I couldn’t get a hotel in Bern for a 3 day business meeting so a friend recommended looking for a hotel in Thun, and I am glad I did. It’s a beautiful hotel by the lake with amazing landscape. I stayed on the second floor in the grand lit room. My view wasn’t the lake but it wasn’t bad either. The room is big, well lit by the sun with a small balcony. Thun is 20 minutes on the train from Bern and the hotel is not too far from Thun Station. On Bus number 1, it’s the second stop. The hotel gives complimentary travel ticket anywhere within Thun. My check in was like two seconds. The hotel is quiet and lovely. The rooms do not have air conditioning but with a hotel by the lake who needs air conditioning just crack open you window or balcony door. Small fans are available in the room. There is a central ironing room so don’t except to see and iron in your room The breakfast is very basic, nothing fantastic. It was a good experience for me and I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located near the Thunsee. It has a large terrace that will certainly invite you to stay in summer. The rooms are quite large and very clean. The toilet with shower is also sufficient for 2 people to make up. If something wasn't exactly like my taste, then it was the mattress in the bed. For me it was just too soft. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had a wide selection of bread, fruit, confectionery, etc., I can recommend this hotel further.

As an organiser, I have hosted a whole dance company with 26 dancemen at Hotel Alpha. The staff went very flexible on request and cooked a great meal for the whole group after the performance. We were 2 nights in the hotel charming with a lot of love for details. Very nice reception, all together set and friendly whether hosts/in or staff. In the room and bathroom nothing missed with beautiful view. At breakfast there was a right coffee (no filter coffee) fresh summit different bread, cheese, cut and who wants to get a rhetoric, mirror etc. also yoghurt fresh fruit it was from everything there. 2 min walk you get to the lake to the ship board or for stay there are beds and a small fine buvette. Location is super we have left the car stand. Before the hotel the bus stop is after Thun in a few minutes you are in the center or after Interlaken that takes a little longer (about 35-40 Min) but it's beautiful everything along the lake. We were invited to friends and unfortunately did not enjoy the restaurant. Our friends know it and have been encouraging to recommend it too. On our next trip to Thun we will come back and will take time to let us be dear in the charming restaurant.

This was our second visit to Hotel Bellevue au Lac and again we were not disappointed. Lovely staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Our room looked out over the lake with a balcony where I could have sat all day. The location was very good with a bus stop outside the hotel which had us at the station in 13 minutes. Being by the lake we could hop onto the paddle boats with ease ads there landing stage was only yards from the hotel. Views were spectacular with access easy to tourist spots. The restaurant was a delight and breakfast plentiful and tasty. We sat on the verandah both to eat our meals and also to relax. We dined there in the evening several times and can highly recommend the food. We enjoyed ourselves so much here that we have already booked to return in 2024.
