Hotel Emerald Isle Ishigakijima

Ishigaki|0.14km from Ishigaki Island Village
It is one of the hotels close to the Euglena Ishigaki Port remote island terminal, and it is a hotel that can stay at a reasonable price compared to the surrounding hotels. It is small and small, but it is kept clean as well as other facilities such as the lobby, so it is better to use it as a base for the stone wall and Yaeyama remote islands rather than enjoying the hotel stay. (During your stay, you can get one sweet for free instead of changing sheets or cleaning the room, but if you use the hotel as a tourist base and spend a short time in the hotel, It may be a good idea to use the service) If you are a hotel guest (except for dinner time), you can have a free drink at the dining room next to the lobby (and as breakfast, Onigiri using stone wall ingredients is served as ingredients. You can freely choose the ingredients of rice balls.) I don't think the staff will be particularly unpleasant because they basically serve customers with a moderate sense of distance (although some of them are casual). The entrance is on the 1st floor and the front desk is on the 2nd floor, but you can get up and down by elevator, so even those with wheelchairs and other obstacles can easily use it. There is a small gallery beside the front desk, and mini exhibitions of art such as paintings and photographs may be held. It may be good to take advantage of the time of check-in check-out procedure and the time before and after meals. It's one of the hotels near Euglena Ishigaki Port Remote Islands Terminal, and is reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. Therefore the rooms are small, but they are kept clean as well as other facilities such as the lobby, so it's better to use it as a base for touring around Ishigaki and Yaeyama islands rather than just enjoying your stay at the hotel. (During your stay, you'll receive one free snack in exchange for not having your sheets changed or room cleaned. If you are using the hotel as a sightseeing base and spending only a short time in the hotel, you may want to take advantage of that service). Hotel guests (except for dinner time) can enjoy free drinks at the cafeteria by the lobby (And for breakfast, rice balls with ingredients made from Ishigaki ingredients will be served. You can choose any ingredients for the onigiri). The staff (although there are some who are not so friendly) basically serve you at a reasonable distance, so you will not feel particularly uncomfortable. The entrance is on the first floor, and the front desk is on the second floor. There is a small gallery next to the front desk, where mini exhibitions of paintings, photographs, and other artworks are sometimes held. You may want to take advantage of the time during check-in/check-out procedures or before or after meals to take a look.

Hostel SunTerrace Ishigaki

The location is in the city center, the design is very strong, there is an atrium office area on the first floor and the second floor, the facilities are also very complete, the kitchen and laundry facilities are complete. The front desk staff was warm and friendly, but the fly in the ointment was that there was no toilet in the twin room, there was no slippers in the room, the bedding was not very good, the mattress was too soft, the curtains were not shaded, and it felt uncomfortable when sleeping. People who pay more attention to the quality of sleep may be a bit uncomfortable, which needs attention. Overall, it is more suitable for young people who travel and come out to settle down.

I booked during the weekend. the room is clean & tidy, washing machine inside the room. have Cooking stove & oven but no cooking pan. the bathroom is good. It is about 10 mins walking to the city. Closer supermarket need about 20 mins walking distance. The owner was nice and a car park available, I think if you go the city, it is better by walk because it is hard to find out car parking and all parking need to charge in the city.

I didn't expect it particularly at the hotel I chose at the price and location from the remote island terminal, but it was much more than I imagined. The assigned view from the window was not effective 2F, and it was a room near the front desk, but there was no problem with sleeping, especially noise. In addition, the room was wider than I thought, and the sofa was installed on the window side, and it was opened from the feeling of tightness. I didn't notice it at the time of booking, but it was a free breakfast, and it was a lunch box distribution divided into several types, but the drink was also served and there was a feeling of price.

Stayed from March 15 to 17, 2022. It is repeated because I stayed in January 2016. This hotel is a short walk to the remote island terminal. You can see the port from the room and see Iriomote Island. The sunset looks beautiful. The 730 intersection is close, so the restaurant is close and convenient. Convenience stores are close. The location of the tiles is outstanding. The room is also comfortable with a tile floor. The veranda is wide and it is pleasant to see the port and the sunset here. The closet is a bit large. The bad thing is that the bathroom mirror was bald. Shampoo is not good. Especially the body soap was bad and I felt stress. Breakfast is small and taste is not good. Blue seal ice cream is free to eat, but it was not delicious because the temperature of the refrigerator was high or all soft and melting. Based on that, I think I will use it again because the location is good.

I used it on a solo trip for diving purposes. It's a bit uneasy to go out of the city and go out at night, but the convenience is reasonable, as it's a 15-minute walk from the remote island terminal and a 5-minute walk to the convenience store. If you want to taste the resort feeling, I recommend others including the location, but I think it is a convenient and reasonable hotel. There seems to be a free transfer to the airport, but it is convenient to have a transfer because it is not done due to the corona disaster now, and in the case of diving trips, it is often not rented a car. There is a washing place for diving equipment and a drying place with a key, and bath towels are also rented free of charge at the front desk, so I think it is perfect for diving trips.
Ishigaki Guesthouse Hive

At first glance, the neighborhood might seem intimidating, but don't be swayed by first impressions. Once you cross the threshold into Ishigaki Guesthouse Hive, located on the third floor of a building, you are transported into a completely different world. The hostel may be small in size, but it is big in heart. The space is well organized and cleanliness is top-notch, going beyond expectations. The bathroom is noteworthy, always clean, fragrant, and the shower water pressure is just perfect. Plus, all necessary amenities are provided. The kitchen is another highlight, well-equipped and organized, ideal for preparing your meals during your stay. However, the real standout was the hospitality of the staff. I was treated incredibly well by everyone, and the manager, Shingo, went above and beyond by introducing me to downtown Ishigaki and its locals. The staff member, Chinami, was equally exceptional, taking me out to the local bars and helping make lasting friends on the island. Before my visit, I viewed Ishigaki primarily as a natural paradise with outdoor activities, but soon realized that the island also boasts a vibrant nightlife with underground bars and clubs. I highly recommend Ishigaki and the Ishigaki Guesthouse Hive to young backpackers and adventurers seeking an authentic and enjoyable experience. Compared to my previous stay in Naha, Ishigaki outshines it in every aspect. I will definitely return to Ishigaki, there is so much more to explore and many friends I hope to see again. Until next time, Ishigaki!
