maintenance and so on, instead of naming everything in the hotel (even the toilet tank cover), manage it with Someone who has been in a large hotel chain to see all the shortcomings as today it seems to be run by families with no experience in hotel quality.

Really love this place 🩵 Romatic, relaxing and the most important, staff is so kind and approacheable 🥰. 15 to 20mins from town, 3 to 5mins from the beach though there is no direct access but it’s nearby… I recommend to book directly at the reception if you want to do island & inland tours, zipline, canopy and other activities… Massages here is super B! than in town 😉 Rooms are clean and they clean it daily, food is great especially pizza 💕

Our room was very nice with a great view however there was an unpleasant odor that permeated the room throughout my stay. The video screen was difficult to operate and the hotel should have provided a demonstration on how to use it at check-in. They offered a free service to and from other areas in El Nido and should have continued this service even after the swimming pool was repaired. They changed the time of the free ice cream and popcorn without much of a prior warning. I enjoyed the food in the 7th floor bar area. The happy hour 2 for 1's was very nice, and the buffet at breakfast was extremely tasteful! .

Our room was very nice, clean and large. The location of the hotel with the private beach was of course the absolute highlight. The staff was super friendly. Kayaks etc. could be borrowed for free, which is also a big plus. Unfortunately, there was only boiled coffee at breakfast, you had to pay extra for the rest - I find it really sad at the price. Likewise, the staff is sometimes very slow. When I sit alone at the pool bar and have to wait 15 minutes for my coke + have to point it out again, it's really a shame.
